Fun little trivia about Sunshine, since only the 7th shine in each proper stage matters every single not major stage shine is effectively useless. Including every Blue Coin this means all of that is post game content for people who want to 100% and have no other use.
Amazing how something as simple as adjusting Mario's size completely changes how you need to play the game.

"Official" pronunciations of characters from Nintendo have been weird lately.
A while back they called Kamek "KAW-mek" and now they called Lakitu "LOCKY-too"
Yeah, it's like Japanese pronunciations but emphasized weirdly.

Which is _especially_ weird in Lakitu's case, since that isn't even his name in Japan! It's "Jugemu" instead!

@Vargskelethor uncut: Full Joel: why did the shell did not kill the hammer bros. Hammer bros. not fully loaded, everything on the screen only load full on your scroll screen, and the scroll screen is only half the screen, when mario move in the middle of the screen it cause the screen to scroll. Their is a reason why you can't scroll to the left in Super mario bros. 1 because if you could you would just see the unloaded level front behind before it get loaded on the right. For example if you could go to the second half of the screen without scrolling the screen, you will see that enemies will not hurt you, and you can't hurt enmeies, and if you try to hit a ? mark block you just go right through like your a ghost, but no, the image is a ghost before it is rendered fully.
I'll answer Jobel's question. I grew up with both 64 and Sunshine, but prefer Sunshine due to how Mario handles in the game. To me, he just has really tight and snappy controls that never really felt the same since. Plus you can do some cool stuff that you can't really do in other games, obviously due to f.l.u.d.d.

I like Mario Sunshine, but it's definitely the most difficult 3D Mario alongside Galaxy 2 imo, except that Galaxy 2 does a better job of building up toward that difficulty I think, whereas Sunshine just springs it on you suddenly, which is why I never actually got all 120 (or was it 121?) shine sprites, there were a couple that just always eluded me (unlike Mario 64, which I completed 100%). I really should try to finish it one of these days. It's funny, because a common complaint I remember hearing about Sunshine when it came out was "it babby game, not hardcore enough", which I feel like must have come entirely from people who'd never actually played it at all.
I actually kind of miss that extreme difficulty tbh, as I found Odyssey to be way too easy.

people will say sunshine is clunky and slow and then defend mario galaxy's walking through sand simulator and it's much worse long jump compared to 64's long jump, don't get me wrong i like galaxy but sunshine's controls are really really fast and fun when you know how to use them, to put it down because of a skill issue and like 6 out of 80 missions being bullshit, these are the people that haven't done the 100 coin star in rainbow ride, or anything that has to do with the wing cap

I agree with the Mario Sunshine criticism, also the intro to the game is incredibly sluggish, has no subtitles and horrible voice audio, and I hate Fludd as a person (not as a mechanical tool)
Sunshine slander... well close enough, oooh baby I've been waiting a long time to hear someone who agrees. I think it's the worst of the big 3D Mario's. It's more fiddley than fluid and some of the missions are just bullshit.
