It was my dream to go for IFoS. But then I followed the herd and prepared for IIT. Missed it by a whisker. Went to NIT for BTech and then again followed the herd and did my MBA from one of the top 6 IIMs. Earning okay in corporate in those swanky plush offices but feel something is missing. I should have really gone for what I was passionate about. This video for me is a sad reminder of what I missed out on. When it comes to career, follow your heart and gut feeling guys and give your best shot.

@@amritapuri2964 someones salary doesn't keep you happy... They need respect of society which corporate doesn't have.... But someone may really like nature... So this man must be felling in these two category
@@amritapuri2964 beyond a certain point additional salary wont really give you proportionate amount of happiness. Money is important but only to a certain point. Being passionate about your work is way more important. And the good part is the more passionate you are about your job, the better you get at it faster and subsequently you become more successful in terms of money, power and respect.

IFS is Indian Foreign Services and IFoS is Indian Forest Services.

IFoS is the exam name. Both are IFS but forest service is much older and before India's independence, named as imperial forest service.

I always this country less than Civil Service probably because of lack of awareness about this service.
Graduated from DCE then joined BHEL then left it. Appeared in IAS interview in 2013 but not selected. Again joined a PSU and prepared with it but could not get into final list. Even cracked CAPF 2 times but because of underrated element attached with it then didn't appeared in interview.
IFoS is good but there is lack of awareness about their job profile.
