Two of the most popular and well recorded jug bands in the 1920s were Cannon’s Jug Stompers and The Memphis Jug Band. In this lesson I have arranged some of their songs for fingerstyle guitar. They’re fun songs to play and sing. You’ll probably recognize some
of the titles and melodies from the recordings of the Rooftop Singers, the Grateful Dead and the Lovin’ Spoonful.
Titles include: Stealin’ Stealin’, Going To Germany, K.C. Moan, Mississippi River Waltz, Walk Right In and Shine On Harvest Moon

Thank you so much Mr Grossman for 50 yrs of taste and pleasure; I discovered your sound the day I bought a second hand copy of your "Yazoo Basin Boogie" LP, back in '71, and ever since that day, you've been a constant source of joy and inspiration.
Maximum praise for your career...
You have said that you can't sing and that is why you play the melody on the guitar. Your voice is not great but it is not offensive. Please keep on singing the lyrics, it really helps in learning the song.
You truly are the best teacher on dvd and the internet.
The best of best!
The best teacher and the most genuine person. Thank you!
Stefan, you haven't lost your touch at all. You are the best at what you do--no equal...love, Jack
Maestro, I so much enjoyed seeing and hearing your masterfully done rendition of this song. One of my favorite good old songs. Thank you from my heart. Blessings always..,most sincerely Steve Tessier...
Excellent. I love how it's controlled, just moving forward, calm and unstoppable.
Great sound and just wonderful fun.
Thank you ... very well presented ... thoroughly enjoyed your playing and singing!
nice..that one of a kind touch
Very nice indeed Sir..... a pleasure for us all and I certainly respect your ability and conviction. :-)
nice.... very nice roll. Thank you !
He reminds me of Van Ronk with the hideous '80s shirt and glasses combo. The fact he's playing this cleanly with metal fingerpicks is insane.
What a bittersweet frustration to see SG's spatula shaped left hand fingers floating on the fingerboard; for sure, Robert Johnson had the same ones... How could we just hope to approach his delicate playing?
Brilliant
This is awesome :) I'll practice with it :)
So classy
Maestro
Never goes to the 5 chord!
What kind of strings do you use?
