Yes the name of the movie was “love in the time of cholera” which it was written by Gabriel Garcia Márquez he was Colombian and received the Nobel prize of literature:) Shakira and him were really good friends. He wrote a piece on her back in 1998 for a Colombian magazine called Semana!

In this video she started with "fairouz" (an arabic poem from jobran Khalil jobran) then she sang her cover of "nothing else matters" by Metallica , and after that she sang her Spanish golden globe nominated song , she literally embraces cultures ❤

Despedida... this songs makes me so emotinal everytime I hear it. Yeah, it's a hmm flamenco-ish rhythm (but I don't know for sure as well). I was at this concert, but here in Brazil... it is AMAZING! DESPEDIDA is a song she wrote for the movie "love in the time of cholera", there's also another song there, a bolero type, called "hay amores". There's also "pienso en ti" (from her first groundbreaking album).
Despedida it's a "Bambuco" a Colombian (and other countries) rhythm (it's on 6/8)

La Despedida was nominated to an Oscar ( as part of the soundtrack of the movie "Love in the times of cholera") and it was entirely composed by her. This version of the iconic rock song "Nothing else Matters" has influence of south american music, one of the instruments played in this concert was Charango. The best part of making a good version of a rock hymn is adapting it to the own roots and make it iconic as well without disrespecting the original.

In this case there are not sounds of flamenco the sound is clearly influenced by sounds of the Andes. The instruments of andeans music are a derivation of string instrument of Spain but the sounds are diferents. The small guitar is named Charango and it is from Peru. These were two songs composed to The love of the times of Cholera, wrotte by the colombian nobel Garcia Márquez. The other song 'Hay Amores ' is a bolero, a tipical musical genre from Cuba and Mexico.Are sound of latinamerican folclore .

Actually the sound of this medley are closer to Latinamerican folklore, argentinian speciffically (she dated the son of argentinian's president for a while: he's the one in the Underneath Your Clothes video). But of course argentinian folklore music has spanish/gypsy influences too.
