It's got nothing to do with the papers or the public for that matter. Though going to the papers with a story like this in my mind is a NO NO, and it's got more to do with i have a story to tell , you pay me and i'll tell you my side. Seems to me that money talks and merit walks.

When you’re in the public eye, sometimes you have to get the first word in because otherwise the media will report it with speculation and not facts.
