Awesome job, Aliens is my no.1 movie of all time and your mod was an excellent recreation of the weapon. The additions just made it even cooler.

Shogun, that's a fantastic Alien 4 concept Rifle conversion, you've made the most naff replica Pulse rifle that I've ever seen look like the perfect replica.
This mod looks extremely effective! Amazing how something looking so toy like at first can then look like a genuine movie prop with some work and dedication.
I would love to turn my pulse rifle into that but chances are it won’t fly at HvZ..

Bro this is fantastic! For sure the best one I have seen so far, It's hard to want to add things to an iconic gun but everything you added was super tasteful and blended perfectly. I'm getting close to jumping down a rabbit whole for mine as well, even as far as to make my own foam M-40 grenades to shoot out, If I get it working Ill be sure to send some your way, awesome build man!

A perfect ispiration for my soon Pulse Rifle when i got them..hopefully🤗...🤔! Now finally, it have been arrive. I was very suprised at how big this thing is.
Now i will remove some parts of my pulse rifle and try to designe that according to your principle like yours, but whitout the lazer and the additional equipment.
A little tip from me..in the inner opening, where the speaker is located, glue it to minimize the deafening noise or possible seal the speaker slightly.

awesome effect and a great guid too, tempted to paint mine up now too. A great way to weather the chipping effect is a spong and Tamiya silver paint, dap very lightly to give a chipping effect too.
Excellent work on the mod. It definitely looks more like a screen used version now. All the extra added stuff reminds me of the mods you can add to the rifle in Aliens Colonial Marines (yes, we all know the game was a disaster but being able to mod your pulse rifle was cool).

Looks really great. Cool idea of using the semi-gloss clear coat for more of a metallic look.
A note, somewhat nitpicky, but the left side of the gun should typically have some more scratches on it than the right side. This is because (at least applying real life military practices) on patrols the rifle will typically be resting against a infantrymans (or Colonial Marines) gear causing scratches from metal buckles, buttons or just general abrasions. Including slings, because most shooters are right handed so the sling will mount to the left side.
It's the finish the was used on the black gun body parts and shrouds, produced by Bapty & Simon Atherton, for Aliens. This sheen detail can be seen in just about every propstore auction for screen matched/used PRs. Neither the gun body or shrouds were coated in flat, or full gloss. They were both Satin. I was going for as close to movie accurate while still being as Neill Blomkamp-y as possible.

That is some sweet work there, loving al the modding people are doing with these rifles. If people want to duplicate, there are cheap PEQ boxes which are non working cases, that are cheap on Amazon.

Damn you Scott we could have had the ALIEN 3/5 that should have been , Having said that, I still like David fincher's directors cut, But Blomkamp's rendition would have made history and put the franchise back on track. Anyway I'm digressing on this amazing piece of memorabilia and talent, got yourself a new sub from down under, keep up the great content as I love that you use rattle cans and imagination to create an amazing hero prop from such an iconic movie :)

We have extremely strict gun laws in Australia so I doubt this product will ever be for sale here - especially given how people have been modding it to look like the movie replicas. Shame really as I would have loved to make a cosplay of a Colonial Marine.

Update: got my Nerf Pulse rifle just today! Will buy all the paints and markers next :) Had to come and see this video again, maybe I´ll make my own video of the modding too.
That looks amazing man. I have been scratch building from scrap NERF parts and glue and metal plumber's tape and random stuff for years. I have the main body done, but the shroud is tough to make from scratch. Any suggestions for NERF screws? They always seem to break on the heads or strip. Have a good holiday if that is your thing.

I think I would have painted the battery compartment just for consistency. Also, no distressed spots on the magazine? Seems like there should be some silver showing from it no doubt having been slid into the gun and removed many times over the years.
No, you allow the magazine to wear naturally from coming in and out of the mag well, and then you color the worn parts with a silver sharpie.
