somehow I DOUBT THAT. No square enix and no Japanese exclusives will ever come onto it so sorry to say but it WILL NEVER have the games 3025 and the service will still suck
This dude always tries to say he isn’t a Nintendo CZcamsr but he’s on my feed every other day with a Nintendo video. It’s okay that you’re mainly a Nintendo guy. Don’t fight it. 😂
It has to be some joke from a previous video as he says it every time. Like he is ashamed of being that. He also likes to pick apart switch 2 rumors while he spreads his own. Lol... Then he has the nerve to dis his old buddy Craig... Im not Bebop.
I grew up with Super Mario Land and still have my original copy. I never really played the sequel 6 Golden Coins until it came to Switch Online. I'm so glad that they finally added this one so we have both together in one place.
Same!! And at that time Gameboy was like magic! Gameboy was not the only handheld. We had Atari Lynx (color screen) and not sure when Sega released their handheld. But Gameboy had the truly best games, great speaker with lovely music and amazing batery life! The reason why Switch is so successful is kind of the same as for Gameboy. It's not about the best graphics possible, best resolution and best framerate. That's not the most important things. The most important is the entertainment and how good the games are: a great story, great characters, a good challange and so on. Better visuals is always very nice of course. Just compare Metroid 1 on NES with Metroid 5 (Dread) on Switch. So simple visuals in Metroid 1 but it's a so great game! What I miss the most in Metroid 1 is an optional map. It's not easy to memorize the map in your head 😂 Anyways these Gameboy games are still great! So nice to re-visit these games!
I had all three of these games as a kid. Great update and great video RGT. I remembered thinking when they brought out Mario land 2 that they had to port over 1. I recently picked up Mario Land 1 and played it on my gameboy player on snes. Still a banger.
Brilliant. Thanks for making this video. I played this on the original Game Boy and fell in love with it. I’m playing it a lot on Switch Online. I’ve always loved it.
I got the Gameboy for Christmas the year it came out and my parents gave me Baseball as well. Love it so much and still have the original cartridge from 1989. I still play it along with my original Super Mario Land cartridge on my GameBoy Advance.
Yes! "Alleyway" needs more love. One of my favorite GameBoy games. I used to play "Breakout" on the Atari 2600 all the time, so when this came out, I was so happy.
I played Super Mario Land on the GB before any other Mario game, definitely have more nostalgia for it .Loved the music and still have the Ambassadors of Funk single on a 45 vinyl ,which we got here in the UK
Daisy's first game on switch online at last. Note you have to beat mario land twice as "hard mode" kicks in if you beat it adding bunch of more bad guys to the stages.
I have a lot of nostalgia for Mario Land. I was on a roadtrip with my grandparents, and Mario Land was one of the only games I brought with me for some reason. I spent time in the room trying to beat that game when we weren't out doing stuff. I remember getting slightly further each time, and I think I finally beat the game that weekend, or maybe shortly after. Also, they had an arcade and I got to play Donkey Kong 3 a few times, and the hotel had an indoor pool, and the lifeguard was playing CDs from bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden I am about to embark on a roadtrip this weekend, so maybe I'll have to make some time to play it over the next week or so while I'm out on the road.
I grew up playing Super Mario Land and Baseball a ton on the Game Boy OG back in the day... such great times and memories. Alleywall never heard of nor played but looking at it and playing a bit, it is similar to Arkanoid/Breakout to me which is not bad.
Super Mario Land is the Mario game! I Remember it so well! It was crazy fun at the time! Only beaten by tetris, where you could connect your gameboy to another gameboy trought a cable and destroy your friends! It was mindblowing at the time!
I loved Super Mario Land as it was pretty much everyone’s other purchase if you bought a game boy in the first year of release (which included Tetris). Playing this game early on was incredible, there had never been a decent portable platform game before Land so the jump felt massive. And the fact it takes a half hour to beat was kind of the perfect length for a game then, since most games didn’t have a save feature and people played game boy on the way to school or on a car trip you could usually squeeze in a full game of SML and I don’t remember ever getting that tired of it… until TMNT Fall of the Foot Clan came out and didn’t leave my game boy for weeks!
I have both the first two Mario Lands. First on Gameboy, later also on 3DS estore. Later I ripped the two original carts to my emulation device and pc. So although I can play them on Switch, it's nice and freeing not being held hostage to a Nintendo subscription. They are great games. Perfect for on the go with half an hour spare.
Just yesterday i was using my nintendo switch after like 8months went to the gb area and i was like "How is super mario land not on this??" That game is like the staple gb game
You are absolutely right, I always felt this was a weird Mario game, I do believe I completed this game, it was my very first Gameboy game, I begged my mom to let me play before Christmas...Well I got lucky... From the weird fire balls, falling bricks & Egyptian style music all pizzled me as a child, the NES Mario games were more like you said, they had a feel that cant be changed unnoticed, thumps up I really enjoyed this video & Until Next time...Later!
my brother got a game boy pocket with pokemon blue at christmas, and after that i bought myself a bundle with a game boy pocket + super mario land + game boy "bag" 🙂and bought pokemon red ;) but we still played some super mario land but never as much as pokemon (i still have all my games and game boy pockets :D (the game boy bag too)
that's why you are my favorite nintendo youtuber! i mean, nobody plays these old nintendo games better than you did. just kidding, that's not the reason why you are my favorite nintendo youtuber
We got shafted on the US side. Japan GameBoy app got 4 GameBoy games the 3 we got in the US and then some Japanese RPG I think. I do not know as I cannot read Japanese but yeah I loaded up my Japan GameBoy app and was confused when 4 games are ready to play popped up. So yeah US got 1 less game then Japan this round.
At this rate we will have all of Nintendo’s NES, SNES, N64 and Gameboy releases by 3025
And somehow still no paperboy or skate or die
somehow I DOUBT THAT. No square enix and no Japanese exclusives will ever come onto it so sorry to say but it WILL NEVER have the games 3025 and the service will still suck
@@flatcapman we already have Japanese games on there
OMG THIS UPDATE IS THE REASON I KEPT PAYING FOR THE NINTENDO ONLINE! Super Mario Land was the first ever Mario Game I have ever played!!!
Lol. Way to shoot for the stars
@@pr6046 if you never played super Mario land you could never understand lol
Same bruh
No lie. Super Mario Land is my favorite Mario game of all time. I would just zen out and play it through over an over.
I think Super Mario Land was my first ever video game in 1989
The update is for the 35th anniversary of the Gameboy. These games were year one releases.
Super Mario Land wasn't on this thing the day they announced Gameboy? This drip feed is ridiculous.
Facts leaving out prominent games at launch is nasty work
They didn't want to throw out all the best games at once
Because this game isn't good compared to Mario Land 2
@@DS9TREK Right, they have to keep some games in the vault and leave fans waiting for more. That is just how they run their business.
if im remembering correctly land 2 was on there day 1 which im pretty sure is the better game by a lot of people standards

Dude. He's definitely NOT a Nintendo CZcamsr.
@@deantaylor8572 Bullshit. Touting 3 old GB ROMs as "AMAZING!"? He's a Nintendo shill.
Super Mario Land and Alleyway were my first two Game Boy Games back at Xmas 1991 - I have so many great memories with them
Baseball is a great game. I played all these as a kid. Baseball on gameboy was pretty rare back then.
the fact that game has sliding on that close call is amazing to me.
its nice seeing mario land with some color
I grew up with Super Mario Land and still have my original copy. I never really played the sequel 6 Golden Coins until it came to Switch Online. I'm so glad that they finally added this one so we have both together in one place.
Bruh, I called you safe. You got robbed.
Bruh. Mario Sunshine is my absolute favorite Mario game. That hurt my soul to hear you say that lmao
What? You must enjoy endless coin collection quests.
Yes we do enjoy that thank you
Bro same. I don't understand the hate for Sunshine.😔
Not my fav Mario (Sunshine) but same.
its a good game people just did not like the water conrol because it hard to control
Super Mario land and Tetris on Gameboy were my like original safe spaces when I was a kid. Super Mario Land is sooooo nostalgic

Can I be the geek that corrects RGT regarding that not being a fire flower with bad physics? It's the superball flower!
YES!!!! I knew the greatest Nintendo CZcamsr in history would deliver us a video on this, soon as I seen Nintendo release this last night😁
A really fun retro baseball game was on the SNES called Extra Innings, I think. Does anyone remember that game? It was legit so fun.
Super mario land and alleyway were my jam for early childhood. Glad to see these games get dropped
The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls was also released on the Japanese Switch Online titles. America got 3 games when Japan got 4.
We can’t play The Frog game on the American side but you still can through the Japan’s servers.
I had all three of these games as a kid. Great update and great video RGT. I remembered thinking when they brought out Mario land 2 that they had to port over 1. I recently picked up Mario Land 1 and played it on my gameboy player on snes. Still a banger.

RGT85: Can you make a playlist of your NSO reaction videos? These are my favorite videos of yours
Game boy baseball brings back a flood of memories playing that via link cable with cousins at family bbqs and vacations.
I always love to hear a good 'ole RGT story about back in the days
I got the Gameboy for Christmas the year it came out and my parents gave me Baseball as well. Love it so much and still have the original cartridge from 1989. I still play it along with my original Super Mario Land cartridge on my GameBoy Advance.
Had all 3 as a kid all 3 are great
I played all three of these games growing up, but Alleyway is probably the one I remember most fondly. Fun games, from a simpler time.
Super Mario Land is an absolute classic. And it's nice to see Golf and Tennis there too.
I owned all 3 of these way back in the early '90s. (I'm a baseball fan.) Good times... And then I got them all again on the 3DS VC decades later.
RGT, angry one day, high on acid in the thumbnail the next day
Those were the first three games I got for my Gameboy when I got it Christmas of 1989
All great games! I'm a big fan of Arkanoid so I played alot of Alleyway as a kid. I have all these on my 3DS XL too.

When i got my first gameboy from my cousin i had tetris and super mario land. I loved playing those games.
I would’ve been interested in this update if it came out before the Delta emulator released on the App Store

I love Mario Land. Great levels design and memorable music.
My GameBoy came with this game. When i saw it on Switch the other day i felt like a kid again playing it.
Loved Super Mario Land and Alleyway. Great classics.
I was playing my switch when they dropped those games last night... was actually surprised...

First game I bought for my gameboy in October 91. Awesome 👌

Alley and Mario land 1 are some of my favorite
your warthog friend.....he wasn't Craig Mack was he?! 😆
Loving the RGT lore session.
All the Mega Man Game Boy titles just dropped on Nintendo Switch Online right now. No joke.
It happened while I was playing Legend Of Zelda Oracle Of Ages last night
RGT is in a good mood today after the basketball last night.
Facts
The ump was blind! He was clearly safe.
Here in Japan we got 4 games the same 3 as featured here and one more i cant remember but name has something to do with frog or toad
The flower power is called Cannonball that’s why it bounces. Are there virtual instruction booklets?
That Mario game was my childhood. I loved 6 Golden Coins more, but this one was a lot of fun.
I haven't played Super Mario land since I had my original Game Boy and that's been over 20 years.
I just wish they added the Wario Land games.
based
They still might, eventually🤷♂️
I personally never really got into the Wario Land games. But it would be nice to have them to complete the Land collection.
Wario Land 3 is on there
Emulate them

That version of baseball kinda reminds me of how the NES version of the same game looked. Down to the UI elements and all. Not bad for a GB port.
Been waiting for Super Mario Land since day one of Gameboy games on NSO. Finally! 🍻🤘🏼
That’s pretty sad Literally had it on my android for years and never touched it. Lol. Also on my modded vita
Your loss, it’s a fun game. You should get on that. 🍻
Super Mario Land was my first gb game. Played the heck out of it.
Rgt: that's deep, that's deep........font pop out John!
Me yelling : that's what she said lol
AFAIK the Japanese GB update got The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls which is kinda the parent of Zelda Link’s Awakening.
I mean technically they do inform you in the news section in the switch main menu screen.. lol
Just yesterday i was using my nintendo switch after like 8months went to the gb area and i was like "How is super mario land not on this??" That game is like the staple gb game
I still have my original copy of Alleyway. It's such a great game
Rgt. Agreed love alleyway. The newest arkanoid on the switch is amazing also. Love your channel bro and your passion for the Knicks.
On point bro….. I tried playing it yesterday but it didn’t drop yet. Knicks won yesterday pacers facing elimination.
watching you play baseball was so entertaining!
RGT has a bit more Pep in his step this Vid. The Knicks must have won last night 🤣
Put loads of hours into mario land and alleyway, these sorts of games should of been there long ago

How we always end up getting the weird cousin of the game we wanted ... Nintendo is the master of troll
Super Mario Land gets hard after a few levels. Quick responding enemies after the next you have to memorize. and slippery controls at times.
You are absolutely right, I always felt this was a weird Mario game, I do believe I completed this game, it was my very first Gameboy game, I begged my mom to let me play before Christmas...Well I got lucky...

Apparently it’s not a fireball in the gameboy Mario game. It’s a bouncy ball.
I enjoy the music on Super Mario Land quite a bit.

Alleyway 99 incoming !!
Bro. Super Mario Sunshine is the best Mario game I’ve ever played and it was my first GameCube game! Sadly I lost it but beat it before it happened.
Doubt if id ever know about online game updates if it weren't for your channel.
The Nintendo CZcamsr being with his Nintendo videos
I found out about these from my Nintendo channel youtube notifications. Screw Twitter.
Gameboy was definitely amazing! Glad to see Nintendo keeps adding more games to the NSO.
Hit it in a certain position. From one G to another lmfao.
