  • Who has priority in Amsterdam south in reality? A big porsche, public transport or an old man on his bike or young child cycling from school? Scenes in Amsterdam cycling paradise which are not often shown to the rest of the world.

Wow, I go through Beethovenstraat regularly, but I've never seen it that busy. That's terrible!
I hate Apollobuurt and Willemsparkbuurt though. It's the toxic mix of rich people in SUVs who think they're better than everyone else, and American expats with their American car-centric culture.
This should be the canary in the coal mine though: the gemeente needs to do something immediately to stop the trend towards excessively large trucks and SUVs, before our streets are ruined and the roads become an arms race of whomever has the largest vehicle, like what has happened to my hometown. When I go back to Canada, those giant Range Rovers look like small vehicles. It's really sad.

Wat een ramp inderdaad zo te zien, in dat soort straten waar geen ruimte is voor een vrije trambaan, auto's er uit een een trambaan van de hele straat maken, met vrijliggend fietspad.
