I’ve been using single color shadows from Thrive. They recently came out with new eyeshadow sticks, but I used the highlighter colors as eyeliners for years.
😂😂😂 This made my day. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one rushing to get ready some mornings. Why does it take the longest for mascara? At least it does for me. ❤

That blush is a great color, thats what i like. Red and pink dont look good on me because i have dark hair and dark eyes, coral shades look great, but that shade was soo natural and phenomenal. Between that and the lip shade it is very youthful looking.

Sitting in on another person’s evaluation is how I decided teaching at the university wasn’t really want I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Part of me is glad I didn't know what I was getting into when I started teaching because I've always just sort of gone my own way with it, and deeper into my career realized I don't really do it the same way anybody else does.... and if I did it the way other people do, I'd be very unhappy. So I think if I saw someone teaching more "traditionally" I'd have not been interested.
Pokey mascara wands, the bane of my existence! Last Friday, I was getting ready to go to the Beach Boys concert in Annapolis. Final coat of mascara before we had to leave. POKE! I looked like I had been punched in the eye. Can’t wipe until it dries. That’s what happens when you lose track of time and have to rush.
BTW, the concert was great! Brought back a lot of memories.

I got the Elf Roller lash in Dark brown yesterday it is so beautiful!!!! And the lip oil in honey … taste weird but is pretty with oak Mac liner… or Luna 4.5 Natasha Denona lip crayon or NYX Sandstone or Nude Truffle all perfect … my lashes look like everyday natural long and full the color is perfect for our ashy brown hair lol and I also got the Laura Mercier eyeshadow sticks in rose gold perfect fall look and amethyst so pretty too! 🤍🤎🖤🤍🤎🖤🤍🤎🖤

I enjoy you so much. I’ve been watching you since you started your channel. You always have great content but your personality it so down to earth, and ya like much of the beauty products I do and we are skin twins usually- so when I see a product I’m interested in I come to your channel and get your opinion and find out which shade I need to get😂 Anyway, you are an absolute delight, truly. I am I assume close to your age and I have been also stepping away from base products which usually were my jam and moving into trying these stick shadows and quick one and done cream shadow pots. It’s just so quick and easy, looks like you tried when you didn’t really and it also doesn’t make your eye lids look dry or crapey so it’s a win win. If you have any more particular stick shadow shades or drugstore priced brands you love, please let me know below. The Nyx Jumbo multi functional chubby sticks I’ve gone back to and absolutely am loving (as a kid shade and some work great as a quick highlight without shimmer which I will avoid on my face at all cost.) The Milani and Colour Pop shadow sticks are always a win, but I am also loving Nyx Ultimate Glow Shots are also amazing for the above reasons and I don’t ever hear people talking about them. The Maybelline tattoo shadow pots since they reformulated them are really nice also. It’s a much thinner consistency vs the heavy thick very drying formula but they also expanded the shades to have flesh tone matte that work great as an alternative to the Mac paint pots (again thinner since reformulated, more hydrating than most pot products.)
I need to re-buy some of those chubby sticks because the white and black ones I used to use ALL the time as eyeshadow bases.

Speaking of the Dior foundation, how’s that working with your dry skin? I’m tempted to order it but, even the NARS light reflecting one got a little dry on me. How does that compare?
I'd say they're about the same in the dry level - though I've been mixing the Dior with the Smashbox a lot lately (mainly because the Smashbox is a little light on me and the Dior was sitting right there) and they make a gorgeous combo - though I do suspect the Smashbox is adding a little hydration as well.

Any suggestions for drugstore mascara for sensitive eyes? Most make my eyes water and I can’t wear mascara.
I wish I knew what would cause irritation! My first thought would be to try either the "clean" versions (CoverGirl has a new line) or the ones that are specifically opthamologist-tested (I think the Essence Lash Princess is). I doubt many at the drugstore price range are unfortunately.
