Even though he tells people his name, most of them can not pronounce his name properly. Especially that useless Pyke and dull Mardle, they ain't got a clue
I think people just try to hard, I just say his name in my natural tongue. It's not necessarily spot on, but it sounds better then someone trying to force and accent
he's actually forcing a spanish accent to be easier to british and spanish people because in portuguese it's nothing like that.
I just don't understand why everyone in the UK pronounces the hard J when it's pronounced as an H in Spanish, so it's like deliberately mispronouncing the guys name.
EDIT: Portuguese doesn't pronounce J as H, it's more of a soft J as in the G in regime, so the hard J for native English speakers makes sense.
Not in Portuguese. We proonounce the hard J
@@sr.armada I didn't realise it was different in Portuguese, although when I listen I wouldn't call it a hard J, it's more of a "zh" sound as in the G in regime. But saying that, yes the hard J for English speakers in regards to DeSousa makes sense now, thanks.
