For armarouge and ceruledge specifically, I think it makes sense that their armor doesn’t change colour since a shiny charcadet would just be putting on the same armor as any other charcadet to evolve, but I wish they actually changed more about the main body and the colour of the flames
True but you could also say that about polteageist and yet they go into teapots that aren't shiny and then evolve with the shiny teapot

Gholdengo actually does have a shiny, but it's even more minescule than garchomp, which leads many people to think that it straight up doesn't have one, even though it does.
that makes me think that if it was even worth it for game freak to make such shiny. Whats the point if its REALLY hard to tell the difference? i still dont see the difference, i would need to see it spotted in a comparision image
That’s when you know you failed at the design.
If you can't even tell there's a difference then that's an absolute failure of a design. It's pathetic that in a very short amount of time that Ron can not only redesign the shiny as a whole but also come up with 3 different ones. Gamefreak has no excuse
Just as a note: The only thing that the shiny changes is the the gaps in the coins and the yes become SLIGHTLY more silver but not by much.

Bombardier's shiny is subtle but has an important reference. Its normal colors resemble a European white stork while the shiny is an oriental white stork. I really appreciate the details Pokemon puts in its birds so this shiny is actually absolutely perfect for me. I'm surprised you didn't do a black shiny with a red throat for kilowattrel to resemble an actual magnificent frigate bird.
In my opinion, the fixed one is also match as reference, cuz black storks also exist and are endangered species so it's fit as rare shiny version
I personally very much enjoy shiny Garganacl. It reminds me of shiny Regirock who I think has a heavily underrated shiny.

Lokix’s shiny actually does reference another Grasshopper Kamen Rider, Kamen Rider Zero-One. But I wished it’s shiny was like a more highlighter yellow than the muck gold that we got
I was about to comment that they completely missed the whole Kamen Rider angle and just said "dO PoWEr RaNgERs." Honestly, his first attempt looked more like Kamen Rider 1 and I liked that.
I can kind of agree with that. I mean, yes, shiny Lokix is nice but it could be better as a highlighter shade of yellow to better match Zero-One.
the Mausehold with red eyes in a genius an distinctive shiny that has roots in the real world, I love the idea.
Unfortunate that it was changed, but the first iteration of Lokix shiny fix (before it was changed into blue) was the best one. As Lokix was specifically referencing Kamen Rider not just Super Sentai in general.

In my opinion I love the chrome future Pokemon but I feel like they should have had lights that represent the color of the shiny version of what they are based off of (example: Iron Moth with yellow wings)
Yes same!! I completely agree you. I like the chrome shinies, I mean it makes sense. Everything is chrome in the future! I also agree with you on the idea that the lights on the Pokémon should have their original shiny colors like with Iron Moth having yellow wings or Iron Hands having purple hands and skirt
For Scovillian I feel for the shiny it would have been fun if they changed the body color to make it noticeable but also swapped the colors of the heads.
Is it weird that I like the normal shiny Quaquaval? I think that the pastels look very appealing. I actually have one that I named Josuke!

its not weird, just your taste, and thats fine. But in this case, him looking like he was left out in the sun for too long that he lost pigment doesnt fit its theme. Its a carnival pokemon, carnivals are all about bright saturated colors. I think that it wouldve fit better a different color palette that had strong and different colors. Would be easier to love, and also easier to hate, since bold choices make divided opinions because they depend too much on people's tastes, but this case was worth it taking the risk

@@gastdefender9625 I have a funny story about this Shiny Quaquaval too. So I was taking a picture of myself while I had a picnic set out and that fabulous frick walked behind me and basically posed for the camera. He knows that he's badass.
I feel like I'm the only person who likes shiny cyclizar, I really like how it looks like it's made out of some metallic substance like platinum and the blue dots really complete it. I like the redesign but honestly the original is one of my favorites of the generation and I don't get why so many people don't like it.
You're not alone in loving cyclizar's shiny. It was the 2nd shiny I got in Violet, but the 1st I actively hunted for in an outbreak. I saw the design of cyclizar and immediately knew that I wanted to shiny hunt for it. I was so excited that I started hunting for it blind, which could've ended badly given how unimpressive a lot of the gen 9 shinies are. Safe to say that I was not disappointed and shiny cyclizar became one if my favorite shinies ever. The accentuated light blue on a beige body is a great color scheme. Cyclizar's shiny (unlike a lot from this gen) actually stands out and in a good way, so it's unfortunate to see people dislike it and insist on "fixing" it when it's already amazing. Also, everyone seems to want to give cyclizar Koraidon/Miraidon's colors although they don't really look good on it. To me, those colors work for the legendaries, but not cyclizar.
I can’t believe they deliberately chose to make these shinies so bad. Especially with the small Pokémon you wouldn’t see is shiny right away. Looking at you Maushold!
Edit: I would have gone with black armor Armorouge and a silver armor Ceruledge. Keeping the red and blue of the non shiny so their names still make sense.
The names would make sense anyway. They were named like that because the average have those colors, they dont become a new species by having a rare mutation, people would still call them like that in the pokemon world because they are the same pokemon

Lokix's actual shiny I like cause its also a kamen rider reference being based more on Zero One but I like the sentai ones
I think Lokix color look pretty good, it a good reference to Kamen Rider (WHICH IS NOT SUPER SENTAI AND POWER RANGERS) Zero-One which have black and ofc yellow and also Lokix normal color scheme could also reference Kamen Rider Black or Black RX or Black Sun, but I like the idea I think I like the black and green with purple eye since it capture the color of Kamen Rider Ichigo to much but the red and green and blue look pretty good
Also if you go on Bulbapedia they actually stated that Lokix could also be inspire by Kamen Rider which I think every Tokusatsu know lol
If there were community voted shinies in the next Pokemon game, literally every single one would be black and white and red all over
Some of these shiny redesigns makes me hope that GameFreak recolour some of the bad shinies or make them their own rarer shinies that you’re able to find

they should add something where you can change the colors a shiny pokemon you own. maybe through feeding them special sandwiches or something along those lines
They still haven't fixed the abysmal frame rate issues in this game. What makes you think they're gonna put in any effort on the shinies?

@@jacobwright9351 yea, if we went back to those odds, it would still be easier than back then since pokemon spawn in open world so you can see them without entering grass or battle or anything and respawn them by leaving and going back. But as the odds would be lower, it would still be quite challenging
Coming from someone that always adored iron treads since day 1 and have grown to love it more and more, may I just say that the way you designed the new shinies for it were AMAZING! Each and every one of your options looked fantastic! Great work truegreen!

I love these shinies! I especially love the ceruledge and lokix. I’m surprised farigiraf didn’t get a new shiny. Its normal shiny looks good but I think it has so much more potential

Fun Fact here, Gholdengo has Shiny version BUT it's very hard to notice, Indents / stripes around his body are silver instead of orange
Yeah the difference is so little most are of the belief that it straight up doesn't have one. Kind of a shame that when making Pokemon number 1000 Game Freak very much dropped the ball when designing the shiny.

Lokix, as I'm sure you're probably gonna be told about a hundred times on this video, is a Kamen Rider reference. If you wanna say power rangers it, technically falls into that category, but the inspiration is more often than not greenish. Hence, why the shiny looks as such. If it were a Power Ranger, Nymbole would have to evolve into different forms. Kix is even in the name. Cus Kamen Riders have Kicks as their ultimate attack.
I like shiny iron moth already and also like the fixed as it males me think of a dwarf star. Quite fitting for what is fitting for the long future of the universe.
Bruh no Lokix's shiny is already perfect. Its yellow green color is a reference to Kamen Rider 01, who is grasshopper themed. Whereas its normal colors are a reference to Kamen Rider Black. Also you should have kept the 1st fix the same because it looked like Kamen Rider Black RX.
7:52 fun fact it actually does however it's shiny locked. The shiny for it is minimal though with it having blue bands instead of orange ones, also Shiny Gimmighoul is white instead of silver for those who want to know
I did a recolor for Baxcalibur weeks ago, where I gave it colors of Arstron from Return of Ultraman where I made the body blue, the wrist spikes, belly & knee plates red (as a reference to Matt Frank’s design of Arstron in the Redman comics) and the head and spine gray. Did another based on Arston’s brother, Ghostron. Where I made the body a brownish gold while the eyes are red. And I did one thats similar to the black shiny you made, but the spine, claws, spike wrist and plates have an icy blue.
PS: glad that you went with an orange & yellow shiny for Scovillain.

Speaking of shiny, I really hope the next Pokemon games will have a shiny indicator. So hard for certain types of Pokemon to look shiny in the wild. Love this video, especially the mousse pun for Tandemaus lol

That albino Maushold w the red eyes is so good, such a tiny change but makes it like 1000x cooler, love a good tasteful shiny that also makes sense thematically! I can't tell you how bad I wish that were real lol. Would be a pretty fun hunt too, to look for a mouse with red eyes.

Still by far the worst shiny in Gen 9
as a mousehold connoiseur, the albino shiny is very appealing. a simple change, but it looks more demonic and at least is noticible

I enjoyed this video so much! I think it's because there is something deeply cathartic seeing the designs getting vindicated by actual good shiny color schemes.
I would have liked to see how a Annihilape looks like with Gengar's color scheme: Red eyes, purple fur, possibly black limbs? Frightening!
7:53 it does. You gotta REALLY zoom in though on the lines in the eyes and on the body, which are usually copper but turn gray. They’re so thin that it’s impossible to tell. So yes, gholdengo has a shiny, it’s just the absolute worst right beside the gen four beaver thing
I wouldn't mind the Chrome future paradox pokemon... if the energy color changed with the base shiny as well.
i re coloured amrarouge and ceruledge’s shiny. ceruledge’s main body being a dark megenta and the fire being a pink fading to a yellow, for armarouge i made the fire blue to cyan and the armour blue, etc (pretty much similar to yours)

The armarouge shiny that got picked is like the exact same shiny that I made other than the flames being slightly different and ceruledge was the exact colors of armarouge
Part of me wants gamefreak to retroactively change a lot of shinies but uh I know better than to use the monkey's paw
Garganacl, lokix and Quaquaval are three of the shinies I consider the best in this region... I also think the future paradox mons have a great concept and even though Iron threads is a bit underwhelming I prefer to keep them consistent

I love bombirdiers shiny, this is honestly one of my fovourites, so any of these redesign's did not look better than it for me.
I hate they are called "Fix's" when multiple of them are i think worse than OG ones (not because they are bad but because OG ones were not bad in the first plece). I understand it, but you know what i mean.

I have had this shiny idea for scovillian and no one has done it! One head white for “ghost peppers” and one head orange for habanero, with the body a dark green!

I caught a shiny Lokix and named him Aruto, after Aruto Hiden, the main protagonist of Kamen Rider Zero One.
i like lokix shiny but i can understand the problem to me it looks like kamen rider zero one which i think if intentionel would explain the color because the suit glows so that might be the intent behind the shiny also the fact it still has the black which fits zero one with his suit having that glowing chartreuse over the primarily black suit think the eyes turning black would have helped
I mean, if it's meant to be a zero one reference which i still believe Lokix is intentionally meant to be I don't think black would help the shiny be so compared to say...red, like zero one's eyes actually are

Gholdengo's shiny is hilariously bad, GameFreak went with the silver route, but only for the lines on its body
I was really expecting Lokix’s shiny to be a more obvious Kamen Rider reference. Either Black RX or Rider 01/02. Maybe a Kick and Punch Hopper version
While I really like the shiny you gave meowscarada I personally would probably have made the flower a different color since it's too similar to the rest of the body (maybe also red or a pink or purple like the original ones)
Other than that an amazing shiny tho! Definitely would hunt for it if it was real
