- Filmed in May 2023 with a GoPro Hero 10, this is a full length view from the upstairs of Tram No. 2 from Seaton to Colyton.
It was a particularly windy day but the foam sound muffler did an excellent job at removing the wind noise but not dampening out the tram.
The Seaton Tramway is a 2 ft 9 in narrow gauge electric tramway in the East Devon district of South West England. The 3-mile route runs alongside the Axe Estuary and the River Coly, running between the coastal resort of Seaton, the village of Colyford, and the ancient town of Colyton.
Apologies for those watching at the beginning of the video for me panning around to my family. We were just quite shocked we had the tram to ourselves considering how busy it was that day.
Thank you, I enjoyed the journey. Look forward to more trips.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you sir for taking me down memory lane in the twilight of my life.
No problem... Glad you enjoyed it
This is a great video and love this heritage Tramway in this location.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I love looking at a livestream on CZcams located at the Colyford Station and wondered what the tram ride was like, it’s beautiful! Thank you for filming it :)
No problem. Glad to be of service 😊
I watch it too! Did you see the cam? I'm not sure, but it has to be on that pole on the other side of the road on your right. czcams.com/video/Er0vh8wkc-k/video.html Leaves of a tree are always blowing.
My wife and I took a trip on the tram in May 2023 too, visiting from Canada, so this brought back lots of lovely memories. I enjoy watching the livestream from Riverside.
Ah awesome... I'm glad it was enjoyable for you. Take care.
Canada is so beautiful. My Brothers family live there on Vancouver Island I love it.
My wife and I have been on this tram several times. Highly enjoyable!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice relaxing ride in a lovely Devonshire scenery.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you, Sir and your family. What a fantastic tram ride you had there.
It was longer than I thought. It would be.
Great Day and weather you had.
Thanks again. Must make that trip.
I happen to live in Dawlish. And I have been up that way.
To go to Peco Place.
Glad you enjoyed the video. I have to admit, we weren't too impressed with the peco place. I thought you'd get more than just 1 train ride with the entrance ticket.
A wonderful ride
Claude Lane is responsible for leaving us this wonderful tramway making use of a former branch railway closed by Dr. Beeching in 1963
Nice video, have often thought about going there, but dont know how disabled accessible it is.
Disabled access is very good. There are ramps everywhere and I think they have 3 trams capable of taking wheelchairs on board. Might be worth a phonecall though to make sure the accessible tram is running all the time or if it has to be pre booked.
Very nice ride and video , but I still thinks that trams belongs in the city ❤❤❤
A lovely ride! Thanks. How do the trolley poles cross over at the bypasses?
They use what's called a "frog" which is basically like a set of points for the wire.
Awesome
Thanks 😊
What do you call a tram that bounces?
A trampoline
Looks like you had a great time guys and a lovely day too. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Looks beautiful countryside and enjoyed watching.
Went on the trams at Blackpool in the 1980s and they were fun. Bit bumpy but really enjoyed them.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!
@@Westierules2000 I did enjoy the video my friend and thank you.
Our favourite part of the world!
@@patwilliams3734 Its beautiful no wonder.
24:32 Did he get a band-aid? 😅
😂😂😂 haha, never even noticed that!
@@Westierules2000 This is so funny. I have watched it several times and laughed. 🤣🤣 Hopefully the kids father has a band-aid in his backpack. They are sitting by the house near the Buffet sign. At 23:55 the father stands up and turns to his son telling him the tram is arriving. The kid walks away and starts running. He was running for quite some time before he tripped. Poor kid. 🤣🤣🤣
Can anyone tell me what is the white light that flashes on the post as the tram enters some of the passing loops?
The white light your referring to... Is that the one at Colyford station? If so, it's to do with the level crossing.
Thanks for the response@@Westierules2000 I was thinking about the entrance to Seaton Wetlands loop as an example. I understand the flashing light at the crossing. However, thanks again for the response.
Is this partly funded by the manufacturer Peco
Not to my knowledge but if it's is well done them.
