He was such a special singer - this may not be live - but it's the closest thing I've found to a live version of this gem - and I'll take it!

I had forgotten this song. Robin knew how to sing. Funny that he's 17 and singing "When I was young..." and it's not as silly as most teenagers are when trying to appear world-weary. I don't know why, but it always tugs at my heartstrings to see Robin at this stage. This gangly, thin 17-year-old, with his expressive hands and soulful eyes... so awkward and vulnerable looking, and yet already musically gifted well beyond his years. He would really blossom physically later, but his heartfelt songwriting and incredible vocal delivery were there from the beginning.
