As a child this was one of my favourite games, simply because of the strange and mysterious story. What is the planet of the blue creature like? Is there an entire species of blue creatures that spread peace throughout the universe? How did King Pondos got the egg? Who is his sorcerer? Those are probably questions the creators of the game never asked themselves but as a child I loved to make up stories about the blue creature and his origin. I played this game multiple times, sometimes just to hear the completed book at the end.
Very nice review. There's something about edutainment games of late 90's to early 2000's that have certain unique magic to them. This was released in Finland too which was a neat surprise but apparently it's extremely rare. Well that's expected.

Meillä koulussa ala-asteella tätä pelattiin ja kun sama englanninkielen opettaja kiersi kunnan muissakin kyläkouluissa niin siinä tuli vähän sellaista pientä kilpailua että minkä kylän luokka pääsee tämän pelin ekana läpi. Ostin vuosien jälkeen kyseisen pelin suomijulkaisun CiB versiona. Tarkoitus olisi ladata julkaisu ja skannata ohjekirja myabandonwareen että muutkin saisi siitä nauttia.
As pointed out by someone else, this was developed by Compedia, and definitely in-house. It used Compedia's weird, proprietary engine (written in Turbo Pascal) and definitely could be a hunt-the-pixel kind of experience. It was one of Compedia's first games to target Windows 3.1. One thing that's worth mentioning is that calling what Ori Berger did for Compedia "Technical Support" is a monumental understatement and really doesn't do justice to his contribution.
Playing this on my aunt’s old pc from a collection of cd edugames was a delight 2000s memory! Title kinda bland, thought there was a rainbow egg tho i culd b thinking of Barney movie, barely member the alien. tho music n atmosphere was sure haunting, but I luvd it
