Letâs be real here: everyone kicked with their foot accidentally at some point and has been paying extra attention to not do it ever since.
absolutely. very painful the next several days, after i saw what happened to silva to be honest i didnt low kick on the heavy bag for about a week.
Still happens on occasion if someone is retreating and I don't see it in time.
My ankle is still hurt
Idk why but me personally sometimes when i
accidentally kick with my foot it dont hurt me so much, only when i land with my footfingers
@@hoangpetr5841 âFootfingersâ is officially my new favourite word.
Guilty of being Lazy after kicks some times :D
As I am I my man đ
â@@seanfagan Funny thing is I just recently realized it
And got swept because of that đđđ
Same haha time to go work on it
@@sari5657 yep lol
First time learning kicks, and to be honest watching your videos has improved my kicks
Thatâs awesome to hear thanks for the love!
"Don't kick with your foot" *proceeds to kick with his foot to show how mangled it can get* this man is a martyr
I do my best đ
Love these shorts!!! Helping my technique every day! Been training Muay Thai for 7 months now and Iâm getting better everyday⊠thru training, and also your videos haha.
Appreciate it man, keep it up!
That pause strike is perfection.
I kick with my foot sometimes. But sometimes I do it on purpose. Blame Tae Kwon Do. Enjoyed your Buakaw workout btw!
Awesome thanks for the feedback!
Sane
I love seeing people trying to kick shit itâs like some of the correct components still show through from years of repetition
Awesome tips, thank you
You thinking of starting muay thai for a vid ?
Cos I personally would find that pretty entertaining to get ur perspective as I picked it up half a year ago as well.
My biggest mistake is staying flat footed when kicking
Guilty of all at some point, so shame on me. But Iâve tightened up on several techniques thanks to your vids.
That last proper kick slo mo with the sound of thunder gave me chills lol
Glad to hear your technique has been improving! Thanks for the love đ
I appreciate you stressing the small details. I have found that proper technique often delivers the most efficient and powerful strikes. These detailed shorts are very helpful for reminding me to be conscious of my form and the details that go into what I'm trying to accomplish. I appreciate you passing on your knowledge in the true spirit of martial arts. Good on you sir! You are appreciated!
These demo videos are awesome. Showing the does and don'ts
Glad you like them!
Guilty of not following through sometimes, when the kick is leading in for a combo đ€Šââïž
Should always be putting 100% into it.
Yea it happens
I literally broke all of these last week! I just started two weeks ago, and I damn near busted my left foot on a switch kick last week. However, I've been practicing technique all week, and training is in 1 hour so hopefully I've improved. Thanks for your videos Sean, they help a ton.
A lot of champions use the first way of kicking. Liam Harrison is one of them
Haha I was doing the same exact thing the other day! This was needed lol
Haha glad you liked it!
I was guilty of almost all of these at some point , the toe one is something you won't forget though... still healing from that mistake lmao.
I donât step back after the kick. I need to do that to receive better distance.
Going through with my kicks I sometimes quickly retract my shit when Iâm tired but just gotta push through
Thank you for all these tips videos they are really helping. Problem is so many instructors and trainers out here TEACHING all these mistakes! I had a coach who told me to push my entire upper body back everytime I would teepâŠthey would even stumble backwards while demonstrating! Smh Needless to say they werenât my coach for very long lol
Errores de patadas circulares en el saco
1) No te detengas
2) No mantengas tu hombro atrĂĄs
3) No aflojes luego de lanzar la patada
4) No patees con el pie
5) Patea a través del saco
6) Gira tu hombro
7) Retrae con control
Thank you that really helpedđ„đ„
Happy to help!
That kicking by foot is really really painful. đđđ
Props to you Sean you sacrificed your foot just to show us to not kick with it your a legend đ«”đœđ
I kicked with my foot and now recovering from swollen foot đ
Thank you Sergio Ramos!
Idk how I've never heard anyone say to turn over the shoulders! It seems like common sense now but that's probably why I get hip pain with round kicks.
The shoulder is a joint,
It's the torso that has it, and moves it.
More things I need to work on.
ur shorts are good ty
THANKS BROTHER!!!
My biggest problem is kicking with my foot. I did TKD for many years and we must kick with our foot to score points. Itâs hard to stop that after so many years lol
Hard to break those types of habits!
I believe i have had depending on the day i had at work a bit of all of them but always try to fix it in the moment
I'm currently learning how to roundhouse kick Muay thai style. Done Kickboxing for over a decade. Most would assume its exactly the same. But, it isn't. After much research, some of which I picked up tips from yourself. I spent hours in front of the bag yesterday and corrected my mistakes. I thought it was just one. But, there were a few. Namely. Staying relaxed, rotation of the hip more. And the main one swinging that arm to propell the kicking power. Once they all come together I was like AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH light bulb moment. Now, I know. I'm eager to drill it into a habit.
Pretty much all of them at one time or another. Great reminderđđđ
This really helped me with my roundhouse, I need a punching bag tho, I use the frames in the walls to practice at Home.
Damn, youâre on a roll. Exactly what I was looking for once again. Iâm having trouble getting a consistent, clean kick like this because of how difficult/weird attempting it slowly is.
Definitely takes some practice and getting used to. Just keep putting in that intentional work and you'll eventually get the hang of it!
Right leg, none of these. Left leg, all of these. đ
I saw the lazy on the retract and keeping the shoulder back part and I suddenly flashed on a montage of me throwing "kicks"
Haha sorry if it hit a soft spot
@@seanfagan I want to think of it as this video helping me make a better mental highlight reel hahaha!
Great kicks
Donât forget to keep your hand posted !!!!!!
Honestly everything except for being lazy I just dont turn my body when i kick or i go back sometimes. Hopefully I can fix my kicks as soon as possible
Love these tips thanks
Thanks!!!!
Those foot kicks hurt alot
When I first started I had the unhealthy habit of kicking with my foot until my foot was literally purple had to learn the hard way
Throwing snapping kicks is mine
Not retracting with controlâŠ.. need to work on that
I'm lazy after kicks, gotta fix that myself
Thanks, you are a great teacher. Grandma will start baking cookies the way I like again
Appreciate this video, need to turn my shoulder and kick through the bang or opponent!
Glad you found it useful!
I lean almost parallel to the ground so the kick hit the head!
Happy new year champ! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! You too!
lmao dude caught me red handed XD i'm the lazy guy after landing a kick
Thank you
100% good video
Thanks so much!
Laziness after the kick
I admit it always felt like you generate more power when you don't have your dukes up
Thanx for this video brother I know what Iâm doing wrong! Blessings from Texas.
You got it man thanks for the love!
I definitely tend to kick with my foot.
My mistake is getting tired after the 10th kick lol
i've been trying to get into muay thai but i started with karate as a base, so my kicks are alright but i still have a bad habit of aiming to kick with my foot rather than my shinđđ
kicking with my foot made my ankle go sore lol
I think my mistake is not turning over my hips more
I'm having trouble standing and balancing on the ball of my foot and not twisting my ankle. That and my coach keeps telling me to use more hip, I don't know what he means.
It just takes some time to get it right!
I have learned karate before and now I'm learning muay thai so I'm used to that snap in every kick and I often tries to pivot on my whole foot rather than my toes...
When I get tired ? Everything
Everything you said Iâm guilty of especially when Iâm tired
Yea it's tough to keep clean technique when you;re tired
Yes definitely donât kick with your foot like that⊠ow, looks like a twisted ankle waiting to happen. If you want to kick with your foot, get trained on how to properly protect your foot and the specifics of where your foot makes contact. Otherwise you will injure yourself very very painfully. Quick PSA
Hey man I think showing so many of what not to do at the beginning is to your detriment. No one wants to see the wrong technique over and over else you mistakenly emulate it better maybe once or twice with a pause but show the correct one sooner, maybe even first
Just want u to grow as much as possible Sean, all lovr
Been there, done that. You can't always be perfect. Sometimes being sloppy or lazy or unmotivated is still better than doing nothing and drinking beer. But it may hurt sooner or later if you are too lazy during training. A great trainer will motivate pupils to be disciplined.
I used to keep my shoulder back alot
I have trouble with the pivotting on the foot and i know i have to use the ball of my foot but i have trouble pivoting
Thanks
You got it!
As a Taekwondo Veteran, im guilty of kicking with my feetđ«
Kicking with your foot ain't always bad I do it to condition it
Lazy on recoil, especially after a bit of hard cardio
I don't kick with power like thand because I don't feel like picking my 200lb bob up after every kick lmao
Thank you you saved my foot
i have dreadful balance so not turning the shoulder and returning with control are mine
Kicking with Foot and shoulders back on round kick đźâđš progression is up to us nak muays if we dont work on correction we will remain in error and possibly injure ourselves no excuse just get to work next bag drill *IM TURNIN SHOULDERS*
I have size 13 shoe though so when I land with my foot "its like getting smacked with a steel paddle" or so I was told.
so curse and blessing
Side note.bad news I def busted up my instep and big toe and big toe "knuckle" on both feet
Good news _foot conditioning_
What round lol keep my shoulder back and or being lazy after great video about go fix this right now!!!
I want to get the kicks down cause I'm not usually good at so I'm going to subscribe you
Thanks a lot.

..breaking my leg.
Guilty of kicking with my foot đą
I'm curious with kicking in what way are hitting with your shin is directly to it or at slight angle as it's structured.
Is it ok to keep my back heel up throughout the whole kick from start until it is thrown?
I don't back up is my guilty.
Iâm finding it really difficult to turn my hips in to it, especially my switch kick it might be because of my boxing background and Iâm fairly new to Muay Thai and tips or tricks would be appreciated thanks!
It will just take some time and practice. Stay intentional in your reps and keep showing up to work!
Can you post a video of you shadowboxing ? In all the fight you have in the ring have you ever rely on head movement or not due to head kick and knee
Here ya go >> czcams.com/video/FWb4Un0h3r8/video.html
Everything above sadly before I started Muay Thai I would practice taekwondo so Iâm used to kicking with my foot
U should try my boxing bag , a solid tree in the ground
Yeah I just started muay thai and I kicked with my foot and my foot has been in pain for 5 days now so big no no with the foot
What if you miss the target how shall I retract my kick?
Im guilty of all 3 đđ
How can I train my balancing while kicking? Left is my normal kicking leg but I put it infront for right leg always feel no much strength
Kicking through the bag and not landing to a proper stance
Guilty of not keeping balance after the kick!
Laziness and shoulder turn are my mistakes I think.
Happens to the best of us!
