I would seriously need to know some strategies how to end loop cuts without getting a lot on n-gons. For example, right now I have a model with an "indent" to fit another piece and to straighten the edges I add some loop cuts. And that works, but then I have a model filled with lines and it adds complexity to keep modeling. I want to be able to get those square edges but only with cuts where I need them.
So basically a tutorial on how to keep a tidy model and still have nice, clean edges would be fantastic. Not to many of them out there. :) I hope you understand what I mean, otherwise please tell me to elaborate. :)
      Keep up the good work!

Yeah, i get ur point, if u don't mind, send me the model so i can figure out a way to make it look cleaner and definitely drop a tutorial on it once i have enough time. thank u for the feedback man !!

I´m afraid I solved my latest headache last night, but I´ll think about some scenarios where I tend to get in trouble and get back to you with a model with problem areas. :) For me, this is the one thing that irritates the most when modeling: that I´m getting cluttered meshes when I start to add details. Thank you for your time!

    • @TheAnpu

i can't agree anymore, getting a nice flow of topology and a pinch-free geometry is not an easy task to do, it needs a lot of time to master it, even if you know every motherfucking tool inside your software you'll get problems with it, but it get easier and easier over time. maybe in the next tutorial Imma talk about topology and some practical stuff like that, but i dunno when exactly, cuz i don't have enough time to do it right now but definitely will do one in the near future. Cheers man!!

Hi from france. Un grand merci à toi. Depuis que j'ai commencé à me former à C4D sur internet ce tuto est le plus utile parmi tout ceux que j'ai pu voir. Plus de 10 heures de formation sur un site payant et rien sur les techniques de modélisation avancées. Tu m'as sauvé la vie.

Just watched halfway and already got some amazingly great information. You do some stuff with those tools I did not know was possible. Adding those curves in the first model or waiting for 2 secs with the snapping tool in order to enable a certain snapping point. Never heard of those tricks before. Awesome!!! Thank you!!!

Dude this is crazy haha! I have been trying to model something VERY similar to the first example the last few days and while I managed to model it fine, my UV's were a nightmare to unwrap. I was using beveled points to create the rounded edges instead of the arc tool which was giving me a shit load of shitty n-gons but your way looks so much cleaner! Thanks man :)

Thanks for your share Salah, i've learn so much new things by watching this video. I mean, a lot of tips / shortcut / etc. to improve my workflow. It's a shame i didn't discover your channel earlier :D . If you read this comment, do you think you will keep post new things or you don't have the time anymore ? I will definitely love to see more advanced tips.
Usually, you can find a lot of video to do complexe shape but most of the time it's not the right way (using only boolean for example, it's messed up the geometry so badly) or already seen.
I'm working in architecture agency and i have to be really precise and quick in my work. So it's a gift for me to discover video like this one. I apologize for my english, this is not my native language and i'm not 100% sure you speak french ? (It would appear so).

Great Tuts Man! Thank you so much! I have a question that can not realy solve: ¿Is it possible to make high quality cars with C4D for Unreal Engine or Unity, doesent matter? The question is aimed to the reason that C4D has no Smoothing Groups (has Phong tags), that are not recognized in some baking programs, like Substance, to bake normal maps effciently. I don't like at all 3DS Max, and have the possibility to deliver some models but I'm with alot of doubts concerning the posibilities of C4D workflow in a real game pipeline. The main problem concerning high and low res meshes for the baking process. Thank you so much for your answer!
