    Salou is definitely a grower. I wasn't sure myself the first time I visited, but by the end of my holiday I loved it and have returned many times since. I was there longer than you so had a bit more time for it to grow on me. The buzz of the place in summer is great. It's buzzing without being OTT like some large resorts.

    Kevin the Carrer de Saragossa tourist market street is unmistakable either day or night from the wavey wooden 'roof' and now it's all led light strip decorated. The tumblers/acrobats are regular features in many Spanish resorts and the Canaries, usually from North African countries. Cheers DougT

    Instant like. Danny Boy, The Flower of Scotland, and Temple Bar are 3 of the better bars in Salou (went to the latter 2 every night actually since we found it that good for atmosphere)! The bars along the seafront are also really nice!
    I agree on all the good bars being more spread out in Salou though, it's... one thing I tend to dislike about it, but it's not that bad.
    Assuming that's it for Salou videos already though? Shame if so.

    We're going to Salou in September Kevin. Thanks for finding the Temple Bar, I now know where it is 😂. Aye, Salou is getting a lot busier but it seems they don't want tourists in Spain but where would it be without the tourists. Its they're own government that has caused the problems the locals are facing not the tourists. It seems every government is the same eh.

    The very top of the Ramblas has about a dozen bars,a fair few with live music so it's a pity you turned around and there's a lot of hotels and places to eat there too. That's Salou's trouble though, bits all over the place. You don't seem to have been to the old part of Salou, near the station which has more of the same. Its a bit strangely laid out but you've still got a fair bit to find around the place.

    Was in salou last summer..absolute rubbish..Just shops and restaurants mainly..Danny boys was rubbish..the singer if that what you want to call him was awful..no disco bars in the place, hardly any bars at all for it being so big..1 night me and the misses walked down from the fountain to the marina ended up in some Scottish pub down a side street and he put on some Scottish TV comedy..it was the best thing we found to do that night but it was also sad that it was the best thing to do in salou

    • @jambon7681
      @jambon7681 Před 25 dny +3

      It's a shame you weren't able to just enjoy your holiday anyway. Salou has never been on the scale of Magaluf, Benidorm etc. and I for one am grateful for that. It's nice to have a large resort which isn't overrun with sex shows, cheesy comedians/acts etc. but, different strokes for different folks.
