Rain is a pioneer of the Korean Wave in kdrama and kpop. But …but ..he still so fire ..

Rain is the king.
My favourite song of summer 2020 (maybe the whole year) was Rain's Collab with Mamamoo called "it's fun/exciting.) It is still on my playlist and whenever I hear it, I can't help but dance. Also really liked his latest album from 2021, called Pieces. He has such an appealing tone to his voice. Also, loved the track that featured some of the members of ciipher - their own music gets better with every track, as they get more into their own style ; a lot of talent there.

I just want to add that I really really appreciate that you are starting from the beginning because too many people forget about the icons of Generations 1 and 2 of K Pop because Gens 3 and 4 have had more Western success. Without 1 and 2 there would be no 3 and 4 if that makes sense. Many many many new idols look up to Gen 1 and 2 idols but alot seem to have been overlooked by newer fans despite their current favorites idolizing these groups. (Rain, Big Bang, Shinee, TVXQ, 2NE1, and Girls Generation are the most commonly mentioned groups/artists to have influenced future generations) So thank you for that.

Seems Rain got the melody for How To Avoid The Sun straight from Sting's Shape of my Heart or at least sampled it.
Heh, it's certainly got that same mellow lead aco. guitar feel!
