- This is just a quick video while I grind hard on bigger projects. I figured this was seriously just so much fun I wanted other people to try it. Fun is the absolute objective in a game like this so I hope you get a kick out of it. We even cleared a level 8 bugs eradication with this dumb idea and a level 7 bots and bugs. Probably could do 9, didn't try.
I apologize to the commenter who suggested this, I couldn't find your post to put in this video. I've never had so many comments to manage before and its been challenging getting to everyone.

This channel's a nice breath of fresh air from the constant cycle of hype/bust, just talking about the game and giving stats and tricks
Thats really my goal. I hate the hype farm and I enjoy just understanding how things work so people can play how they want without having to have this constant meta arguement.
It's nice to see you grow as a creator, I really loved your breakdown on the lasers and it got me to try running them seriously. You deserve way more subs with the effort you put in and the testing you do. It helps all of us spread democracy more effectively.
I really appreciate you coming by and saying so. I hope you had fun with the lasers. Good and fun aren't always the same thing and that's kinda what I try to go for the most. Maximizing for fun by understanding core mechanics so you can do what you want.

Two of my friends and I ran this strat on a level 9 bot extermination. We threw all 6 of our orbitals at once, and it was terrifying. I felt bad for the random with us, but we did make it out of the mission.
Glad to see someone else pick it up; it’s a ton of fun, and I’m surprised so few people have the “throw 6 orbitals in one location” achievement.

The 380 has an "eye of the storm" of like 6-10 meterrs or so. So, you can do this pretty darn well even without shield gen!

Very happy more people are starting to experiment with the 380. Was also happy they tightened the spread on the 380 and 120 because they were tough to use initially. So I'm also happy to see the shield strat work with this. (I tried using it with gatling at launch but it overwhelmed the shield too fast and I honestly didn't really have a good grasp of the ins and outs of the shield like I do now)
The gatling is pretty wild against the dome shield. I get the impression its hit based health not damage based health.

Thanks a bunch! I like to do a lot of editing work but I prefer a no nonsense delivery and approach and I'm pleased so many people appreciate that too.
Me and my friends usually do eradicates like this. Except we also bring the walking barrage, and skip the dome shield for another artillery or airstrike of choice.
The trick is to bring increased reinforcement budget and hope that you kill all the enemies you run out of reinforcements.
Its pretty much how eradicate works now. Terrible mission type but artillery at least makes it funish.
I was just thinking of giving the shield relay a try. This gives me all the more reason to give it a go.

This is a much better version of the bruh loadout. Seems like one of the only ways to actually use the barrages successfully

This is awesome, can’t wait to give it a try. I’ve been experimenting with 4 orbitals + Plasma shotgun and gotten surprisingly great results.

@@Reginald-sc9tk honestly? It’s hard to use any other weapon. With the new patch, I’ve got my eyes on the Dominator and the Incendiary shotgun which both got major buffs.
Plasma Shotgun is more like a Plasma Grenade launcher than anything. It can be lobbed 75 meters easy, and does more damage the longer it travels. It’s a one hit kill on the Walkers, can kill a dozen Bot grunts in 2-3 shots.
It can kill a hulk in something like 6 shots to the back weak spot. Similar with tanks.
Devastators? Staggers 3 of them at once no problem, takes 5 shots to kill. Comes with 12 clips, gets 3 per ammo pickup. In other words you can kill most things in the game with half a clip.
Two main cons: for some insane reason you can’t use it to open up metal doors, and it’s really easy to kill yourself when getting used to it. A pro can do almost anything with the weapon, I main it and as I said earlier it’s hard to use any other weapon, even the meta shit.
Small suggestion - you want to drop barrage first and then shield imidiently after
both of which last exactly 30 seconds so with good timing you only need one shield per barrage
I also recomend using fortified or democracy protects armors, i dont know which one is better though both gave me good results with the 120 and the 380. Also the dome is kind of underrated (just a little), needs a buff though, i just wished the hmg emplacement had the same couldown as the dome, they make good sinergy.
I think, according to data from Cashcrop_ democracy protects is the best but not quite as consistent.
Important note I learned: Airburst Orbital will destroy the shield in the first salvo and kill you instantly.
Yea, gatling blows it out really fast too. Kinda surprising.

I feel like people really underuse and under-appreciate how strong it really is, and I figure it'll be a good experiment to run too

I love the domeshield but I can never really get enough value out of it compared to any other stratagem. I've tried similar tactics to this, eg. throwing a Walking Barrage a little too close, throwing an Eagle Airstrike just outside the dome and I've used it as a cover for turrets/myself against all those damn rockets. Yet even with all the upgrades it never feels like anything other than a gimmick, one that I love though. Also only against the bots.
Its not especially good. I think it needs a duration increase, maybe a damage resilience increase.
@@Reginald-sc9tk Things like this is why I believe an upgrade system would solve most, if not all, of the games balance issues. While some things should get a baseline buff but being able to just upgrade a stratagem/weapon from too niche to really use into a actual choice against other stratagems/weapons would solve most complaints I think.

Hmm when you say that hellpods damage the shield do you mean landing inside the shield (i.e. the glowing yellow dome) or on the actual shield machinery? Or both?
