This video shows the training I am doing with my horse Emporio. He is a 4yo PRE stallion and I am an AMATEUR rider. I hope you enjoy watching us make some mistakes and some great moments under the guidance of Emmelie Scholtens. Yes the horse is behind the vertical sometimes and yes there is a lot to work on from both sides. But this is the truth of how we are currently going. I hope you love it guys â€ïž
Matt Harnacke youâre a bloody brilliant rider and heâs a gorgeous horse đ
Without even watching this video first...
Matt,
Seeing how worried and stressed you looked in your stories, just announcing this upcoming video, made me feel I should say a few things that maybe I shouldâve posted sooner. I usually never write down comments, but here we go...
I started following you ever since last year, because Iâm a horse fanatic myself and although Iâve never been a fan of the whole horseworld (I hate the competitionmentality of most people, not to mention the mental and physical abuse a lot of horses suffer), I liked you from the very beginning.
Not because of your looks, not because of your popularity, not because of the fact youâre an influencer, ... but purely because I was so impressed by your entire journey and the love you have for your horses. Youâre always so honest, you keep both your feet on the ground, you care so deeply for your horses and your fans that come to see you. And the fact that you always want to keep everyone around you happy and like you, says so much about you.
Not to mention; youâve travelled across the world on your own, built up a whole new life on the other side of the world, worked so hard to get where you are today and keep on doing so... and youâre ONLY 22 years old! Most guys your age will never reach the level of maturity youâre at.
So reading all those negative, hateful comments every single time you post something... It disgusts me.
Knowing 99,9% of those people will NEVER have the balls (pardon my language) to do what you have done, on such a young age.
On social media nowadays itâs so easy to leave nasty comments and move on with their lives, without having to think about the consequences.
But youâre left there on your own, dealing with those distasteful comments while you only try to share your journey to help others live their dream and take care of their furkids the best way you can.
I really hope you realise you do not EVER have to feel obliged to answer to any of them and that you donât owe anyone anything. Youâre not a product, youâre a human being. Theyâre not entitled to have any business in your personal life or affect what you share with the world.
Youâre such a beautiful, kind, down-to-earth person. Donât ever change.
Haters, go ahead, your heart out!
â€
Matt Harnacke I could watch you ride any day you're a great rider and it's nice that you have a trainer that helps you guide through a small mistake that day and helped you with the opportunity for your future days to come.
Emporia has come along way you both have a beautiful bond together for your future

You said this beautiful, and I agree so much on this!! đ„șđ„°
You couldn't have said that any betterđȘđȘ

The way you said it, is so wonderful and so true!
What he has done is nearly unbelievable.
And the way he works with his horses is so gentle and fair. It's such a pleasure watching his Videos.
In Germany we say "Pity you get as a gift. Jealousy you need to earn" (Tried to translate it). Most of the haters are just jealous of what you do and what you've reached.
So keep going and stay who you are! đ„°
Perfectly said as I agree with everything!
I've ridden horses a lot older than Emporio who were a lot more stressed even in their home environment so i am super impressed with Emporio. You'd really not expect a 4yo stallion to be like this.
It's all about how they were trained as yearlings. For an example. I rode a horse that had ground work started late and it was bad, the horse was super stressed and not focused.
My mustang was ground broke at 11months old (after being wild) and was taken EVERYWHERE till he was old enough to ride so he already had the exposure and he is the calmest, smartest horse I've riden.
@@darianavila3890 oh absolutely, training while they are young plays a huge part and i think it's a huge testament to the work put into Emporio that he is the way he is. Still you can't put temperament and disposition completely out of the equation. Two horses can be equally well and thoroughly trained and still react completely different to stressful situations. And Emporio reacting the way he does is for me a mixture between good training but also a good character.
Canât confirm that. Itâs a lot about character as well ...
@@darianavila3890 i think he is that calm because he has a good social life ...because he is grown up with a lot of other horses. :)
I dont like that you see his theeth while riding đđ
13:07, 'oh, that was dutch' she seems like a good and sweet teatcher
if Matt's an amateur then I've never ridden! đ
sofia X cosmo amateur just means not a professional it can be any level
I was thinking the exact same thing. Rethinking my skill ...lol
Loll true
sofia X cosmo amateur doesenât mean youâre bad at it. It just means youâre doing it for fun. For example: A chey is a *pro* at baking cause she/heâs doing it cause its his/her lifestyle. And amateur at baking means you do it for fun.

i love how supporting jesse always is. he helps and follows everywhere while hes never riding himself, thats something i really appreciate
Jesse is a sweet spirit.. we ALL adore him.
That's love X
Jesse is a very calming presence for all the horses. It's easy to see his love for the animals. What a great team they all make!
Jessie is great hes good with the horses as well. Natural and comfortable with them. I guess being around them all the time does that lol love u 2
Emporio : * peacefully trotting along *
two seconds later
Emporio : *demon screeching*
Annalise I love it!!! Heâs just a baby yet!!!!
Annalise I hahahahah lol
Welcome to the world of studs. We have a grand prix horse who was gelded late and straight made a judge laugh cuz he pig squealed like that in the middle of a test out of no where lol
When was that?
Dri_ Marie 7:53 onwards :)
Emmelie's voice is so calming! Matt, you and Emporio look beautiful together!
I didn't expect her to be so pretty... She's stunning
I think it's great that you're also showing that's it's not always perfect, and that somethings are taking time! This makes you a even better insparation for many people!
You are amazing for not being afraid to show the imperfections that EVERY equestrian has! Shame on the community for being so rude... Hope the attitude of the community changes for the better!
Hard, cold, cruel fact about some people - they envy talented, attractive people and Matt is also successful and surrounded by amazing people. Jealousy overload material. Yours horses are so happy and healthy and how they feel about you is all that matters.
I imagine when you have a high public profile, especially in the equestrian community, that it can be stressful to put yourself out there before the critical eye of those who ride and show. Horse people often seem to take tremendous pleasure in dissecting other riders and tearing them down. It is a sad reality.
But truly, this is what makes your story enjoyable to watch, from keeping horses at home, and the hard work and the benefits that entails, to keeping one at a professional barn, and the training and progress you are striving for...
These are the videos that tell your story the a best and help other riders.
Keep it real.
Good job
I loved when you and Jesse talked about the lesson afterwards, the way Jesse explained everything, it was so on point and just facts! I LOOVE THE WAY JESSE TRAINS AND ARE AROUND HORSES!!!!
After watching your Insta story, there's nothing to be worried about ! Just a young horse, especially a stallion, learning his job actually ! You listen to him and you don't force him at all so great job đ
SCHIN seriously! "You didn't force him" the guy literally has spurs and has a bit in the horses mouth hurting him, using pain to get the horse to bend and move in a very uncomfortable way for the horse the horse is literally strapped down he has no choice!
Dancing horses you know nothing about horses itâs funny
@@ellie-pm9hp do you? Do you know what's genuinely funny? The fact that so much of the equine world (like you) tries to jump at anything saying that bits are okayđ. Any Equestrian: "bits were used for years so that makes it okay, that means I'm not abusing my horse"
Like are you fucking serious?
The point of a bit is to hurt the horse so it does what you wantđ.
If you can't successfully ride a horse without hurting it then that really shows your riding abilities and relationship with your horse.
Dancing horses ....I didnât see mouth lathering, so I think youâre pretty extreme in you very rude comment. Iâve had several horses in my life and control is absolutely necessary for several reasons. Iâm pretty sure you donât know anything but the life of a troll. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY. You are NOT welcome here.
@@bettablue2660 Lol you're just like that girl "ellie" all equestrian like yourself just jump at anything saying bits are okay!
(read my comment towards her)
It's just so fucking sad horses are treated like this because of uneducated equestrians like yourself. YOU should be ashamed of you're self, some people are such a waste of oxygen. Wake up!
For me I don't really like our "Dutch dressage training style", but I'm glad you found a good match for you. My compliments for the honest look into the training.
she s not a better dutch riding teatcher. in the beginning emporior is carring his head well. she tels him to put him lower. when he is 3 to 4 hands behind the vertical she sais it s great đ€ą
@@LaminchenTV I don't know why you reply to me. I personally wouldn't train like that, like I said. However, I don't think that being mean or angry about these things is going to do anything. It's not up to me how others want to train, so Matt has to do what is right for him. And I rather have a transparent view into various forms of training online than that the same is going on behind closed doors. This way everyone can make up their own mind and develop in ways that are suited to their personal circumstances.
@@Pashtashe its not opinions when its about the horses health tho. and being behind the vertical (especially forced) is always very bad
@@LaminchenTV she literally explains why she has him slightly being the vertical at the end
OMG what a beautiful Horse Emporio is, and I cannot believe how well behaved he is for a four year old Stallion, he has a lovely calm temperament. you both looked great out there. Thank you for posting.
I noticed she got worried and nervous about her English. She did absolutely fantastic explaining things. Thank you so much for this video in the equine world we need more vlogs like this :)!! Wonderful ride you guys are awesome and hi Jesse!!
His seat is truly incredibly solid. I am shocked at his balance, so impressive! Beautiful riding, Matt!
Why? He has no reason not to be well balanced, please watch Carl Hester you will see an impecible horseman, which Matt has the potential to be
I saw your Instagram story and I'm so happy that you are strong enough to share this with us â€
I missed the insta story, what happend?
He talked about that it often looks like youtubers like him have perfect lives, but that that isn't true. He just never shows what he's struggling with while riding, because he'll get a lot of hate. But now he thinks he's able to handle that and show everything, including mistakes or thing that don't go perfect :) I didn't exactly copy what he said but I did try to explain as good as I can. đđ
Lotte oh I thought it would be about the whole him and Jesse thing
@@calistaharsulla3199 When i watched the first part of the story i thought the same thing because he was like: this has to be said i'm done hiding things
Friedi B. Oh , yeah I still think there is something between him and Jesse
âIâm so glad I bought boots because...nobodyâs got time for that.â
I FEEL YOU MAN, I FEEL YOU!!!! How does anyone have time to bandage every day!!
Manure Rancher I resent the fact that you presume I donât respect my horse because I donât bandage him. I use well fitted medicine boots instead! They are quick to put on, provide support and protection, are easier to clean, and I do not have to worry about pressure points which can be created by ill fitted bandages.
New studies show that bandaging or boots can actually be more harmful for horses due to the temperature that the leg gets to when in work. Leg protection holds heat in the leg creating inflammation and stress, and this heat sometimes does not dissipate quickly once the protection is removed. So over the summer I havenât been using any boots at all in an effort to keep the legs cooler, followed by icing afterwards if our session has been a tough one.
Please, leave your judgemental tone and condescension at the door and just appreciate the joke for what it was. Donât judge others or their alleged practices or attitude to their horse when you have absolutely no idea what they are.
Manure Rancher as was I and yet you reply with condescension again. Honestly, one canât even joke about a light hearted moment in the video without someone getting on their high horse, literally.
Barely see them in Australia, at least at the levels I've seen
The trot work toward the end of the lesson was absolutely amazing and gave us a glimpse of the tremendous potential that both you and Emporio have. Nice work!
I am an avid horseman for 40 years. I have been following you for a bit and have posted a time or two. I want to tell you how proud I am of you regarding your horsemanship. This video, especially, shows how you yearn for excellence and are open and willing to continue learning. So many times, young people and also adult new riders have no respect for continued education. There is always something to learn or unlearn in this sport of equine champions. Very pleased with you, your horse family and your life story. Keep it up. Hey, by the way, I put trash in my boot all the time.
Oh yes, the moments when you collected him for a short time , up he came in the neck and the trot was softer and i could see he will be able to extend eventually. Just imagine in 2 years when he is old enough to be collected. It's all going to come right . Excellent.
20:10 YES JESSE! I think we should see a Chase lesson! I believe in him.
I think that this is quite amazing! It takes guts to be able to post this raw, and it is wonderful. And I personally am glad you shared this, it shows that everyone can always be learning something and none of us are perfect. You just took us into what your life looks like, and you guys look really well together. This was a really cool video to watch!
Thank you for asking about / instructing us (the CZcams "Lurker Community!") about Rollkur. I did notice that Emporio carries himself behind the bit, and it's good to understand that this is a function of his physiology - rather than a training practice that you employ (not that you ever would!). It's just good to gain a better understanding. So - thank you - for bringing that up! Love your vids, and Emporio is an amazing horse! â€
I've worked with some lusitano stallions a few years back and experienced this exprem tenseness but on the same time that will to work and please. I think even though spanish breeds want to work like hell and are so easy in all those lateral movements (compared to other breeds) I still think keeping it easy in the beginning is so important. The less you do - the more you get in the long.
But Emporio is really an amazing horse - I think it's good you keep in mind he is still a baby and has loads of growing up to do.
I really appreciate that you show us some riding. I know that the equestrian community is ruthless, but please don't feel pressured to be perfect. Great to see how happy you both are, in the end, that's the most important thing.
I miss Chase tbhđđ
They are taking it slowly and just doing some fun stuff and spending Time together. So that's great, even though I have to say I'd like a bit more of Chase and Bear too
MoonWolf __ i think its prettig normal, he doesnât have emporio for that long and I guess heâs just training a little more with him to connect with him more
@@mvx337 yeah I get that, and Chase deserves his break
That's fair. But I think matt is super focused on bringing up Emporio that that's what he's most passionate about atm. So naturally that's what hell be making videos bout
Alex Whybrow ok? I get that lol. I was just saying I miss Chase and ofc little bear too, we canât forget about him.
As much as i adore the young stallion and his adventures. i'm still excited to see more bear and chase
Good to see your training video. I like this type of video as it captures the growth of the rider and the horse. Also the instruction from your trainer is very clear and good for learning. Thanks for sharing.
Love seeing the development in him! You can obviously see his hind legs are getting much stronger. The tilting of the head will get better the stronger he gets. Young horses often do this when they lack a little balance and power (my 5 y/o has his moments still). My trainer gave me the great tip to slightly lift my outside rein the moment my horse tilts, to bring him back into a straight head position. Works great for me, might also work for you! Thank you for the video & f@ck the keyboard warriors/internet trainers :)
That was lovely to watch and helpful to see what your teacher was telling you. She comes across really well as a trainer, nice and positive. More of this please đ
13:09 âoh sorry..that was dutchâ

Matt, this was raw, genuin and very interesting. Very brave of you. Love all you share with us this way. Huge hug!!!
Matt you and Emporio both look so good together.đ You dont have to worry about what others think about you or the way you ride him. Because only you know what emporio needsđđ
Rike Furch : so true . Keep the enjoyment in your riding
This was very interesting, and thank you for sharing. It was like going to a clinic. I especially enjoyed seeing how when you did a teeny travers, it straightened him, and then I enjoyed when she had you think about a little piaffe, there were the beginnings of it. That was exciting to see. Although eventually being able to do the different movements with a well schooled horse is cool, sometimes the trip there is even better and more exciting. How wonderful to see Emporio respond as he did.
Emporio (if thatâs how you spell it đ ) is sooo sooo sweeettt!!!!!! And such a beautiful boy ..you take really good care of him!!!
Keep making amazing videoâs and donât worry about the people who say bad things about you because theyâre not true you love your horses and seem like a very genuine caring personđđ«
Love your amazing skills in forming consensus with the instructor and the horse- of course! Not a horseman myself, but love seeing the intricacies and how loving you and Jesse are to your animals.. I can tell, they really feel loved and secure. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world! Peace~
Heâs so beautiful, and tryâs so hard for you . Best wishes đ
i dont know what your parents did but they did it right! im so impressed with you. being so humble makes you real. love the little chuckle laugh you do. Emporio is stunning and only 4 ....blows the mind. would love to see you and jesse riding together one day. no training just a casual ride in the country. and of course the ending would into the sunset. love you both jes is o supportive and from what i can tell pretty funny. emporio is the horse of my dreams. so glad you have such a beautiful horse and cant think of a better person to give him the love needed. more jes on emporio if possible that was entertaining. a new fanatic here and of course i subscribed! keep up the awesome work!
Can Jesse do this too with Antares? A lesson with her
I really liked watching this video actually, you stay really humble and your love for your horses always comes first and that's why you're part of the few equestrian youtubers that i like !! Thank you for sharing this lesson with us :):)
Well done Matt!! Super lesson and your stallion is stunning! I am so glad you brought up the question of the neck; the differences, rolkur, behind the vertical etc. I think you are doing an amazing job with him, and you are so fortunate to train with an educated, experienced trainer/rider. Looking forward to more training, schooling videos. You certainly have lovely steeds! Thanks for sharing.
This takes me back to my dressage years in Australia. What a magnificent stallion; it is so interesting to see how his huge neck dictates his moves and even abilities. How fortunate you are to have such an amazing teacher whose knowledge will help you bring out the best this horse has to offer. I really loved watching this lesson. Thanks so much.
i would love to see you have a lesson with charlotte dujardin or carl hester
Chloe Price thatâs not necessarily the style of dressage I think he is aiming for. This horse is meant to be more aimed for breed showing? Or breed style. Iâve said this on previous videos, but he has such a sewing machine trot thatâs more up and down seeming.
Kenzie Shelley I agree with what youâre saying but I do remember Matt saying in a previous video, heâd like to aim for Grand Prix dressage with Emporio so I think he is aiming for that as opposed to breed showing classesđŹ
Lauren. M ooof. Hopefully he gets more freedom in his gait then to be successful.
@@kenzieshelley4172 I think he will ... already you start seeing parts where he is actually trotting, before he tenses up again. I recon in another year, he will show us that he can. :-)
Manure Rancher thank you!! I agree with suppling and I believe you should be able to change the amount of bend and how deep the horse is, but I would to see that horse go through a USDF training level test. Thereâs no stretch or elasticity.
Absolutely amazing to watch you with Emporio. You have a great connection with him and he feeds off your calm and gentle horsemanship.
He is coming on beautifully, you ride him beautifully too. Itâs clear to see you are a gentle considerate rider. Enjoyed watching your lesson itâs so interesting to see. Thank you for sharing đ
Matt, thank you so much for sharing this lesson with us, you are a great rider, and your horse is impressive in his demeanor for a 4 yo stallion. You are so honest, and I love your connection with your horses. Thank you again so much for sharing you journey with all of us.
It was a good video. Interesting to watch you and Emporio in a lesson. Would be cool to see you and Chase also. And, maybe Jesse and his grey gelding.
Wow I like how she is coaching! sounds very soft and quiet and sweet. Coaching without screaming, love it! Very relaxing.
Wow that's impressive because I mean he's a 4 year old đ±đđ
Y'all keep using his age as an excuse, if you go do some research and educate yourself you'll see, most 4 year olds in any event. Are very trained already and know how to hold themselves and be respectful. Especially in dressage or cow work.
gotbeefwithjeffree stargotbeefwithme why you gotta be hater? Some horses mature slower than others đ
@@madelaineking7936 who ever said I was hating? I love Matt I've been following his journey since he started, hes not doing anything bad. If I say anything that you think is "hating" just know I'm not hating on him or horses, I'm hating on your stupidity.
gotbeefwithjeffree youâre making it seem like he isnât as mature as he should be for his age, even 4 yo cowhorse studs get excited. Emporio probably wasnât started as 2 yo like almost all western/cowhorses are.
@@madelaineking7936 I did not in anyway say he isnt mature. He is very mature, you're just stupid. What I was saying is, he would be a lot better if Matt had him as a colt, he would have all the groundwork done, he would've had the opportunity to go go big places and shows before under saddle, etc. But Matt got him last year and has done exceptionally well with him and he looks amazing and acts like a champ.
Oh WOW! Regal tack colour, superb riding, gorgeous horse, Matt groomed impeccably, stunning arena and a trainer with a good eye. Informative and entertaining! Thank you!
Nobody:
Matt: *buys new stuff for his horses everyday*
loving the video tho! keep up the good work
This people are critical because of care and not hate! They are worried and that is nice. :)
They know about horse behavior and recognicze that a horse where you see his theets while riding that its suffer ( In this video you see that as well) but its no hate. Its just care. The horse cant speak to us. So we need to take care and recognise the signesđ
And Matt shouldnt be afraid of this because its can help him to recognize a diffrent view.
I think it's really amazing that you show everything! You show people that not everything can go well and I really agree with that!!
You can see how much you care by how you question things and ask whatâs best and make sure everything you do is whatâs best. Honestly people are cruel a lot of the time - I donât even have many subscribers and Iâve had hate so I canât imagine what it must be like for you with your following but at the end of the day all of your horses live amazing lives and are all extremely happy so thatâs all that should matter!
I dont get theory because his neck is big its okay to ride your horse behind the vertical. When a horse is behind the vertical or " to deep" you break the connection to the hind legs. So saying that Emporio will be more engaged when he's behind the vertical doesnt make any sense to me. This is no hate, i just dont get the theory behind it...
Loes Van Der Veen I have to agree.
Agreed, it is quite sad that a talented rider just goes with the FEI flow and the modern dressage. He could accomplish anything with a good classical training, the horse is amazing and I am not hating but this is not good for Emporio, this is the start of the rollkur and sorry to say, it will ruin the horseÂŽs anathomy in some years.
What I got out of what they were saying isn't that they want him behind the vertical or in rollkur, but he naturally wants to be that way due to his conformation and breed. They are allowing it more than they usually would due to his age and he has so many other things to work on right now, he just doesn't have the strength and coordination move 100% correctly yet. AKA, they don't want him that way, but you got to pick your battles until the horse horse is strong and collected enough to be balanced enough to be on the vertical.
â@@CharReed that could be what they meant indeed. But it still doesnt make sense to me. Especially because Emporio is still so young its important to teach him to carry his whole body in the right way! if they dont teach him now, it will be very hard to fix that later. And then im not even talking about all the damage that is caused by riding this way! The breed of the horse cannot be an excuse to "just ride him behind the vertical for now". Emporio seems a bit stressed during this lesson. i would work to a calm relaxed horse and maybe then see if he can collect more. But never ever behind the vertical!
Loes Van Der Veen I think the idea is because his neck is so big that he looks more behind the vertical than he actually is. Also, Emporio is 4, heâs still learning how to carry himself. Theyâre going to take things one at a time, and theyâre starting with frame and head carriage
So nice to see you sharing this! We all understand how hard it is to show our imperfections on social media, so just know that weâre all super proud of you, and thereâs nothing to worry about. Thanks Matt!đ

Thank you for sharing this Matt. I got on my green mare yesterday for the first time in months. I too was fortunate enough to have a Dutch Grand Prix rider (Mimi) be my eyes on the ground. What a difference! It built our confidence tremendously. Thanks again for sharing your journey with Emporio. I wish you the best!
Personally I don't really like the "dutch dressage style". Too much behind the vertical line(like seen with Emporio), to less deep an forward (if that is the right phrase), but like I said that's me personal. What ever floats you'r boat, man, as long as you a very close looks on Emporio and I'm sure you do.
so what i see with emporio is him being a PRE. they have a tendency to get behind the vertical. iâve known a few PREâs and they are all like that, it just takes time to let them learn how to carry themselves properly. plus emporio is young! he has a full life ahead of him to learn :)
@@mellillaa4863 I heard that to, but it sounds a little to easy for me doesn't it.... đ
There are always many points that cause such things just to say that's the breed is the easy way to go in my opinion!
Exept there are other examples to go (Totilas to name the most popular was also trained in LDR as far as I know wich is popular in the Netherlands)
You know I don't wanted to say that it doesn't work. I just wanted to point out why it's would not be MY road to go.
The goal is for them to be forward, down and out but it takes time to build the strength for it.
Contennas Chaos Matt says that he (Emporio) likes to go behind the vertical. He still learning how to carry himself properly and probably thinks that going behind the vertical is a way to get out of work.
@@mellillaa4863 You know this myth has perpetuated in the horse world since WW2 and it's nonsense. There is no biomechanical imperative for why a PRE would be more or less likely to "get behind the vertical". There is no science to support that view. I'd say in his lovley short life he's been trained to overflex, most likely by his previous trainer. Nuno would be whizzing in his grave to see what is being trained into his beloved PREs these days.
I am honestly riding along with you. Knowing the feeling of the PRE horse and how tense they sometimes get, and the feeling of it just sits in me so deep. I can feel it so much, even when it looks like nothing.
I think he is a gorgeous horse and you are really on the way Matt. What a great job - way better than Iâm doing at the moment haha! I sometimes want to cry, because my Spanish mare can be so hard to ride.
Canât wait to see more x
Emporio is an absolutely gorgeous horse. You're so lucky to have such a handsome boy â„ïžđŽ
Matt, I am a retired nurse and I live in the great state of Mississippi. I really enjoy watching it videos. I love horses and enjoy all things that pertain to horses and horsemanship. Thank you for sharing ur life with all the beautiful horses. I look forward to seeing the adventures that ur about engage in. I'm sorry about Chase but I'm so glad that u r keeping him with for now. He is such a beautiful horse. Emporo is also very beautiful.
You're such an inspiration, I've been riding since 2 and I've never been into dressage... Always cross country, and you got me loving this type of competing!
I had no idea you were such a skilled rider until I saw this video Matt. Along with your attention to details, patience and loving caring soul towards animals and putting in as much time and effort as you do, you will be a great success in the arena I have no doubt.! And, you have a one in a million best friend! Jesse is a jewel as fine polished as can get! I love watching the 2 of you grow over the years, makes my heart comfortable in the knowledge that the future of horsemanship is in such good hands,, being shared with all.
I am not the first,
I am not the last.
But when I see Matt's videos,
I click fast...
BTW beautiful video
You are amazing and your love for the horses is more than that â€âBe blessed!
What happend to the red horse truck?
I watch this video again and again, I love Emmelie and how she works with horses. We can see how Emporio and you have evolved from this video. I dream of a stable tour of the trainingsstal With-Scholtens on HorseWorld TV!
Maybe you didnât show it in the video but why donât you let emporio warm up first instead of instantly collecting his neck?
Your trainer is good I agree with her he's very knowledgeable I wish I had a trainer like that.
Great video, it was very interesting!
On the topic of the difference between the head carrying; I personally think there is a HUGE difference between a rider PULLING an older horse behind the bit on purpose and into rollkĂŒr, and a young horse FALLING behind the bit because itâs not strong enough to be on or in front of the bit without collapsing in the back if that makes sense.. my âhorse Englishâ is not good lol
Emporio just looks like heâs falling behind it a little, and that is perfectly normal for a young horse that needs to learn and to build itâs strength đ
What a great sample of a lesson. Very enjoyable to watch. Love your instructor's style and how sensible and calm she is about a stallion and allowing them expression in their work. Well done
I'm curious how emporios color Will change đ
Do you take emporio to the beach or a the flat sands and let him run and run just you too having fun instead of always in a boring arena going in circles day in day out or a nice trail ride we do it with our Arabian stallion he is 4 1/2 and he loves it so much we just let him go and hold on it's great fun for them .let me know â„ïžđ love from Australia
sue rode nice idea
U should do a video on chase again
Hes giving chase a break
Your horses are so pampered and so beautiful! It would be wonderful if more horse owners loved their horses the way you do! â€ïž
he's getting so matuređ
Loved joining in on your lesson Matt ! Fantastic đŽ Thank you Matt , Jesse, and camera crew ! Emporeo too. He's such a sweet heart . Hugs to all you and Jesses horses. Love that color on Emporeo but he'd look good in any color really ! đ
I like this video so so much! đ This is so useful for everyone who is watching your videos! I learned a lot this video!
I think this video is awesome! Keep going like this pleaseđđŒđđŒ
You two look amazing together. I could watch you ride Emporio everyday. It is so beautiful and relaxing to watch. Also, I can really see the overall development Emporio has made and the subtle changes in his body and carriage. Thanks for posting and please post many more of these.
I love how he keeps leaning over your shoulder like a good bond ..hes all like i love my human. Ok? What are we doing today? Lol
I love watching people have excellent lessons like this. Thanks for putting yourself out there to give us the opportunity to watch.
I would love to see him trained by Carl Hester and Alan Davies.
You can definitely see Emporio starting to spread his power across all his legs. Much more engaged in the back legs, and a bit less exaggerated in the front. Well done Matt, you must be super proud of him and yourself â€ïžâ€ïž
Your outfit and Emporioâs one are stunning !
Btw, I donât have instgram therfore I donât know what happened but no matter what, donât forget youâre an awsome personne
