A big “thank you” goes out to Games Workshop for sending us free models and books for their games, some of which may be included in this video. - Hry
It makes sense old one eye doesn't have deadly demise, he never dies, he always come back.
Maleceptor gives a 6” aura of -1 to hit on attacks which I don’t think was played on the first attack on the charge
Yup. I noticed this as well. Seems like the Tyranid player wasn’t as familiar with his rules as he should have been.
Everytime Tyranids get played, they don’t know the rules and it’s infuriating
@@johnnyohm4579 I mean, if he didn't use a -1 aura ability, maybe it's not that he doesn't know the rules, but rather, he understands the fluff of the Tyranids. They are the Apex Predators of the galaxy, and everything else is just food to eat. Not using the -1 to hit aura is a blunt statement that your opponents are wholly inferior and are going to be eaten regardless. So why not let them have little advantages from time to time? It's part of the psychological warfare aspect of the army.
@@auretioustaak6579 reading that definitely killed some brain cells, so congrats on that
@@johnnyohm4579 more matter ready for the Hive Mind to consume you say, winning. :)
Hey Mr Steve awesome battle report as always you and your guest are entertaining and awesome to watch. Just a quick remark the exalted eightbound have a +6 FNP so you when you have the +6 FNP from the khorne dice the eightbound go to a +5 FNP. It didn’t make a difference but I thought you should know.
I absolutely LOVE seeing world eaters again! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD
Deamon prince failed its Battle shock test when screamer killer used his ranged, he -1 on test as per ability. 1h3m
You can just tag the timestamp using the handy button on the comments 😂
That ending reminded me of watching Poker on ESPN where it shows someone's hand as 98% chance to win and then the next card dealt switches 98% winrate to the other player 😂
You would have scored the Defend Stronghold as Jackhals started the game on the home objective and they ability isbasically Sticky Objectives.
Every one of these Crusher Stampede videos are just getting absolutely destroyed by the dice gods. I'd love to see one where the large monsters get to FEEL like the terrors that they are. The past three (i think) CS armies get destroyed before they can do anything because their opponents hit everything and make every save.
Lore Old One Eye slices through Leman Russ's like its butter, but God forbid he comes across a chaos space marine or an imperial guard squad.
Eh old one eye can rip through leman russ. But just because you can rip through 1 tough model doesn't mean big squad should be equally fair. Or do we want game where unit can kill any target? Gw just fixed devastating weapons to not be ultimate kill any target type, horde or elite.
@@bakuchidancerOld One Eye is a 250 point epic hero with zero shooting or psychic. He should be able to rinse a 10 man power armor squad in melee with no problem.
@@gabrieldalton4307 wraithknight is 510. I trust you had no problems with him deleting any unit then and are in fact advocating reversal of nerfs?
@@bakuchidancer How are these two units even comparable? Old One eye doesn’t do mortal wounds, doesn’t reduce damage, doesn’t have shooting, or towering, doesn’t have 18 wounds, doesn’t have an invuln, can’t redeploy, can’t move+shoot+move, and can’t ignore terrain.
The wraithknight has literally nothing to do with this conversation, and I honestly have no clue why you brought it up.
@@bakuchidancer I like thinking of these as like theatrical “cutscenes” or “movies” if you will. It just feels kinda eh to have like a head cannon to how these armies met up, just have have the “cutscene” play out with the big bad alien terror of the “episode” charging into a squad just to kill one of them and then get deleted.
i like the 2 coat scheme of the 'nidz
World Eaters vs Literal World Eaters
Lets gooooo world eaters!!!!
Blood for the Blood God and all them shenanigans!
Milk for the Khorne Flakes
Hi! I am so glad that this channel existsl and want to thank you for your content. I'd like to ask you about blood surge rule. It is said that I can move up to result rolled on D6 and at the same time it says that I must end up this kind of move as close as possible to the closest unit. My question is, is that "up to" wording means that I can move toward enemy unit less than I rolled on D6? Or because of as close as possible my models must move full result? Thank you in advance for your answer!
Basically, it means that if you blood surge, you can move d6 inches (or less), and that movement must be directly towards the closest enemy unit. So you can't move them laterally but be an inch closer to the enemy to count, it must be directly to them in a straight line with no curves
@@moogaming5305 Thank you for the reply. So if I get you right after rolling for example 5 then I can move 4 instead of 5 but straight forward towards the closest enemy unit? I am asking because in our local community there are debates on this rule. Most players says that because of "as close as possible" I must move all amount. And that is the question.
@alexkotov3957 Correct, you can move up to the roll distance, but it must be DIRECTLY towards the closest enemy unit
@alexkotov3957 also, if you had to move the max distance, they wouldn't have said you can move "up to" that distance. That wouldn't make sense if you read it as you have to move the maximum distance
@@moogaming5305 yeah that's what I was talking as well but they demand that the wording "as close as possible" forces me to move full amount and this part is more important than "up to" one. So I just need to find some examples or references or word from a judge or famous players in order to prove this point to them. And that's something crazy.
Overwatch on the screamer killer doesn't cause battleshock (look at the developer commentary about that).
would have been nicer if the bugs would have been fully painted or at least half way decent
Seeing the white paint job and the chipped scything on the Maleceptor is frustratingly upsetting.
Paint your own models and play then. Don't judge other people's models.
@@franciscraft4541 just watch the video and dont comment other peoples comments - is a similar stupid request
@@Marshmallox43 That's a false equivalence. You're negative comment about the guest and their models is detrimental. Calling this out comment is not the detrimental.
@@franciscraft4541 I normally don't care myself, since art skill shouldn't give points, but the tyranid army feels like its not fully painted, or chose such a poor color scheme that doesn't make sense for the race it feels unpainted.
Hive Fleet Atrocious, lead by Old One Thick Layer.
more We! :D
Were these tyranids partway through painting or was the white/grey intentional? Just seems such a weird paint scheme for tyranid, especially since the orange contrast means it doesn't even qualify as looking like artic camo.
Seesh odd when a melee army brings out the things shouldn't be removed until the end of their team's first battle phase comment.
Games like this kind of show why randomly drawn secondary missions are semi-unbalanced, where they can completely swing matches if one person has far worse/better luck.
The best chaos legion.
Man thise poor rolls on nids side, so many 1s!!!
Thanks for the br
that was a great game!
huh, how can you make a World eaters army without Angron?! Are you sure you know how to play this game? ;)
Invocatus is objectively better and if Angron is on the board he has to be the warlord so you lose Invocatus warlord buff.
But that being said I always use Angron because it physically hurts me not to, and I’m not a competitive player.
Maleceptor was making everything within 6in -1 to hit, ignored that for most of the game I could watch.
Exocrine should hit on 2+. Great batrep!
Why dosen't he Auto-Explode his monsters?
There are cooler strats than auto exploding
@@Whoknows21356the auto explode does mortal wounds though, plus with the limited amount of models, might as well get the mortals in there as well
Do any of your tyranid lists have more than 60 gaunts?
Again rules
Whatever happens today, Korne wins...
Hey Steve you forgot to give yourself 10 points for painted.
I like the paint scheme of the tyranids looks very cool
I have to agree. You can see all the care, dedication and attention to details that went through while painting the army.
Also Lots of love in the building of the models. Unit coherency is almost broken for the psycophage as there is almost more than 2 inch in between the model.
lol came to the comments for this@@SirLarryLemon
Did you purposely not thin the paints on the nids? Or like, what’s the deal with the thickest white paint ever?
I thought it was undercoat? Army doesn't look finished
Not finished. I think it’s the first battle report I’ve seen on this channel where one army wasn’t painted!
I just don’t like how WE play this edition.
If you combined and World Eaters, you might actually get a fun to play army out of the deal 😅
I’m old school I guess but I really don’t like the all monster nid armies these days. I much prefer the horde armies sprinkled in with some monsters.
Gaunts aren’t exactly exciting, and fielding hordes of them hasn’t been super viable for a long time. I think a lot of people are tired of fielding armies that get gunned down immediately in the first turn.
i agree, that seems to be the proper way to play nids. I also like to see guard with a ton of infantry. Unfortunately trying to move and play that many models can be truly exhausting.
As a nid tournament player, I agree Hordes are more fun, but it’s hard to watch. Most people don’t know the rules as is, and already play slow. It takes forever for most of them to play a horde. I’ve seen people run out of time in tournaments because they were constantly looking up rules and moving slowly. I know my rules to a T, and it still tame the full 90 minutes of my time to play 5 rounds
Really miss new 30k battle reports
Why do people play tyranids without learning any of their army rules...
I can't really blame anyone for not wanting to learn 10th edition rules, they're so bad.
@@asteroidrulescompared to 9th? They are 10 times better
@@jackdifabio6810are they though??
@olegreg4787 Oh definitely.
@@Whoknows21356 the only thing I dont like is free wargear 🤷♂️ everything else is just so much more simple and fun to play
This video probably shouldn’t have left editing, the nids just don’t look good and the rules mistake hurt
Are those nids ful panted???not bothered just asking 🤔
Ugh, people need to stop trying to make the psychophage a thing. 125 points for a medium tough unit a 6+++ and meh damage if you roll extremely well just isn't worth it.
Sadly didnt enjoy this one so much, a lot of rules mistakes made it frustrating viewing.
Lot's of confusion in this video and the Tyranids don't look painted. I expected better from you guys based on past performance. I couldn't watch it past nine minutes.
I stopped at 1:30 min
armies are from quests so you get what they bring. I'm sure comments like this are keeping several people from going to play at MWG. No fun to be judged by anonymous internets people.
@@shadeling6717After seeing the broken scything, shoddy paint, psychophage gap, sprue connection points, and whatever else, I really doubt the submitter cares.
Steve's army is beautiful. The terrain is awesome. Steve's personality is always great and entertaining. The guest is the guest. This hobby requires people to join and put themselves out there to play. Stop gatekeeping and putting someone down.
Only judge your own models. Build each other up.
If you don't like the video, just don't watch it.
@@franciscraft4541 Its not gatekeeping to have minimum standards and people never learn to be better if all you do is praise things they do, without pointing out where they can improve. The tyranid paint job falls into a room to improve, when so many people have the same impression that it looks unfinished.
Where is Horus Heresy?
probably lack of people going in to play HH.
