- Collards greens are one of the easiest plants to grow in the garden. They also have many health benefits. Here I’ll show u how I like to grow collards in raised beds and containers.

I like the name of your channel. I was born and raised one mile from I75 "south" of ATL and it was the number 75 exit back in those days now it is 221 exit.
That black cow gets the job done ever time. You got them looking good bro!
Beautiful collards❤
Glad I found this cleaning up my garden tomorrow and starting cool weather vegetables. 😎
What are you growing this fall?
@@75southgardening58 I direct sowed carrots and peas. Then started some trays of collards, Kale, turnips, broccoli, Brussel sprouts and spinach. Hopefully I'm not to late starting the seeds. This is my second year growing alot of vegetables like this. I grew potatoes in the spring and did well so I might try some fall potatoes see what happens lol.
Lots of knowledge. Keep growing.
Yes on my collard green plants I just snap them off just like you did. And they grow back so fast
New sub from North East PA. Gonna start a fall garden and collards will be my first crop. So happy I came across this vid, great info and tips. Keeping my fingers crossed I can get a decent harvest.
New subscriber! Great info, but the money shot for me was the raised bed that you made! Love it. I needed to see that!

How to Build a pvc hoophouse
New sub. Love your voice it’s very soothing but you need to turn your mile up just a bit. What kind of dust did you use for the bugs? I am hydroponically using the kratky method for my greens but I think I will but a few in buckets as well. 9b FL first time collard and cabbage grower. Looking forward to more great videos.
Thanks, I used Diamataceous earth food grade. If you mention turn the volume up, at the time when I made this I had no idea how to edit videos. I have a new video on the way for collards
Hello how did you make your beds. Enjoyed video but your volume was a little low. Keep up the good work. How did you make your covers. Thank you
Simple cinder blocks. Leveled the ground as best as I could on the hill and put cardboard underneath for weed control. I'm gonna do a video on it soon.
Did you grow these transplants or did you purchase them? If your purchased them, where did you get them? Thank you
All grown inside from seed then transplanted outdoors. I have purchased transplants before from the local nursery's.
What material are you using over the collards
It's called tulle fabric, you can get it from joanns. I ordered mines from Amazon a few years ago.
What kind of netting do you use?
Tulle fabric
Im growing in Alabama. What state are you in?
Ga, zone 8a
What's the difference in snapping them opposed to cutting them?
Some people are heavy handed and break the plant.
vrich, nothing it is dong the same thing. But cutting is better for the plant but it should be done with sterilized sciccors or knife
You need to talk louder smh
At the time I didn't know how to edit the volume
Thanks for sharing brotha love the video regardless!
