Cold WX Parka SVX
Introducting the Cold WX Parka SVX, the ultimate arctic Parka. The SVX is packed with Allied 850 fp, Grey Goose Down. Gore Windstopper and Goretex L&F 3L 30d Nylon protect the user from moister and extreme temperatures. 6 Weather sealed pockets protect your essentials. 2 front passport chest pockets for necessities on either side of the zipper . Arm zip pockets for identification and other soft objects. YKK Water tight zippers keep ice and liquid from penetrating the jacket. Glove sleeves cover the wrist and are compatible with small to gauntlet style gloves. Arm Cuff Velcro clamp down and secure the wrist. External lower torso pockets provide insulation for hands in the absence of gloves. Centerline Dual Zip Closure allows hassle free navigation of the jacket. 4 Mesh Storage Pockets line the interior on both sides of the Jacket. Mirrored pocket layout allows ambidextrous use of a hand held radio plus storage for additional accessories. Compressible Draw Cords at the waste keep cold air from penetrating the jacket. I just ordered one, here in the Netherlands... I really do hope we get a nasty winter here :-)
For anyone who wants to order one without trying it on first: it runs VERY big, so in case of doubt: choose the smaller one.

Yes, this is a brutally warm parka, but that's exactly what I was looking for. With 195cm tall / 70kg of weight, there's little "natural insulation" on my body ;-)
It is one of the six expedition down parkas I have and this one is one of the best. The only thing the Mountain Hardwear "absolute Zero" does better, is that it is completely waterproof.
Details on the cold WX parka are all perfectly thought about. From various draw cords at all usual places to the very high collar and, finally, YES, a really GOOD hood (one that NOT restricts your side view!!), everything is just perfect.
Sizing is way off though. Order AT LEAST one size smaller than you would usually wear from, let's say, The North Face.
That looks rediculously warm.I live in NY where has risen above 25 for two weeks.This jacket is probably to warm for that but if i was going to Antartica this would be my jacket.

@tacticaldistributors The Main Question I have is this Massively expensive Jacket For what it is actually going to be availible before winter is over? I wrote Arcteryx twice and their customer service is Shi**y to say the least. and on your sight or atleast before their was a Pre order button that said avalible 3-4 weeks that was actually on their seemed like 6 weeks before it was taken off. I check back frequently as I do want to get one of these in hopes that it is as functional as it is Cool looking. winter is in full effect in washington state sucks not to be able to flex a new Leaf Ultra Mega Expedition jacket. ☹
I bought this one from somebody who trades in all major, more high-end military stuff and he could log in at Arcteryx and see, there were just a few handful available... WORLD WIDE. It's obvious this is no run-off-the-mill jacket, reflected in the price tag also. Were you finally able to get one?
Does this parka hae a jcold weather temp rating? e.g. is it good down to -22F? or -30cj? And this jacket is worn undr the shell jackets?
I have read online that it's rated to -40F. Absolute minimum temp without terrible suffering.
