Hey! It's me. Hope you like the remix! I had a lot of fun working with vocals on this one, something I want to get in to more in general. That Honeylune Ridge escape collab with the female vocalist is coming, but I've been busy these past couple months with commissions and getting a Cuphead album ready. DDLC was a very fun game that caught me off guard, and while I do have some gripes with it, it's a wonderful game that's free to play on steam. Great news everyone! The first steps have been taken to get an officially licensed Cuphead album out sometime in late February. I don't know any of the details yet but I'll keep you guys posted! Expect 5 more Cuphead remixes for the album, and possibly more if you guys still want them! Have a great weekend everybody

Undertale and DDLC are very similar games design wise. So it fits. In case you wonder why, check out RelaxAlax's vids on the subject. It's actually really cool.

Blitzstorm I mean, you comment about your opinion, don't expect everyone to just agree with you. I also find the whole comparing ddlc to undertale is extremely annoying. Self aware game characters is such a general thing for everyone to start comparing. While I do agree undertale was a good game, it got overhyped and was followed by a shitstorm of cancer from the community. As someone who is a ddlc fan, I reaaaaaaly dislike being associated with the kinda shit parts of the undertale fandom has done, so realize a lot of people are on edge about that subject.
Spicy Mapping i dont think i ever said an opinion that undertale is great in my original comment. it can be that i just like the melody so much that id go to extreme lengths to promote it. "i find the whole comparing of ddlc to undertale annoying", yes, i can relate, including cuphead and undertale (fucking flowey and cagney), but its not my fault that retro included an undertale motif in his remix.
I mean it's pretty damn obvious that you were reffering to undtertale, you obviously weren't talking about the melody. And also, i wasn't blaming you for the fact that retro did it, i was pointing out why saying it's an amazing thing annoys a lot of people.

What's incredible is really two fold: 1) that fit seamlessly into the mix you were already making 2) thematically, Undertale and DDLC both touch a lot of the same material so the nod was thematically appropriate. Form and substance, that was a superb call and I'm shocked more people aren't doing it.
