I have the Royal Air Force version of this watch. It comes with a grey band with the Royal Air Force motto Per Ardua Ad Astra printed on the bottom of the strap. It also has a metal strap hold with Royal Air Force printed on it along with the roundel. It also has the same plastic clasp as mentioned in the video. The battery has lasted almost 4 years. I am extremely satisfied with the watch.

Purchased mine today and can't wait to get it. I love dive watches and own many. What I like is the weight and heft of each of them. Most are between 160-175 grams, so 200 grams will be excellent. I also like the fact that the bracelet doesn't taper adding to the weight. The clasp will be the only part I will change. The best part about this watch is I only paid $68, what a deal. Nice review

Great review! Addiesdive missed on this one. A 1000m diver replete with an extensionless clasp that is only noteworthy in that it's cheapness and lack of tool functionality starkly contradicts the stated purpose of the watch. An ambitious undertaking, yes...but ultimately a fail. Albeit one that can be easily overcome with future versions at a slightly higher price-point.

Just for your information, this SD1953 is a 'starbucks' and not a 'kermit'. The kermit is unmistakeable by its lime green aluminium bezel. To add to the confusion there was an intermediate model which was called a 'cermit' which as the name suggests had a ceramic bezel but this ceramic bezel too was more of a lime green colour. The darker green bezel which was a 41mm model more like the SD1953 as with the darker bezel colour is most definitely nicknamed the 'starbucks'.!! I hope my explanation clears up any confusion you may have. These models are quite commonly mis named...!!

It's nice to own my mechanical Omega Speedmaster. I keep it in the closed, and I wear my PD1701 daily...hehe. Cuz it has never let me down until now, spot on accurate, I do not need to wind it, it doesn't need a yearly expensive maintenance, and I'm not that scared to damage it. Another daily wearer is my Seitona. Same story. Oh, and about this one: nice watch, but I just don't like the pushers. Nope.

this is available in 40mm. honestly i have a 8" wrist and been thinking of buying this one because i just like the comfort of smaller watches. and i already wear a 36mm daily and i don't think it looks that small on me personally. with this particular watch however i am a bit worried that not enough links will come with the watch for my fat wrists to fit. would never buy anything bigger than 40mm they are just uncomfortable to me. and i just don't like the look of big bulky watches.

No date is the killer for me. All watches should have a date function.

I have a Steinhart version of the Explorer II and love it. Between these two though I'd go with PD. I have larger wrists and it looks cleaner on the dial to me. Both have qualities I don't care for. The thickness and cyclopes on the PD I don't care for and on the AD its size, snowflake hands. Likes would be PD for the crystal, markers, crown guard, and movement over the AD. AD has much better lume and PD has not done that well on any I own.

I get what you’re saying. Wearing a watch above wrist isn’t wrong though. I do it so it doesn’t restrict my wrist movements. Making it better to workout, ride motorcycles, etc more comfortably without your wrist better restricted of an easier flow of movements. Also feels more comfortable especially when it’s not flopping around all over the place on my wrist…

Jep, I've got one in Silver Sparkle with a Seiko VK63 movement and it's only 1 sec late per year! All adjustables are screwed down 😊! Incredibel quality of a watch! It's my refernce watch for the rest of about 💯 ones of all factories! It's a bit small and a beautiful watch even for womans! 😎👍🏼😘

mine has signed crown, and logo etched on case back. Zero back play on the bezel. Paid 25 gbp absolute bargain prefer it to some of my automatics.

Hello and thanks for the great review and agree with you that the wings are more comfortable off I also took mine off and noticed a difference immediately but did wear the watch for awhile with the wings on and it was fine for short periods it didn’t bother me but after many hours it got more uncomfortable but I do like to wear my watch’s snugger and not loose I wanted to ask you did you replace the screws with different ones after you took the wings off I did replace mine with some other screws since the ones that were on with the wings are made a little bigger to add the room for the wings and when I tried to use them they would not want to go all the way in so I had a parts watch that had screws that worked on mine that fit but was wanting to know if you swapped out different screws also on your watch or used the ones that were used with the wings

It's quite interesting about the viewing angles. Because it seems pretty random. I bought 2 "DW5600E". One from amazon japan, and the other from amazon usa. The Japanese one had "Fox Fire" written on the top, but its LCD was unreadable at certain angles. However the DW5600E i bought off of amazon USA, you could read the LCD from nearly any angle. The only significant difference between the two was that the "fox fire" one said Made in China, whereas the "normal" one said Made in Thailand on the back plate.

I have 6 Pagani design watches in my collection but I started paying more attention to Addiesdive and i realised they have better build up quality and cheaper than Pagani watches. AD2054 is another highly recommended at £35 after tax.

I got my blue version in the last sale for £20....and the ceramic bezel has absolutely zero play in it. I work on ships and this and my Addiesdive Tuna can watch are absolutely perfect. My caseback is also fully etched with the Addiesdive logo etc. I wonder at the one you got?
