I'm glad you liked it. I love writing and playing guitar solos, but it's always a struggle to record and mix them in a way that fits this more electronic context.

I listened to this masterpiece in 2020 and lost track of it, but now it’s the end of 2023 and I came across it. Flashbacks and pleasant memories came again

Every other remix I found just drowns out her voice with the beat, as if they know they can't make her sweet voice work with their music. But you made it happen. You made it dark by twisting that sweetness just a little bit. Well done.
After a year. You are the first one who notices/comments about that, and it made my day.
There's so much fx and trickery going on to make her sound more adult and full along with making the articulations smoother without sounding unnatural. I think I ended up with 3 layers and over 40 fx overall. It was also pretty difficult to rip the vocals out of the original in the first place (that's why most people have just made beats over the original).
When I got this idea, I decided that I'll either figure out a way to separate the vocals or I won't do it. I only managed to get the first verse and chorus out clean enough and during the chorus: The 3 muffled piano chord hits that happen during the words "puddle", "world" and "choices" are something that I couldn't clean up, but they happened to work in A minor which is the key that it switches to during the drop. The original song and the happy parts are in C Major.
Fanfuckingtastic. Seriously. I don't really know much about music, but I love hearing about the process. You did a great job.
