And the old magic is still there. “We’re just window dressing for the cars…” they reckon.

They were the original bromance. That was the #1 thing that made them so damn sexy. On top of their good looks, oh yeah, to be a teenager again and having them be in their early 30's again. Good times!!

I'm glad that at 9:25 David talked about the opening scene of the show in which he jumps on to the hood of a car and lands on his bottom. I was a kid then and still remember thinking "Wow! That's has to hurt!". Turns out it did and it's cool that David admitted it.
I met Antonio Fargas several years ago. Such a nice man. I still hoping to meet David and Paul though.
After all these years I still love Starkey and Hutch And I still see them on T V weekends and I was a big fan and I hope all is well with you guys and you are in my heart of hearts stay well and I Love Love seeing you on CZcams and to think I missed all your interviews etc. I get to see you as you are in person. Stay well..

Best part of the movie was these guys showing up, they were the best, I met Paul and Antonio at a car show few years back, David couldn't make it for scheduling reasons, Paul was great, and the whole crowd was yelling out Huggy!!!

Lots of technical issues with the Birmingham gathering. Nice to see them laughing and sharing good times, although a lot of their interviews are the same. It would be nice to have some different questions.

It's nearly criminal they did not do a serious adaptation reuniting these men when they had the opportunity. That's insane.
Glaser wanted to be out after the FIRST series, and only stayed because he could not get out of the contract. After four series he manged. It wasn't all moonlight and roses. It was hard to get the 92 episodes they did, so they weren't going to do more if they could help it.
@Treasure Hunter UK No that is not the only reason the show ended. Part of it was because of the producer Joseph Naar's agent was negotiating a monetary salary contract for Joe & he was not coming back, so both Paul & David said that they would not return if Joseph did not return. This was mentioned by Joseph Naar himself on a Surcon. So please don't say things when you don't have all the facts. Thank you.

It took them a while to get talking. When Julie, from Plymouth, asked for a birthday kiss, they could have at least invited her up for a hug from all 3 of them. David Soul having moved to England many years ago and switching his citizenship to England I would have thought he would have gladly given her a hug?
If you look at the videos of Glaser on the breakfast TV programmes, he is always making advances to the blonde presenters. He was trying to sit closer to Kate Garraway, Holly Willoughby etc., and cuddle and touch them, so he is not opposed to smooching with women. I feel this woman was not attractive enough for his tastes. She is brown haired and approaching fifty, and not slim or classically beautiful. I wonder if she had been a blonde in her 20s who was beautiful he may have been more willing.
The film David Soul mentioned called Magnum Force was a film starring Clint Eastwood.
My buddy and I loved S&H when we were kids/teenagers in the 70s. The question I've wanted to ask them for 38 years, particularly PMG - 'Do you now at all regret that you didn't stick around longer, and instead called it a day after four seasons?' PMG, from what I've read through the years, wanted out after Season Two, but decided to stick it out through the four year contract, and then bailed. There was a lot of talk/rumors as Season Four progressed, of them replacing Starsky and continuing on - including having Starsky's younger brother (introduced in Season Four) replace Starsky, as well as a new female partner for Hutch, and even Hutch going on alone. None of the above panned out, and sadly the show was done after four years.
If Glaser had his way he would have left after the first series, so he has no reason to be glee eyed and sentimental. He only stayed cos he could not get out.
No, that is definitely not the only reason that the show ended or Paul or David wanted out of the series. A lot had to do with the writing, some of the directors & the very fact that Joseph Naar, the producer of the shows agent was negotiating for a better contract for Joe & the offer was to good to not refuse. Both Paul & David said that if he left, they would not be back either. This was told by Joseph Naar himself on a Surcon. So people really need to get their facts straight before they spread rumors. We all know how the media & tabloids lie. In fact, they are still the best of friends to this day. This was ever so evident in the Surcon where they were really themselves. You can never duplicate the chemistry, love & friendship that still exists between these two wonderful, handsome, awesome, & amazing men!!!♥️♥️
Dave and I were friends in High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I think his hip needs to be replaced.

Oh, David, know it's been a long time but what happened to your svelte physique? You were skinny in the S & H days. You certainly filled out. What happens to us if we don't watch ourselves. Still love these guys, they are still with us god love 'em & they are still close which is wonderful. Paul looked after himself much better & it shows. Anyway, still watch this shows 42 years later on DVD. I wonder what their favourite episode was. Did anyone ask?
well I dont know but the car and the sweater came to Montreal Canada comic con 2015, but they did not come with the package that time I would have just died I love love love David , I loved that show growing up as a teen .

Interviewer is really good, knows her Starsky & Hutch stuff and keeps getting everyone involved, never gets flustered, this was fun!
I would like to see them in another movie again. The new Starsky & Hutch with the other guys was not good as no one can replace the chemistry between Paul & David! Don't try to fix what is not broken!!! Maybe a sequel to their retirement of Starsky & Hutch & the Bày City Police Department showing all the scene s from the original series at their retirement dinner.

They charge £30 for photos and £60 to be photoed with the car. Does all this cash go to charity?
I bet it doesn't, though as a charity fundraiser I love the idea. They (the leads) sold the rights to the international broadcasts right after they left the show, and I'll bet whatever they got for the domestic reruns wasn't that great. They've each had work over the years but nothing huge, and Soul was flat broke at one point, so I bet they do these shows for the income, especially since they do quite a few of them.
