I'm definitely going to use this for NaNo if I'm able to!
Love this! It's fantastic! Hasta la vista!
Just downloaded the app! It's playtime!!!
This ... might be It. The thing I've been looking for to combine all the various software and apps I've been using to write and edit my novels. Def interested in checking it out, at least!
Oh my god so far this is amazing. I've been looking for a UX like this. Great work team and thank you!
Trying this out and see how it compares to Arc Studio and its screenwriting capabilities....
how do I add a table to butter docs?
Hey, great UX but what does it better than Scrivener?
How do I indent paragraphs? If doc is exported, will it show indents? It seems there will be a lot of editing is exporting into Word...
I admit I’d kind of decided I didn’t need to switch before looking into it, but I think I’m going to give ButterDocs a shot even if I’m kind of switching over midstream with NaNo and all.
Thanks for a great tutorial! One question: What's the difference between a Project and a Document. For example, if I'm writing a multi-chapter work, would the work as a whole be the Project and each chapter a Document? Or is the Project level intended for something different (like large collections)?
Projects would contain multiple books, chapters would be in the same document.
Awesome! Thanks so much. @@michihuber
Does the AI assistant in the app learn from what writers input in, or is it only a research assistant?
We don't train it on any documents (or send those to third parties), those are 100% private. Only the text you enter for research questions is sent (or text you select to be part of your question). But by default, nothing is published to AI services without you asking us to do so.
Super pumped for this. Do y'all have an desktop app yet?
Yes we do! www.butterdocs.com/download
Do you guys have a side by side two documents feature? I super love it on Ulysses and use all the time.
If you hold down "Shift" in the app and click on another document it'll open in a second window. Notes and your outline information can be seen side-by-side with your document.
Wish I had this earlier
Block-notes is a fantastic concept, but I would suggest to not make it overly complicated by calling something like a clipboard function and try n give it a new name. Your application should be intuitive and fun enough for people to enjoy the experience. The merge function could be made much simpler as well. The merged elements could simply exist as a colored version and you could simply choose to unmerge them whenever you want and they can go back to be a separate version. You can always choose to merge permanently when you know everything fits well.
Your app also lacks a focus on it's target market. Is it for writers or is it an alternative to Google docs and MS word?
Overall really good new n new t
😢It would have been better and better to have an Arabic translation so that everyone, Arab and foreigner, could benefit and everyone could use it
