Nice video. I purchased a Dixie bluefin few years ago . Bad engine and a leaves were probably a foot deep . The wife thought I was crazy for bringing it home . I completely redone it and it gets more conversation than any boat on lake . I believe it’s the only walk around in our area . We love it including the wife lol.
Bro that thing is MONEY. The resale on those restored is insane. People love those things. That was a great boat.
Please stop making great videos. I was up until 4am watching and had to leave the house at 6:30 for work. Thanks a lot. Here I am watching again. As long as you keep making videos I will never get any sleep. Cut me some slack!
All B.S. aside, I think what you do is cool as a cucumber. Keep up the great work,
Is it possible to purchase one of the refurbished boats.
Really nice build, I love seeing old boats brought back to life. I have three that I am working on but they are more major refits. The hardest part here, is finding a good used motor for a decent price. I think my next project I am going to go with one more like this without all the major repairs and quicker turnaround. Great video and love the lights.
Your videos are so fun to watch! Thanks for posting the boat "flips". Not sure how others feel, but I would enjoy seeing a time line, or an explanation of how long these projects take to achieve. Congratulations on your channels success! This is good content, keep up the good work!
Nice choice of words 😂
Awesome job on that boat. I'm about to buy my first boat and been watching your videos. Makes me feel like I kinda know what I'm doing and should be easy to fix when I have to! Keep it up!
You guys do great work! It’s awesome to watch you resurrect these boats. Keep the videos coming!
Killer video on a killer boat build. All she needs are a few electronics.
Imagination, skill and a good work ethic.
You have it in spades, which is why your videos are so enjoyable!
Thank you for making this video, your refurbishment of older, neglected, but otherwise good boats is excellent, and will encourage others to do the same, thereby extending the lives of these craft, and the pleasure and usefulness they give.
Really awesome that you guys give these older boats a second shot at life out on the water. Always enjoy your videos and you convinced me to refurb our boat!
Fantastic deal and good job! Your videos are very entertaining. I like the fact that you make them short and sweet and don't drag them to additional videos, although I am sure some jobs make it necessary. I would still watch them from beginning to end though. Thanks for the price breakdown.
Thanks for sharing - great job restoring - boat came out nice!
Nice job on that boat. Not keen on those paint flicks in the cabin. I would have painted it over. The hatch is an emergency exit and also to let heat out. A tip if you do another floor like that, put full boards at either ends and work to the centre, that is where your filler strip goes. If you reduce a few strips by a quarter inch, your filler will be the corresponding amount wider, so not as noticeable. Lift your ladder and secure with a strap when underway. Good luck with the next project.
It's funny because on another boat they did that on purpose. It's not to everybody's taste but I don't think it's horrible.
awesome job, you guys really cleaned this boat up nice. i love watching videos exactly like this so make more
Great Mini! I've had several. Imported and restored them. Tons of fun.
Good job refurbishing the boats. Try some Toon Brite with a Scotch pad on your trailers to make them shine.
Guessing, Bay Pines ramp? I'm in Riverview and used it to go out John's Pass
John Wren ,noticed the Mini as it's what I do for a living in the UK. Tupmans Minis
I was shocked to see that. I believe its a Mini Innocenti from italy. Really just a rebadged regular Mini.
Sounds like you live on I-95
I love this .I live in San Diego for last 48 years..I have had boats (dont now)up till last year.5 years I worked as deck hand on sport fishing boat and hired out to do boat work in the off season.needless to say I truly
Like your vid's.make alot more soon.all the best to you.
I’ve seen you do several bottom paint jobs. I’d like to see how you move the boat on the trailer to get where the trailer bunks are.
I would like to see you take the covers off the motors that you work on and I have a Mercury motor on my boat and I am having a problem trying to get it started I think it’s a Mercury 190.
What did you use to fill in the gashes?
The gashes are typically filled in with a two-part epoxy you can get it at most marine supply stores. Or you could just use JB Weld. And bottom painting under the bunks is done by jacking the boat up a few inches. You do this by lowering the tongue all the way down. Putting cement or wood blocks under the elevated rear corners of the boat covered by cushions. I use old towels. Then bring the trailer tongue back up to max, and prop up the front sort of like the back. I use a v shaped plywood rest on top of blocks to stabilize the bow. Level the trailer out and you should have a few inches to work that paint in there. Hope it helps. Aquasports rock!
James Shelnutt easy, jack up the front with boat stands under the back, then pull the trailer out and set the front on some blocks
@James Shelnutt go to 11:11 and look at that wooden contraption in the bed of his truck my bet is that he uses that under the middle of the boat and uses a jack under it to lift it up.
Excellent job bringing a nice boat back to life. Keep up the good work!
Good work. I'm not in to cabin boats but I like this one for some strange reason. Really like the stance, angles of this one.
I’ve been building outboards for 16 years the ox66 is a great motor , one of the best ever !
That Aquasport has all the qualities to make a beautiful boat , but what I really liked was that beast V6 outboard motor , that Yamaha is a powerful class act , one of the best made outboard motors
She should really move with that 200 hp
Aquasport was a direct competitor of the Boston Whaler boats
Of course Boston Whaler made some great boats but they were more expensive
I like the walk around cuddy cabin layout
You get almost a big center console and a cuddy which is really nice
Thanks for a great video
man this is awesome!!! you should do a video to educate first time boat buyers. what to look for and what would be a cheap fix and what would be an expensive fix.
Great job guys.. I am 33 been out work recently due stupid autoimmune really kicking my butt. Love fishand cuddy cabin boat like you all do. I really enjoy your videos hopefully I can return to work soon and get a boar like this one. Keep the video coming again really enjoy them all!!
I think you and your friend have a good thing going! You two are a great team! Only thing, if I done it, I would have restrained the cabinet in the cabin. Compared to all the rest you did it looks really sad. Thx great video!
I have that exact boat and it is currently at a local boat shop for a repower. Getting a new Suzuki 200 hp. It is a very solid boat. The old motor is an Evinrude 200 HP. It was sitting in my yard for 4 years unused and I recently decided to bring it back to life. Thanks for this video and some great ideas.
I have that same boat, it's a 1988. Painted with white Awlgrip. Replaced all of the teakwood with Starboard. Installed a 2 stroke 250 hp Mercury . It will do 50 MPH.
I bet many of us would like to see a vid of your boat
Aquasports are a known quality hull("hull truth"). Good choice with that I agree. Was looking at a well duded out Grady White a while back for an entry level off shore ride. Not a fan of the over the top new machines on the market currently although the new motors are very nice these days for repower.
I see you have my babyfishkiller hat. That’s awesome. Great job on the boat💪👍
He wouldn't stop talking about the damn hat lol
Where do u sell them?
Front hatch is if you are piloting and someone is in the cabin coming to dock , the person in the cabin can just climb out and tie off . Or if you want to drop anchor , works same way . Loved that feature on my old boat .
Have done a couple myself. Great little way to make money. So many boats sitting in people’s yards unused for years. Elbow grease and some new gear makes it like new. Better than new to me because I’ll never buy a new boat.
This is the value and the family time is priceless.
One of my favorite boats yet I wish I had the top platform I like the way the door opened up in the front for extra air and the windows good job guys
Great guy, great job too, I'm so addicted to your ingeniousness, keep the good work going, God bless
Love this. Post more of the labor please I really wanna buy a project boat and would love ideas on how you do it. Looks beautiful!
The videos would be hours long lol
Have a 1990 21XF Aquasport, great overall design in my opinion. Nice work cleaning up and repowering!
Liking what y'all are doing. Got a project myself. Slowly getting it done but running into problem after problem
Great job. Perfect for a new owner to come in and finish her. I enjoyed your video alot.
That engine you bought is probably the best money can buy, they are fantastic engines, extremely reliable.
Full cut and polish? Just finishing a 1971 steadcraft 16, she looks beautiful.
I see this on Marketplace. Nice flip man!
Another awesome video, as always, keep them coming 👍
Man saying that thing runs really good is an understatement...that 200 purrrs. Love the drone shots!
Always so keen to see your next uploads
Looks like the boat turned out to be on its second chance ...Txs for sharing...
Great boat guys i have a northbank 550 cuddy cab and i like installing thing in the boat myself like deck wash live well tank spot lights i bought a hydraulic steering kit i got the noat mechanic to istall as the motor had to be taken off enjoy the boat cheers.
Congratulations...excelent work in your boat. enjoy
You are Amazing Eric. Thank you for your Great Videos and teacher us !
Hey bro,..great upload again as always...
How fast did she go wen you got on the water? You normally do a speed test but not this time...
Keep up the brilliant work😀
@ 20 min mark it sounds like the engine was breaking up some from a misfire or fouled plugs or something. I have a Yami 200 I know what they sound like. Probably wouldn’t hit a top speed and didn’t wanna advertise that as I’m sure he’s selling it. I’m sure it was fixed before sold
Great video, great job cleaning up what is a really nice boat. That boat should handle choppy waters with ease! Cheers
I've seen people in north Texas asking $4,500 for much less nice boats with only 40 - 50 hp motors. There is something about the area in which you guys live that has a lively market for good used boats, fairly cheap, and easy to renovate if you have a good work ethic, elbow grease and a basic knowledge of outboard diagnosis and repair. God on you, guy, this is one of my fave channels.
You did one hell of a job. And you’ve got one hell of a motor. I have a 94 Yam 150. I’d kill for an 11 year newer yam 200!
Nice job again, boat looks good, nice Yamaha outboard 👌👍✌
Please don't stain the wood -- it's teak. sand it and use tung oil on it. That has been the classic treatment for teak for several hundred years.
Tom Herbert you won’t like me on my 1977 searay my wood was going bad cracking, chunks missing ,as well I sand and oiled but it was still not good so I filled in cracked and missing bits and primed and applied a black satin industrial coating . If in the future I get some time in the winter I may purchase some new wood and hand rub and oil it . But over all my faded but mechanical well taken care of Omc 351 powered searay turned out as good a results as this video and it came with a HD tandem axel trailer with surge brakes and all electronics some tools full subrella top that was badly stained and moss on it ( stitched a few seams and washed top and refinished it )1800 .oo Canadian and only used in fresh water and marina Serviced for 12 years including a full rebuild of complete out drive on the Omc out drive
I second that!
I was horrified when I watch the other video and I heard him say they were going to stain the wood....
lol right??
whos going to spend the time to lick that much wood?! :o
great job dude, nice little rig for someone, motor sounds nice. well done.
WOW sir.....u n ur buddy r such patient artist ....i appreciate ur videos so much sir! Um shocked @ how fast dat engine started up....oh my! Keep up da great work....n until da next fantastic video....u guys take er easy n God bless u n ur family!!
I’m having a stroke reading this.
Cool seeing an old boat given some more time on the water!!
Hey, new subscriber here.
Watched several vids. Love them. Only one request. Please discuss your costs with more detail during the videos. Thanks! Good luck with the channel!
The hatch up front is an emergency exit for the cabin. Guess the usual square hatch didn't fit the look the engineer wanted.
I oddly think this looks better then just some boring square.
Man!
You get some really good deals out there bro..........what are planning to ask for that baby?
As always hitting the 👍on every video so much fun to watch!!
Hi; could you share some of the products, how you go about fixing some of the issues you've encountered...Thank you Phenomenal Job
Great video ,lovely boat! I think you should name it "WOT KNOT" 😁
😂
How about "Stolen goods" like my comment?
I can’t stop hearing that
Out of all the boats you fixed up this is one of favorites good fun in the water👍👍👍👍👍
Nicely done. That boat turned out great.
I really enjoyed this video because it has given me a lot enthusiasm in what is possible .
Great find and great job! Congratulations!
You make it look so easy it came out great
Hey bro!
Even if u still have to work to the small details,ur boat remains a vvvery nice one.
Succes nd greetings from a romanian living in Germany!
Another great restore. Bay Pines is a great place to launch from.
I like the bench seat/hatch on the bow. Most boats with a vberth have escape hatches but nevet seen one that doubles as a seat. Clever!
Awesome job! I am also a restorer and have found that little details make big difference in maximizing ROI. For example the drawers in the cabin could have been stained to look new and the striping on the exterior of the boat would have provided a nice touch if repainted. Little things like that make a restoration pop!
Excellent job love your channel
Absolutely!
You read my mind! Why stain all the other woodwork so beautifully and leave that small area unfinished?
nice job; awesome looking finished product
Really enjoy seeing the old boat come back alive
this channel is awesome good job man!
Nice restoration but you really should have done the exterior graphics and striping and the interior wood work on the cabin cabinets. That would have made it look brand new. Why did you decide not to do these couple things?
Because it wasn't a restoration
Loved the video and the boat work. Can we also get a fix up video of that sweet little Mini Cooper
You seem to find lots of that style boat. It’s simple and great
Dude love your vids. Awesome job
Really glD to see you give these older boats motors etc. A second chance !!!!
Amazing boat! You did a great job. I have a 19’ Manatee that resembles that. Poor mans version I guess, but thank you, you’ve just re-inspired me to follow through with my project.
Nice Work! Your on to a nice business niche!
That's a strong motor! Nice boat/ good price.
Great work, but I hope the bilge pump is a beast because I would suspect the gas tank covering boards wont be water tight.
Buy the stickers and finish the wood in cabin great job ! After having a 4 stroke Damn that motor is loud ! Tim Nj.
You should show all the engine mounting, wiring, morse cable installations.
I really enjoy your videos. The work you do is amazing. I would like to know how you sell your completed projects. I have always liked the walk around cutty's.
Be nice to have a break down on the $$$. Purchase price, material etc and how much it sold for.
Thank you. Cane here to exactly mention the same.
German Floridian description
Keep up the great job. I love your videos.
Good job! How do you paint the bottom of the boat in the areas of where the trailer is in contact? do you have to lift the boat for that?
A subscription to this channel is just so satisfying.... truth. ( liked)
Great job.. I wish i could restore something like this because i love to turn the rock into the diamond.. I like to watch the difference when it still ugly and the thing after being restored.. 🥰🥰
Nice Find! Nice Work! Enjoyed the video!
Do you recommend doing this if you do not have much experience with engines/mechanics with a lower budget? Not sure where you find these classic boats for such a cheap price its amazing!
Hey brother great job !!
Where do you guys post the boats for sale when you're done with them ?
Would love to look at some of the ones you have finished for sale.
Exelente restauración 👍 FELICIDADES 👍 saludos desde República Dominicana 🇩🇴👍🐟🦈🐬
That front escape hatch is in case of fire on the stern of the boat...from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠
I have the same boat. Thats for storage, someone cut the bottom out.
Didn’t even get through the commercial before I liked the video. I was not disappointed!
It cleaned up good, the darker bottom paint helps by not having so much baby blue. What brand of paint do you use?
nicely done ! what a sweet little boat !
How do you paint the spots underneath that are touching trailer pads. Do you just not paint those spots? Thanks man
I imagine they painted the first lot, let it dry and then shifted the boat on the trailer and painted the spots
I was thinking the same thing. I agree with the other comment from Tom below. That's what I would have done. Can't think of another way to do it without a lift.
You can use the trailer to lift the rear of the boat. Lower the tongue all the way down then block up the rear. Then jack the tongue back up and it’ll lift the rear of the boat off the trailer
I love watching these so satisfying
It looks great, why wouldn't you repaint above the waterline and replace the vinyls?
