    well the 2.25 look great but like yourself I'm not satisfied with the installation from a local shop, some serious lack of attention to detail.. but overall super pleased with the look.

    I installed my 1.5" perch kit and greased the top so the blue collar pops over it like in the video and silicone greased it then even did a bit of hard terrain off roading BUT THE BLUE COLLAR WILL NOT FULLY SIT ONTO THE PERCH KIT only about half way??.. Seems sketchy. I got the CJ pony parts 1.5" one for $200 and installed this exact same way.

    Thanks for video. Why was is necessary to remove lower shock bolt if you weren't going to remove the assembly? with the sway bar disconnected wouldn't the achieve full droop? I did mid perch mod years ago on my gen 1 raptor without removing shock or lower shock bolt. Trying to see if I can do the same on my gen 2. Thanks

      @CTECH-REVIEW  Před 7 lety

      By leaving the shock still connected you cant get full droop. When you pull it out of LCA it drops another 3/4 - 1 inch or so.

    Great video! Couple questions:
    1. Do you have any before/after pics to give a better idea of what the 1.5" level looks like? Also, why did you opt for the 1.5" vs the other configurations RPG allows?
    2. Are your wheels plasti-dipped or painted/powdercoated? They look good and I've been thinking about doing something similar.
    Thanks!

      I do have some side pictures I will post in the new video launching this week of before and after. I went 1.5 inch as I have heard the ride quality dimensions drastically when going to the 3.0 inch option. Wheels are plasti dipped for the short term to see how it looks. I am doing a plasti dip video this week showing how to do the stock wheels. Thanks for watching!! Please subscribe!!

    *hows the truck holding up? I’m planning to buy a 2019 amd keep hearing bad stuff about transmission to oil pans to camphaser to engine breakdown and truck on fire etc. As an owner what’s your review? Is it reliable? Did you face any of those issues? How many miles has it been and would you recommend the truck?*

    Would you do a quick review on your rokblokz. Or maybe just a quick reply on how hard the installation was and where the hole is drilled. I'm ready to pull the trigger to protect my black 2017 raptor and I just need a nudge of confidence. I live in michigan as well. Maybe I could drive to you to get a hand. I'm not much of a wrencher. I'm just nervous to mess with such a pretty truck by I do want to protect it.

      James Elias as soon as I get truck back from the dealer I will do an overview of the installation. I will try and do this late this week or the following.

    3 more screws and the whole assembly would have been out. Why take 99% of it apart and then do it on the truck?

    • @CTECH-REVIEW
      @CTECH-REVIEW  Před 7 lety

      That is an option also. Getting a wrench on top of the gen 2 is a lot harder to get to then the gen 1. Removing shocks on a gen 1 is pretty easy. Gen 2 is hard to get perch bolts out...so we kept it on.

    Thanks for the video. Does the truck drive any different now?

    • @CTECH-REVIEW
      @CTECH-REVIEW  Před 7 lety +1

      Yes it honestly drives better. Less body roll, less nose dive under braking.

      I've been wondering this as well. Every truck I've ever put a level kit on has turned it into a pogo stick.

    • @CTECH-REVIEW
      @CTECH-REVIEW  Před 7 lety +1

      Thump4863, agreed...I have installed lots of leveling kits and most ride terrible...the difference is on the ford Raptor there is more suspension travel then the standard pickup so by raising 1.5 inches the truck is still in that neutral suspension zone...ride is not worse then stock, and doesnt seem to ride worse. I actually prefer the ride now.

      Awesome, if you give RPG a try I recommend going to one of two people to order from Chris at Freedom motorsports raptor store (ask for Chris, tell him Barry sent you from RPG video), or Aftermarket HQ (ask for Walter and tell him I sent you from the RPG video). Good luck and if you need any help let me know.

      I’ll plastic dip my wheels also but I would recommend going over them with a regular paint clear it was still pill off if you need to but it protects it more when you go to a car wash when I first did my wheels I ran through a car wash and it messed up two wheels I went over mine with a hair gloss clear paint
