Danny wasn’t lenient. He understood the purpose of the show. They lived in his house and “worked” in his shop. Danny got paid handsomely to allow the shenanigans.
And he seemed very fun. I def would hang out with him

Idk why but rewatching as an adult I respect Pauly, Vinny, Jwoww, and Sami for actually working or being responsible and covering shifts. Angelina especially lost my respect even more just no work ethic lol. I was working in a store at 17, covered a Sunday shift too like every week lol.
I started at 16 Taco Bell .. i did the drive thru by myself,calling names for the front orders and she was how old and couldn't even show up and "look cute" at least? That's so unacceptable and unattractive for a woman..

Same here. I spent my summers from age 19 to 21 at a very similar town called Rehoboth Beach, DE. It's just a few hours away from NJ but the exact same vibe. I worked at a seafood restaurant, and I'd go in all types of hungover, but the point is I went in. The bosses know there's gonna be a lot of hungover young adults, but the thing that makes the difference is if you have the work drive and take responsibility or not.

Every reality tv star looks like an alcoholic while filming because they don’t have phones or tv. they only have the phone to call family or whatever they need. they’re surrounded by cameras, so they drink for entertainment and they’re encouraged to because it makes the show more entertaining as well

Back then it was interesting to see how they were, now I like the show because of the genuine friendship and bond they have. I just think it's cool to see people who all have yelled at eachother multiple times be like a family now and seeing them grow together yk? Just my view on it, but I definitely get your view too.
