The CyberDemon from Doom 2016 is a creature who is supposed to basically be Hell's ace in the hole. And it is for normal mortals. But The Doom Slayer is no ordinary mortal. Lets dive into its lore and morphology and see how this creature came to be!

Fun fact: the cyberdemon is one of the few , if not the only, demon that has absolutely no fear of the doom Slayer in fact he actively hunts down the doom Slayer as he holds a deep grudge against him for killing him in the past

It's heavily implied in the Doom lore, that a demon created the Doom Slayer's armor, so it's not surprising that his armor looks similar to what the Cyberdemon would wear.

If I remember right, a traitorous demon forged the Praetor suit for the Doomslayer and very well might have taken the design from the cyberdemon's natural armor.
As a small side fact, you can find skulls from other Balgaars in titans realm, some of which are much larger than the cyber demon’s...

I’m kinda surprised you never used the Model Viewing mode that you get when you collect the mini doomguys
especially since if I’m not mistaken they just give you the models for the boss characters meaning you don’t need to actually look for them

The cyberdemon in this game has a remarkable resemblance to the barons of hell from doom eternal especially with pale skin and wrist blades capable of firing energy
Not only was there a scientist there who was three days from retirement, he also said "I'm gettin too old for this shit" right before he got eaten.
The Cyberdemon is punishment for players like me that can't stop double jumping once the ability is unlocked. It teaches you the error of your ways in the second round when it begins fencing you in and launching those energy waves. You can jump them just fine...but if you double jump...well...

You're missing the fact that Hell incorporates other universes and their creatures, so they might have a common ancestor from a fallen universe.
You should do a video on the anatomy Doom Slayer would have to have in order to be so goddamn strong. He's literally ripping massive, armored demons limb from limb like pulling apart wet tissue paper.
The real question to start with is, how much of that strength is natural, how much is his rage and how much is enhancements from the Praetor suit.

@@mftripz8445 Well, not quite. The suit makes it easier for him to take in argent energy, feeding it directly into his body. He doesn't need the suit to do it, but it's like the different between eating soup with your hands and with a spoon.

It is now comfirmed that the term "Cyberdemon" is a specific race of the Demon Kin; that way, they can explain the design of the Tyrant (or Classic Cyberdemon) while not leaving out this Cyberdemon. That means both still exist at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if this type of Cyberdemon would return in Doom Eternal.

This cyberdemon appeared on a Doom eternal poster released some months ago, so he definitely has chances of appearing
After rewatching this because its a brilliant video lol I do have to agree with you after throwing the doomslayer and then looking at him rather than charging straight away like you said it remembered him from their last fight so I know he has the rocket launcher on his arm but the cyberdemon mainly favours range attacks now I say this because maybe he remembered that the last time they fought he didn't come off so well in close combat with the doomslayer so knowing this he went for the range attacks if it was a elite soldier or someone like that then the cyberdemon would know that he could just walk up to them and either crush them in his hand or cut them in half with that bone like blade that grows out from his armour from his normal arm. So basically yeah I believe that because he knew that close combat most likely wouldn't go in his favour with the doomslayer he went for mainly range attacks to try and get the upper hand this time. Great video man easily one of these videos is something I'll end up watching multiple times lol

It should be noted that the Mancubus armour isn't natural; they put the armour on the demon at a young age, and its rapid growth eventually leads to the armour fusing to the mancubus' armour. It could be however that the cyber demons' armour isn't natural either, and could have come from the UAC; from in game notes on the Doom Slayer/Praetor suit, we know the UAC did some heavy research on it, with it being the basis for their security's suits. It wouldn't be too far of a leap to say the UAC, to help rebuild the Cyber Demon (as the Doom Slayer likely put some massive holes through its torso), they used armour modelled off the praetor suit (in both design & durability) to help hold the thing together and (obviously) give it some extra strength and durability.
Maybe I'm right, I'm probably wrong. Either way, I'm a huge fan of your stuff, and hope you continue with it :).
Second most badass thing was the Slayer stopping himself with his feet. With the release of Eternal, I think we can agree on the first being the Doom Slayer launching himself through a BFG cannon 😂

@@RoanokeGaming I mean I get why they changed it for DOOM Eternal. They want to go back to the roots and make the demons look like their 90s counterparts, and some of those designs DO work but the old Cyberdemon design is not one of them

@@lachousalle31 it really doesn't look frightening if I saw THIS version of the Cyberdemon I'd be shit my pants horrified mainly because it looks like an actual demon lord or ya know like The Harbinger of Doom if it was a cyborg the redesign of the 90s one just looks like a fleshy Minotaur with cybernetic limbs and is about 98% flesh and 2% cybernetic limbs. The 2016 one is 87% flesh 10% natural armor and 3% cybernetics.

Id software, please add a cutscene where we see the slayer carefully sewing together the cyberdemon's armor to make sure it fit him properly in hell while demons look at him wondering if they really want to end up being a visual upgrade to his shotgun after attacking him
The cyber demon acquired the metal leg and arm after the fight with the doom slayer. He had the praetor suit at the time.

It's actually metal as heck that the Cyberdemon looks like it was designed to have gone through a fight with the doom slayer. Where, by the looks of it, he probably hacked away at its legs before managing to get up there and chainsaw its arm off.

I think the Baalgar demons have armour similar to the praetor suit and the Doom Eternal suit because the armours come from hell. The praetor suit was given to the Doom Slayer by a demon which is only known as 'the wretch'. The Praetor and Eternal suits could easily be based on the Baalgar's natural chitinous armour or a demon with a similar natural defence.
Also who the h-*censored* decided that demonitisation has to be strict enough to ban the use of h-*censored* !?

The angel gave him his power so he could avenge the people of Argent d'Nur but the wretch probably gave him the armour so it wouldn't get ripped in two.

@@megubean From what I've heard the Wretch was the night sentinel who betrayed his people to the demons and indirectly caused the creation of the Icon of Sin, and to make up for it he gave the doom slayer the Praetor Suit, making him near immortal.
@@dgrunklesamiii4615 what the armor do from what I know is a extension of the doom slayer which basically it makes it easier for him to use hell energy and he grows stronger faster which made it to being unable to be scratch
One interesting note I’d like to point out is that the name baldur is the name of the Norse god who basically could not be harmed, as such enemies that share the name have next to invincible armor or body. This was most likely the case with the Baldur demon who probably wasn’t able to be harmed by any other demon until the doom slayer came and killed him twice.
When you mentioned the natural armor looking similar to a praetor suit, I immediately wondered if the Cyber Demon was a heavily corrupted Maurader/Knight Sentinel. Maybe one that was put through the God Machine like the Slayer was.

What's probably the coolest part of this fight is the fact that the Doom Slayer doesn't fall when he gets thrown. Man just digs his feet into the ground, gets into a boxing stance, then death glares the bastard before grabbing his gun
I just like that there is one demon that never fears DoomGuy. Even though they will never win. It’s nice to know there is a being with a rival mentality to him.

I see two possibilities:
1) They fully confirm the "Doom Slayer is the future self of Classic Doomguy" theory. In this case, the Cyberdemon is a continuous reincarnation of the Harbinger of Doom, first slain by B.J. Blazkowitz in the Wolfenstein series, and destined to eternally battle the descendants of the Blazkowitz family -- which includes Classic Doomguy, at least in the mobile games Id Software made at one point

Another cool fact about the cyberdemon, in wolfenstein rpg, the final boss was a demon that looked exactly like the cyberdemon from the original games, after you defeat him with the spear of destiny, B.J. uses it to take out one of its arms and legs.
Wasn't the whole idea that these UAC were cultists who were worshipping hell? So they put it back together because they wanted to make the demon epic again and viewed them as holy?
