Rule of thumb: no coffee or drinks at the interview. Eat before your interview as I was always taught in my early 20s. Oh and have a smile on your face and a great attitude during your interview. Period. Be humble. Sit down.
I would never bring drinks to any job interview because accidents happen.

Moral of the story- humble yourself when you introduce yourself to others or at a job interview. Making connections is great but it’s the core values and skills you need in order to get the job.
That spoiled girl used to be in Dhar Mann. I recognize her.
One of the rules: Never bring an ice coffee drink from Starbucks to your interview and drink it in front of your interviewer.
2. Don’t say “ is that really necessary “? Because they will not hire you if you say that.

In the end Amelia’s spoiled attitude cost her the job opportunity
My outcome: Amelia got lucky. While she was complaining in the streets she ran into the CEO of a designer clothing brand that she’s a fan of. They have a conversation which leads to Amelia showing her knowledge of high end fashion and the brand itself. Impressed by her knowledge, the CEO offers her a high income position at the company’s local office with paid training. It’s here that Amelia shows major character growth and strong work ethic, which leads to her getting promoted at the company several months later. She’s now much happier working a job that shows her best strengths. There is a drawback, her dad and his friends are now begging her for free samples of the company’s mens line.
Amelia's bad attitude gets her disqualified.

Had an interview.
Left my phone in the car.
Secretary had me sit and wait as I was 10 min early.
I sat there waiting quietly.
After the interview. It took about a month but I finally got a call offering a job.
My trainer was one of the interviewers. I asked her why I was hired over others if she didn’t mind sharing.
She said I interviewed well.
Then she said they interviewed 10 people for this position and they made all 10 sit and wait for the interview. 7 pulled out their phones while waiting.
Leave your phones on silent or in your car. They have no place in an interview and keep in mind that the interview started the second that you applied.
Outcome: Amelia called her father, but he didn't want to listen to her usual nagging, and instead cut her off. Amelia now works as a secretary. Sophie, with a lot of hard work, was promoted to manager and helped the company grow even bigger than it was when she first applied

I got a better one. Sophie works her way up eventually to CEO and being successful married and with kids. One day, as Amelia is cut off from her father, is on the streets, and they run into each other. She offers her the janitor position and she declines, as she continues drinking.
A secretary is a highly skilled position - realistically the entitled girl would struggle to be employed as a fast food worker. Street sweeper maybe.
Given *"Amelia's"* attitude, can you blame him? I've always been a hard worker, willing to prove myself. Bragging only gets you so far. You have to prove that you can do the work.

The "other Sara" (Sara Hannaford, th eredhead) played the same role...but Sarah M pulls off the Karen so much better. Seeing she's been doing it all her life, whereas Sara H is erltaively new. Disclaimer is I like both of them and hope they acutally do one togtehr on supermission some time...

She came prepared to the interview. Most places ask the same questions. Therefore having your answers prepared ahead of time helps.

Sophie Johnson's attitude makes her to be qualified and fit for the position.
Amelia maybe rich, powerful and pretty but it has some limits. Sophie is a decently-dressed, determined and hardworking young lady to land the interview , she knew empathy and humility!!! Interviewer will call the candidates separately, but hearing from Amelia's mouth some meanness will get her fired while Sophie will land the job on her own merit!!! Be careful, Supermission squad, the ending will show us the victor soon!!!

Hmmmm not sure if asking for specific hours during a job interview….i mean I guess it’s dependent on the situation, but….am I wrong to think it’s a bit risky?
Like would the company be seeing that as you being inflexible and unwilling to work certain hours, and find it annoying to have to work around your schedule
But then again, maybe if there is a company that thinks like that, you don’t want to work there as they will exploit you

Yes it pays to be humble and not brag about you connection. But I will play Devil's advocate here. In reality and I mean reality, prospective employers/interviewers expect candidates to be in business attire, not show up in sweats. That is a sign of lack of preparation and presentation. Secondly, Sophie's responses seemed canned, like someone being coached about what to say. There is no natural flow to how she speaks. But again, compared to Amelia, she is more deserving. So there you go folks..I said the opposite of what most of you are saying. LOL. But yes there is still a good moral lesson to this story.

See it's pretty obvious Amelia didn't have a chance to be hired because of her awful attitude that was why Mr Sterling has done purpose for calling Amelia to tell her he decided to give the position Sophie because she was more presentable and fit to work for the company too bad for Amelia.
