Brandon - Good stuff... Real Good Stuff! The only comment I would make is that most agents do not have a system (and/or are disciplined enough) to work a system like Real Geeks for the long haul because some of our best leads are the ones that are 2-5 years old... ones we have kept in touch with. But I understand that the newer agents don't always have the luxury of having a database like that to work. Otherwise the list is pretty spot on. It's stuff we have been working on. Thank you again!

Great video. I agree with all you covered. As a newer agent I’ve come to find out that face to face is by far the absolute best way to get leads. Follow up is key with everyone you meet.

CZcams has definitely been the best for me. I have made over $1M in commissions in just the last 2.5 years solely from YT and it's crazy how easy the business has gotten with the high quality leads that come through.

Excellent video and advice! I work in retail and I'm in the last chapter in my Chicago real estate licensing school. About to get ready to take my licensing exam. Discouraged by everyone talking about failure in the first year and tough market on the realtors Facebook group. Then I realized my school really only teaches the laws. It doesn't teach how to run a business, so I'm putting the time in to get additional real estate education. People like you who are much more experienced helping me a lot. Now I am feeling more confident about entering the industry. Real estate schools need to go beyond laws, they need to teach lead generation and much more! No wonder people struggle in the beginning! I would say focus on the passing the test first it not as easy and that is important. After you succeed interview with brokerages that have great training programs that will guide to the business

One thing I dislike about Zillow is that an agent can 'buy' all the zip codes in your area and Zillow will only filter leads to them. The deck is definitely stacked against you if you're a newer agent or just don't want to spend a ton w Zillow leads.

Yes but be sure to send mail to their primary residence.
As somone whose business is mostly from Geographic Farming. You're not wrong. It takes a long time to pay off but when it does it snowballs. If you're new make sure you have other sources of business and can light a match to 12-24 months of mailing $$$.
My team provides boomtown leads. I love my team leader, but I hate boomtown. In my first week starting it was good for coldcalling practice, but honestly it was frustrating. Decided to do FSBO on Zillow and got a listing my first month

Totally agree about FB ads. Complete garbage. The only ones saying they work are those trying to sell their systems. People sitting on the toilet bowl, browsing their FB, have zero intent on purchasing or selling a home.

What should I know as a Realtor that would make me so valuable? The market? Different loan types? What else?
I tried using Zillow to connect with an agent a year ago. Not once did they connect me to a live agent. Several times they called back within 24 hours but Zillow doesn't seem to screen RE agents ... there are so many duds in the RE industry that it's such a crap shoot.
I've been using CertiLeads for lead generation and the results have been great. I'm getting high-quality leads and closing more deals as a result. I definitely recommend giving it a try.
