I've owned my Lige 6801 "Smurf" for over 3 months now. It's rapidly become my daily wearer. Uncanny accuracy at +1s/day. Pure fluke, no doubt. It looks 'a million dollars' on wrist and many people have mistaken it for a Rolex (I have of course corrected them!). The only QC issue with mine was the Bezel Insert either lines up at 12 or 3, 6 & 9 - but not all. I paid £21 GBP for it and therefore cannot complain at the price. I like it so much that I bought the Black version last night for £24 GBP

Lige has less consistency with their claims. Pagani has more credibility. In what I've experienced, and what I've seen online. And, the ads for Lige even give conflicting hardware specifications within the same ad. I feel a lot better about the Pagani for an extra couple of dollars or pounds.
I have both of these watches coming. The #6801 is a Smurf while the PD-1639 is a Bluesy. I can't wait to look at them together myself.

the important thing is that the case is not in brass, since I bought a benyar where they claimed it was in steel but in reality it was in plated brass
Well, I can tell you that my PD-1639 is great (even if I was forced to take a Miyota 8215 movement because they were out of NH35As) but the date in my 6801 stopped advancing after less than two days. I can spin the hands around the dial into infinity, the date will not advance. My Pagani 1639 is a masterpiece while my Lige 6801 is junk with a high-beat movement. I'd rather have a reliable 21,600bph movement than an unreliable 28,800bph movement seven days a week and twice on Sunday. Sure, it still tells the time and the beat is smoother but what's the point of having a date window if the date doesn't automatically advance?
I realise that this is definitely a case of YMMV but a watch should never have a major complication just fail in less than two days. My Grand Diver #3049 is nine years old and that Seiko NH35A has never had any issues. The crown is also silky smooth while the crown on the Lige 6801 is really rough and feels like there's sand inside. When it comes to quality, the Lige 6801 makes my Grand Diver look like a Planet Ocean. Even the Pagani with its Miyota 8215 has a crown that feels 100x better than the Lige 6801. Maybe I got a bad one but I'm really disappointed that I couldn't really compare the two because my Pagani is on a totally different level than my Lige.
I feel bad for you, right now, after two years, I don't have problems with my Lige, but I would like to buy a PD (with a really good discount, otherway I prefer to pay more fifty euro, buying something like an Invicta) in order to test it!
I can't believe you are still claiming they have NH35's in their watches. People like myself have pointed this out giving reasons & evidence. yet you dismiss this and back Lige. It even says in their adverts that the movement is 28,800 beats while a NH35 is 21,600. It clearly shows a picture of a Chinese movement. You have watches with NH35's in them. So why don't you just compare the movements. You will clearly see they are totally different. Even Perth watch (that you quote) confirms this. Just look with your own eyes. Right now you just sound like a LIGE salesman. Your credibility has been lost.
Hi Michael I thought I said nominal which means stated by manufacturer but not necessarily true. Ultimately I'm not qualified to determine the exact movement and as I have mentioned ALL cheap auto movements are crappy accuracy and poor power reserve so personally I don't agree that the difference of nh35 vs pearl or whatever is that important. The movement is the last thing I buy these for as they are all poor at this price point. Also, even if it is a Pearl or Chinese clone, I would still buy the Lige IF it was a straight 'smurf' homage comparison, because it has a true blue dial (not purple like PD) and it's 40mm NOT 43mm. And as a last point, some have tested the Lige and they had hardlex (not sapphire) but others like Pearth tested sapphire. How do you know for a fact it doesnt have an NH35 or clone? It's possible different manufacturing batches have different movements, but as I said I don't personally care too much but I will point it out better next time.
Every NH35 I have had it clearly stated on the movement ... the self winding weight...should be easy to determine. Most tested ones that I saw reviewed perform well above their specs ... which is great that the company is honest. The issue here is honestly with this company...Japanese movements, particularly the Seiko NH35 is well respected vs a generic Chinese movement.
I bought the blue Lige for 30€ a month ago. I really like it.

Think if you dig enough you'll find that Lige are fairly fraudulent in their specs and well known for it. Not sapphire but hardlex glass , the movement is not Seiko and the casing I doubt proper stainless steel. Pagani on the other hand are what the specs state and a much better quality watch. Now against this comparison and in defence of the Lige which is only about £20 on Ali compared to the Pagani which is about £45 it makes it a nice cheap , don't worry about it daily wearer. Virtually all of us can't afford the real thing but if we want the style we go for a look a like hence these and others of the ilk. Of the two I'd go for the dearer Pagani for the added quality and genuine parts , if you are not bothered go for the cheap Lige and take the chance.
the sun burst of design LIGE is bent til it look like curvy line. compare to Pagani design, that is the true sun burst finish.
How would you rate the Olevs equivalent?
I have 2 Olevs, 2 Lige's and now 2 Pagani's. I really like all of them. The Olevs were the first ones that i started with. Lige is maybe a bit beefier than Olevs. Pagani is more beefy than all of them (at least the ones i have) I have the Batman and Sprite in Pagani, Coke and a sort of Pepsi in Lige and just 2 nice Olevs (green one is a "Daytona". Ill take the Olevs for pure aesthetics. The Lige's i consider more of a working day to day watch. My Pagani's are office wearing type watches and the Olevs are night on the town types.
Can you please give me information on the duration of the watch's power reserve? if worn all day it keeps charging all night and in the morning it is still in operation

What happens if you drop both watches in a glass of water for 20 mins?
I don't know and I wouldn't recommend doing that. If the watch is ISO dive rated I think they submerge it for at least 2 hours to pass. Obviously these are not. My guess is they would be OK but you'd have to ask manufacturer or try it out yourself.
have you checked that the case is really stainless steel since I noticed that for watches of this price often the truth of things is not declared?
what material do you thin it could otherwise be? I cant check for 304 vs 316G grade easily.
Not trying to be rude but how can you not know that the lige is not a nh35 movement. Anybody who’s been into automatic watches even for a couple of months should be able to tell at a glance. Come on now this is very basics. It is not a draw the Pagani design definitely has a seiko movement. The lige has some no name that has a high beat. The absolute clear winner via mail for movement is the Pagani design. The seiko is a work horse. It has a good reputation and has been tested and tried end it has been around a while now. I most have 10 watches with this movement and all of them keep time much better than their stated accuracy . As a matter fact all are within 10 seconds plus or minus Per day. And a big item like movements you need to get your facts straight thank you
I couldn't care less about cheap automatic movements, they're all highly inaccurate and crap. So I don't agree it's important at the super cheap price point until costs and technology allows much better accuracy and power reserve. The case is very similar in the automatic version, just a bit thicker but it's still not similar to the rolex style super case. The 10 seconds per day will never last on nh35 after a few weeks or months... So be losing minutes per day. Your full of crap

I've literally just ordered a Lige 6801 at £20 GBP. At that price I'm kinda expecting it to be cr@p but it'll be a good experiment. I believe it's a DG4813 clone movement. I've never owned one before, we'll see how it lasts. I'm a huge Steeldive SD1953 fan, so I'm keen to compare the two. I'm expecting the Lige to be fairly substandard but will be happy to be proved wrong....
