I didn’t know that stocking a shelf could be THIS uncomfortable.
Don't Kink-Shame
@@KingOfGamesss that's right... stock me...
Or exciting, depending on which side of the shelf you are!
Just let it slide.
Adds a whole new level to the "stuck in a wall/washing machine/whatever" that's been trending on the hub...
Rowan addressing shelf ben while simultaneously ignoring him is the best. It must be the face blindness
"Shelf Ben."
Super-face-blind
Remember he didn't recognize Byron until he put his cap...
Pretty good !
You mean Shelf-Blindness?
"I guess it's out for delivery," feels improvised, and prefect.
Really nice "punch line"
Byron should be worried… he might be replaced by that shelf 😂 (edit: B something man in caps)
Rowan being on the brink of realisation, yet still unable to process the sheer absurdity of what is happening in front of him. One of these episodes he will realise something, and VLDL will need a new sketch series.
@@BadByte It's Byron 😢
“Rowan, you’re ok with this?”
“I don’t know”
💀
"Stock me like one of your French shelves"
Definitely that would have been a great line.
As a fixture on board, you go down with the ship.
@@benwagner5089
Worth it!
"Not my department," Rowan, you're the manager! Every department is your department!
No, I think you'll find that the manager's department is delegation. Departments like delivery and stocking are for red shirt peasants.
Not my job
You're thinking of the Departement Manager. Rowan is The Manager
See?
Different things.

Still thinking that Techtown is a sort of Purgatory and Alan, Adam and Ellie are there just to atone for their sins.
That’s a very good theory
the sin: applying for Playtech in at all
Then who is Britt?
@@Ajar37Britt is an angel obviously
But what is Adam there for? 😀
Ben's performance as himshelf is what it is. Oscar worthy.
Actually they should at this point just change the name of the Oscars to the Bens in recognition of his theatrical genius.
Give that man a Ben right now 😂
Such an intimate moment between an employee and a shelf. So heartwarming seeing co-workers get along this well!
"You're making this man a very happy shelf" is not a sentence I thought I would hear today.
It is not a sentence I thought I would hear any day tbh
"I'm just a man, inside of a shelf, ready to be stocked." 1:58
Today???
Dobby is a free shelf
Same. I expected it yesterday though
You guys should do an episode where Ben comes in just dressed as Rowan and Rowan doesn't even bat an eye, I think that would be really funny
This. So much.
"allan, there is two of me now. Get over it!"
or in white T-shirt? 😏
Clearly he’s such a good manager they cloned him
Nope, Rowan will fight challenger manager since there can only be one manager.
0:13 "Perception failure" LOL! the subtitles team are amazing
Has Rowan ever passed a perception check?
**Ben's impersonation of a whale**
Lol the almost smiling/laughing at the "It's out for delivery, that's not my department" is very relatable there Rowan Lol
Why did I feel like I needed to make sure I would have to turn this off if someone else entered the room? 😂

@@VivaLaDirtLeague Who's the delivery driver again? Brian? Baelin? Can't remember his name... Don't see his Techtown shirt.....

"stock me"... felt so dirty in so many levels
"slide it"..."don't make this more weird man" 🤣
The fact that the guy in the shelf is literally in stocks is the hidden pun that made me really appreciate this video.
I didn't even notice that! Excellent!
"I guess its out for delivery." Flawless logic.
"we're stockerest, and what do stockerests do?"
"they stock shelves?"
"so, LETS GO STOCK THEM!"
We're stockers** was all you needed. That could also lead to a funny misunderstanding. One thinks about stocking shelves, the other thinking about stalking.
@@Nozerone, @joperhop was using the word that Ben used is all
Having put about 1,000 of those cardboard shipper units up, the most unrealistic part of this was how he managed to drag it all the way across the floor without the sides ripping apart and the product falling through the shelves.
And the Emmy for the most outrageous performance goes to... Ben, as the Techtown shelf No. 27
May have been Shelf No. 27 in the skit. But he was Shelf No. 1 in our hearts.
One way Alan could win in this scenario, is that when Ben gets home, he finds out that all of the boxes that Alan stocked were really empty. And that Ben went through all of that work for nothing.
Or Alan could have put their heaviest items on the shelves so Ben couldn't move.
He'd be back, claiming how outrageous that is and demanding his money back. And he'd get it.
He could dump rubbish into the boxes, then the shelf would take it out - and Ben would have wasted his time. 🙂
I'm pretty sure he would be held liable for fraud: false advertising.
He could just rip the shelf off of him, though Rowan would focus more on the shelf than the man standing there.
"I'm watching shelf being stocked" still seems like a wrong answer when explaining what's that sound coming from my phone.
😆
"stocking shelves isn't that loud rowan" 😆
1 things were missing to fully stock that video; the shelf eventually ratting Alan out to Rowen; "Rowan, Alan's still not stocking me!"
Legit one of the funniest sketches I've ever seen. Rowan even thanks the shelf for complimenting his shelf-stacking impression. It's actually a masterpiece. XD
You said it better than I could have
Parents walked in at "(seductive whisper) stock me," and panickily switched to porn, 'cause it's easier to explain.
😂
aaaaaaaand here's the best comment in reaction
Bored skit idea: Brit's character refusing to let a customer use a credit card that they haven't signed on the back, because the card clearly states "Not valid unless signed"
THIS
Rowan at the end of the month:
- You stocked that shelf, it's going out of your paycheck.
"I'm not making it weird, I'm making it natural"
That got me. 💀🤣
With the little lip lick too. I was wheezing.
That was horribly hilarious 😂
I was expecting the shelf to be to heavy at the end then when Ben gives up and tries to leave without the shelf Rowan yells at him to get back to work as the shelf. Ben then becomes a permanent shelf in the store unable to leave.
😂
I was thinking the same thing
i was hoping that would be the truth too
I wasn’t, but your ending sounds perfect!
This is some horror story man, good one. But their gig was awesome, to be honest, litle bit horor in different ways, but funny .
The subtitles on this channel ad so much to the experience!
Thank you for that. Now I'll have to go rewatch/read every episode.
Impersonation of a whale
I guess they skimped on the anti-theft measures, because those things around the door exit are supposed to go off if you try to shoplift.
BOB just rolling a Nat 20 on stealth
no he rolled low on stealth just Rowen rolled a Nat 1 on perception
Either that or Alan has a nat 20 on per.
@@jerthon1 More like rowan has a -20 to int, so even when he rolls a nat 20 its stills end up with a 0 perception.
it's Rowan being like "our store is Mimic-inclusive"
Bob rolled a 2 and Rowen rolled a 19 but with modifers rolled a 1.
Kept waiting for Alan to stock a box particularly hard into that shelf's face. I thought that to everyone's surprise, a man might've appeared!
Same! Or the Shelf being too heavy for Ben to move.
Or a mannequin of a thief.
"I'm just a man... inside of a shelf... waiting to be stocked" I feel like there's a deeper meaning there.
Ok, this is one of the best videos from VLDL! LOVE IT 😂
Don’t be Shelf’ish Allan
Genius🤣🤣
Man, I didn't expect 'stock me' could sound so... smooth... Well, another masterpiece. Outrageous ! 😊
Yeah ! Come On ! STOCK ME 🤗 Or rough 🤔😂
help shelf-bro, Im stock-ed
And here I was expecting Alan to outsmart the shelf by stocking it with weights or sale signs.
Inside every empty shelf is Ben wanting to be stocked. So, next time you see an empty shelf out there, cold and barren... just stock the shelf. And say, 'there you go buddy' as you slowly caress the shelf and walk away without looking back.

I'm not sure I should thank you for that, Viva, but I will...

Alan: "Hey Rowan, wanna carve out our names into the shelf with a box cutter just like old times?"
Throughout the video, I can only think of Ben’s poor back. That’s commitment right there.
Luckily we had him sitting on a seat 😅

Ben's not in the video, there's just a shelf, Rowan and crazy Alan talking to shelves again

The boxes falling off at the end killed me.
"Damn it Alan stock the shelves properly or it's coming out of your pay" Rowan probably
Same. Now how are they going to make it to their destination?
"I'm just a man inside a shelf waiting to be stocked. Stock me!" 🤣🤣🤣
Only truly exceptional stockers rise to the level of stockist as viewed from the perspective of the shelf being stocked. Well done Alan.
You guys are so good at making a scene so uncomfortable and Ben is amazing at delivering super uncomfortable lines and sounds 😂
I would stock the “shelf” with the heaviest or the most useless products possible. 😂
you mean XBox series Xes right now?
@@LuriTVlol I don’t know. Possibly. I was thinking more along the lines of old timey typewriters, old graphing calculators, the original Apple or Commodore computers, the original Atari’s, possessed Furbies, and all of those tech devices that would be impossible to use because they are so old and outdated. And luckily much of that old technology is also super heavy. So not only would he not be able to use any of it, he would be trapped in the store because the shelves would be impossible to move. Just a victim of his own greed and hubris.
@@Oudia777I'm not so sure about using possessed furbies. Using tools of the elder gods can really backfire.

Ben's acting is so good in this episode I just had rewatch it again today
Damn, Ben is getting very creative lately xD
Mad respect for Ben. The things he’ll do for our entertainment
Was expecting it to be too heavy and Ben was going to be stuck being a shelf until convinced people to buy enough for him to be able to run
Ben being a red shelf is giving Mighty Boosh vibes and I'm here for it.
OMG YES!
I have a headcannon that Ben is actually Rowans only friend, and he comes in every now and then to torment the low socioeconomic peasants to brighten up Rowans day, then just returns the product after. That's why when he ran his fix-it man scam, he actually fixed the things, cause he's always just looking out for his boy Rowan.
Precious
Ben, the shelf-made man
Nice
"Live life, once shelf at a time". Wise words to live by. I like it.
The greatest acting challenge of Ben's career and he nailed it
"Stock me!" I need therapy only Epic NPC Man can provide.
That was as equally funny as it was unnerving. "Stock Me" with Ben's face needs to be a bright red tshirt.
"Damnit I told you to stock the shelves and one fell off, do it again!"
It’s just so upsetting… I love it.
Probably one of my new favorite skits! 😂
I was expecting the shelf to be too heavy for Ben to pick up in the end 😂
same...
The boxes could be empty hahaha
"guess I'm a shelf now"
This skit is top shelf. Poor Allan really should learn shelf-defence.
Ben and Rowan are working together robbing Techtown blind 😂
I won't say that all their content is wholly original, but it's absolutely amazing how this channel can generate so much content using largely the same premise and characters, while remaining mostly entertaining.
It's delivery yes, delivery on the black market. Maybe Rowan will even buy them there thinking he's getting a good deal!
The whole time I'm screaming: "Block his face!" 🤣
Boxes have very sharp corners on them.
"Stock me."
Crazy fun.😂
He said thank you to the shelf. Bruhhh I can’t 😂
Edit: out for DELIVERY.. that’s gold.
Poor Alan. Gone insane, talking to shelves
Adam is my work spirit animal. "Hey boss this isn't right" "just do as your told"
If I was Allen, I would have put the most expensive store tiems I could find on the self, then quietly gone back to work. Allen's commitment to the store's well being is commendable.
After spending a whole day listening to the podcast, the episodes hit differently. You guys (the entire VLDL team) are just absolutely incredible artists.
I feel like Alan missed a lot of opportunities to fuck with Ben here.
-Could have put very heavy stuff on the shelf he couldn't walk out with.
-Shove the boxes pretty hard against his face.
-Put something with a horrible smell in front of his face.
-Tell a child walking in NOT to push over that shelf so they will.
-Clean the shelf first, thus spraying Ben's face with some detergent.
-Keep moving the shelf through the store while asking Rowan where he wants it.
Perfect opportunity for Adam to walk by and set down his eggy garlic fish on his way to lunch.
Best line ever : "Stop talking with the shelfs, stock the shelfs!" i know what ya mean... an then u wonder why there is suspicious fluid on the shelfs😂😂😂
"I'm just a shelf, waiting to be stocked"
I can't even remember what movie this quote is from, but it's brilliant!
THIS IS FREAKING HILARIOUS OMGGG!!!!! I love how they kept talking to the shelf while also denying its existence!
When he looked at Ben with the box I thought for sure that Alan was going to ram that box so hard in bens face😂
This is one of the weirdest VLDL sketches ever and Idk how to feel about it
Love and happiness?
@@VivaLaDirtLeague Not sure if it's Shelf- phobia or philia. Might need a couple more rewatches.
The R18 setting video still takes the cake. But this was a close 2nd unless i forget something :D
And the props dept didn't think much about how to move a cardboard shelving unit with empty boxes, but it was actually perfect to have some of the product falling off as Ben moved. Fabulous sketch.
Guys, this is some of your best work yet, pure gold
See, Alan just needed that speech to boost his shelf-esteem! 😂
“That makes you…Shelf Man!” -Captain Jack Sparrow
*cue Megaman X Boss Select music*
What a great security system at the door too that no alarm bells go off when unchecked products pass through!
Ben's red shelf face at 0:43 should be his picture for all future avatars/profiles.
It takes a professional to slide it in so perfectly. 2:36
Rowan nailed the unbothered management and supervisors.
I SWEAR they ARE just like this 😂😂😂
The fact that Alan has killed several people and not one of them has been Rowan means we're setting up for, and I don't think there's ever been a more accurate use of this phrase, the ultimate Boss Fight
Actually Alan did kill Rowan in one of the Halloween episodes. The haunted arcade one.
When Rowan acts like he's left his brain at home, it spoils the sketches. I was expecting Alan to, at the very least, thump the shelf in his face and on his hands with a hard box, then stack it with items too big and heavy to move. So saying, the shelf gave a very moving performance, one of his best.
The one package falling out while he leaves the store made it even more epic. 🎉 Fantastic,.thx !
Ben is literally the embodiment of Stealth 100
Ben? Where?
What do you mean? He obviously wasn't there. If this was a skit we would be able to see him. This is literally security camera footage of a real store. Pull your head in.
It's outrageous that this store doesn't have a front door that's properly shelf accessible! Lucky to escape from this situation with only being robbed and not sued.
Rowan nodding his head in approval as he watches Ben scoot out of the store dressed like a shelf is perfect lol
Ben is taking it to another level now! That looked really uncomfortable!
I thought his face looked like his rogue character Bob from the DnD campaign…you know the one who liked to crawl inside enemy corpses and bathe in their blood 👹
I started to take a sip of coffee and thankfully stopped when the back and forth between Ben, sorry, The Shelf, and Alan started up.
I should have known it was going to cause me secondhand embarrassment when the shelf stocking started.
i dunno... I guess it's out for delivery. Not my department.
Absolutely flawless
