That was a very touching moment for me it was sad and happy at the same time thanks for sharing now I'm glad I got the game because it's one of few game's that touched the human heart💛🌈💛
See I never understood whether he actually died or not. The game doesn't seem to definitively say for sure one way or another. The grave part suggests it does but his appearance draws that into question. Makes me wonder if Luke did survive but Ashe died in his place or something like that.

If I recall, it was only a year, as the ending is to commemorate his passing. As for what happened, it is actually left ambiguous. They said it could be Luke, Ashe, a fusion of them, or even an entirely new person. There was some who even theorized that Jade may have created a new replica.
