@@gabrielstancu4986 Hah, I didn't try outside the network but I was able to perform these steps to connect other users to the same shared database. I have an app that requires a shared folder which i did through sharing and network mapping, I created a user for the client and it connected like nothing and I was surprised how easy it was once setup on the network. The app is state of the art as well I guess as it created a bridge to the current configured server. Client just provides a user and password through the app. My initial thought was that I needed the server app on all clients in order to connect but that was not the case.
@@ibissantos9832 it is Made2Manage which also uses the reporting server services. I think I may have nailed it down to permissions and some residuals stored on the server instance. After I created a new instance I was able to get it to work by disabling the UAC on both machines, etc.

Only inside the same network (LAN connection)

@@scientist100 whats the name of the app? I've got it to work without having to add as much.
