Founded on 19 March 1899 by Charles Cheers Wakefield in London; originally named the Wakefield Oil Company. In 1909, the company began production of a new automotive lubricant named Castrol (a contraction of Castor oil, from which it was made). The company developed specific oil applications for various applications of the new internal combustion engine, including automobiles, motorcycles, and aircraft.
Thr clue as to the age of the oil dign was in the sign itself : "king" (appointment to or something similar) so it couldn't have been 19th century. Surprised Drew didn't spot that...

I wish someone would tell Drew that if he changed the dual seat in the van to a single seat his back would improve no end, the dual seats were designed for local journies and to have two men in to help the driver, not for going the sort of distances that he does with Tee.

7:12 I'd love that Wakefield Castrol sign to go with the 2 gallon(?) green and black Wakefield Castrol oil can in my garage. But the Beaufighter/Spitfire pedal car? Oh yeah! Is it going into your garage for a while Drew? For Kevin Mith, my oil can lists other Castrol oils made, including Rotary aircraft motors.

I would love to have one of these little pedal cars for my grandson, he loves tractors, trucks, trains, airplanes and cars, my little buddy. From amazon, car hop trays stay safe.

*Man is awesome. We love our hobby to collect old things coz of history or very very rare items, and they have priceless price for sure and we proud to owned them. But when we die, our wife/partner sell it so cheap like a garbage. Damn!*
