Not really, in a regular game have full visibility. So this effectively does nothing😂 That would be like driving with your eyes closed and guessing where you have to turn to get better at driving. Like they don’t have to guess where its going to go in a game, so all they have to learn is to get their ass to the ball😂
@@izabellaashby2358 it seems like reading it once was not enough for you to understand what was actually written... Have another go at it and you might get it eventually
I used to teach indoor soccer and I used an unusual method. I would have the team play with a mini soccer ball the size of a tennis ball. The moment they switch to a real size soccer ball nobody missed a pass. Sometimes you need to trick the brain to heighten your coordination.
It's just practice.... You train in a way that hinders your abilities so that when it's normal, it is easier because those restrictions aren't there anymore.
Stronger , don't they become faster with this tho? I'm new to this and English....stronger means like ..strength right ? So heavy attack and stuff right ?
I've participated in this in our work sports fest. We call it blind volleyball. I initially thought that we'll be blind folded 😂. After knowing that the net is covered it's still scary because you just don't know if the ball's coming to you or not. I'm not even a pro 😅 but it's it's fun and scary at the same time 😁.
Back when I played volleyball my teams always did this as an exercise to help with reaction times and to not anticipate what the other team was going to do. One of the more fun drills we did!
I did this as well in high school. My coach was an ex marine and she was very hard on us. I think that’s why she trained us the way she did. We ended up being state champions every year she was coaching though( 3 years).
I do that to badminton and it was hard at first but the more you train it simple it get and and the shuttlecock is fast so we have really fast reactions
We did this in hockey. I was a goalie and they would put a tarp in front of us about 10 to 20ft out. They slap their stick to give a hint of the direction and then shoot. It helpped with reaction times. You know where the shot is coming from but cant see it untill its already on top of you
I was like cool imma try this with my friends and then remembered that these are professionals and can't do it. Me and my friend could never get the game going lol
As a former setter this doesn't help as much as a normal scrimmage. This is just pure reflex training which is not an optimal training. People that found this helpful probably thinks that volleyball is all about spiking the ball randomly.
i do this in badminton training so we cant read the other person's movements so cant perdict where and what shot they are doing next. it also helps with reaction time and moving around the court quicker. on top of all that it is really fun
No it’s not. This is just dumb volleyball. It simply isn’t possible to get a good serve receive and it’s impossible to play defense. It’s dumb volleyball and a good way to get hurt.
We do this in school, except its just blind dodgeball. The net is set up with sheets blocking eachothers view and pins are lined up into 2-3 rows. Then the teams pickup dogeballs to throw them at each other's team's pins across the nets. Its fun but terrifying if the other team throws fast and hard. Later in the game one person from each side can go look at the leftover pins. Team with pins still up and the other with none wins.
Oh my gosh! I remember doing something like this in elementary school when I was in p.e! The coaches would put the colorful circle tarp over the net and the kids would throw beanie babies over and try to catch them lol
It doesn't prepare them enough to deal with incoming balls. It's best they also prepare for situations where they can see the incoming ball than just guessing and improvise their responses. 😅
Bro invented laundry 💀
Gotchu this time
@@VectorVerses thanks
That's fuckin wild lmfao! Their natural instincts are still there 😂
Lmao 😅
@@VectorVerses my pin is gone 😭
This is genius. Not only do they learn where the ball may go but they learn to be more of a team than before. ❤❤
To be fair, the ball can come from anywhere

It helps them improve their intuitions more than reflexes.
That's something an anime about volleyball would do as a training
And frankly, I'd love if we could have it with a female team! It'd be so cool to see these ladies' story in an anime

'The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle'
This is an actual training technique in soccer , loads of coaches use a tennisball too improve passing

We do that all the time in school we call it toebreaker

I’ve never seen a professional team solely comprised of 5’ volleyball players.
Professional is crazy, they are not good
They’re a 17U club team
A low level 17 u team
We did that in PE. Had a few different versions for rules. Was a lot of fun
as a volleyball player, i can comfirm that we do this all the time, to the point where our club has a special cover for each net for drills like this
This is the perfect technique to improve reflex time during volleyball games cause as they said, they can't see it or predict the movement of the ball
Professional’s is a strong word 😂
Yeah professionals ain’t playing in a gym with Cealings that low lol.
@@jasontu2636😂
That’s what I’m saying
No way that you called this a NEW secret technique?! 😂😂😂
Wow that’s genius. If you think about it, if they were to perfect that, they’d be unstoppable.

Practicing two skills. Volleyball and laundry. This is approved 😂

It creates more heightened sense of the ball and deepens anticipation of what shoy opponents may play. Brilliant!
they’re going back to their natural instincts and hanging the laundry
Yup It's always good to challenge yourself. And just step outside of your comfort zones, especially when it comes to.
Achieving new goals! 😊
I did this as well in high school.

Thats awesome
Professional JV players

Yeah
BRING IT TO THE OLYMPICS!!!!
Can't hate 🤷🏼♀️ sounds really smart 🤓
This is perfect they are having fun and drying the laundry good job ladies
We used to do this with a brick wall because it also taught us not to jump into the net.
I say it teaches them more than they expect. So its a genius move in my mind
Professionals is a stretch 🤣
I will definitely try this in my club 😂😂😂
Amazing! Sharpens the reflexes to within a fraction of a second.
As a volleyball player at practice we do this and it is so hard!
Honestly really smart way to train, these girls are about to play like NCAA athletes against their opponents 💀
This actually looks so fun 😂
We called this “Battleship volleyball”
Aint no longer secret 😂
The coach got them to do his laundry and hang it 😂
me and my team did this!! it was so funny 😭
Their natural laundry instincts came through
Shortest volleyball professionals I’ve ever seen.
Professional Blindrunners 😂
i think it is a great way to improve your reaction time
Ahhh yes the "secret" training technique 😂😂
Wow, finally they make it a challenge!
No it's called hanging the laundry 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We had this as a family reunion game😂
Women. These women are professionals.
I wish the artists of Haikyuu! sees this❤😂
As a kid, we would play this game in gym class.

Honestly looks fun as hell
This iS a great idea slowly introduce them back to the home scenery
My team did this, and whe didn't really have good blankets to cover the whole net, but it was still fun
Victor in the background ..."oh yeah😂" 😂😂😂
That's actually Austin Powers in the background. Pretty ptobable that he inspired a bit of vector tho
It's like "Volleyball Anime: Final Training Arc"
Goalies do something similar for futbol/soccer.
They face a wall and have a striker kick the ball off the wall, so they have less reaction time.
I fear of the lights breaking

That technique was like a shadow boxing.
I remember blind scrimmage when I was in high school in the early 2000s. We did them often and was the team to beat.
My PE teacher had us do that for a fun activity a few times for PE class and it was super fun :)
We played this in 6th grade, honesly one of the best games
Nah, we played that on youth camp :D
That ceiling is DEF too low 😂

these ladies are training by drying laundry so they have a back up plan in case volley ball doesnt work out.
Thank god this isnt instagram 💀
I do this with badminton over my grandmothers fence lol. It’s very fun.
Good job ladies!!!!!!!
This is such a great idea!!! 😮😮😮
We did this in the Boy Scouts back in the 1970s. My brother remembers it from when he was a Scout in the '60s.
Wow thats actually really cool. Thanks for the comment.
This is standard training for almost every net sport and it's very effective for reaction time training.
No it’s not. This is just dumb volleyball. It simply isn’t possible to get a good serve receive and it’s impossible to play defense. It’s dumb volleyball and a good way to get hurt.
In the philippines we sometimes use tarpaulin (trapal) as net and play, ussually its called blind volleyball and it is played often.
Looks like the ceiling is putting in much work
It was later banned when it was discovered that revenues at the campus laundromat were down 25%, primarily for the dryers! 😀
I have done this before in my practice it’s actually really fun and gives good for communication

Great training techniques...hit the ball and win the serve.
100% 5 middle school boys would still smoke them no problem 😂😂
I remember doing this in highschool. Actually not that difficult for serves, but it’s pretty difficult when it comes to tips
Its not all about training, sometimes u can also have fun
