“She’s floating which is a good sign” - me every time I drop my boat in😂

Hey!!!! Would ya look at that! The engine is still attached! Must be my lucky day!
Us when our sea rays prop littelry fell off
Candy Corn, hahaha

Awesome, now flip it and get a better one, a bigger one at copart and keep going. Be the Goon Squad of boat rebuilds. You have the skills, keep the content coming. 👍👍👍
not really a rebuild his ground work is already solid. its just basically prettying up
I agree with that bro
Justin Hale he has a good vision
Goonzquad just did a salvage boat video
goooooooon sqqqqqquuuaaaad lol..... yea those dudes rock..... The Boat Guy is dope as well i luv watching.
@6:00 Joe (the upholstery guy) passed away earlier this year. I tried contacting him but his wife informed me of the news.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
At least some his work is on this beautiful boat. His legacy lives on so to speak.
Damn 😢
That's Really A Bummer. He Did Some Good Work & I Know He'll Be Missed.
That's so sad...😢. I'm praying for his family...
I admire the fact that you show the person business card that did the upholstery. Great video, also I just subscribed!
Queendidine C Why? So you can prank call them😂
@@electricedge4383 I sent the business and email and will probably have then redo my upholstery, so, there's that.
no so you don't call them, that upholstery job was laterally stretched over wood and stapled on the backside my 5 year old could have done better. that's why the cushions have such huge gaps where they meet at the bow a very cheap poor job
@@ericshanescott4233 Well you'll not have to worry about it now,he's pushing up the daisies.
kenneth ryder he died
you literally inspire me to get a beat up boat for cheap and put some work in and have a 1 of a kind vessel.
Right! I'm looking everywhere trying to find stuff like this. Idk where he finds all these boats
It’s not as easy as this all the time, I’ve spent 5 years restoring my 17FT ski and fish
@@ISwearDownOnMeNansGrave marketplace and auctions
@@ISwearDownOnMeNansGrave There are several boat salvage yards across the southeast US. Also check public auctions and banks for repos.
I always forget how noisey the big 2 strokes use to be. Instant power though!
Oscar Zamora some kinda inside joke?
I have 2 stokes the quiet only thing I have a problem with it when I was on the lake for a long time I switch to charge both batteries when I was coming in the charging system acted up band new batteries on board when we bought them we never paid what we were bought I took it in to see what it was wrong everything check out very well when I had switched to charge both batties the charging system shut down because it throws it was charging a 24 vote battery they put a larger battery to start the boat in the other battery does run the radio and the fish finders and trolling motor I do carry 2 more charged batties on board as well short time after I got the boat we got stuck comming off the lake in a lightning and thunderstorm it came from no way taken 4 hours getting back to the truck to load it up had a lighting strike hit in found were we were going it blow a fuse under the hood out we wear lucky we found a place that had a new one changed it out
worked fine when back out when time to start the motor both batterys died the isolator failed it drained both batties
it hard to start the motor with a rope we got it started luckily we are not that stupid to figure out how to start it easy with the rope when we go home the exit day the boat was in the shop to have it look at they found it and put a different type in the boat
I had a awesome boss when I bought the boat somehow 4 from work had to go the mill to work we had to push in the morning then to put up the boats to go fishing for the day and got paid for it as well 10 of the fulltime know we were fishing the others never knew about it
but I did put long days in when I worked I start work at 4 am someday stilled 9 pm to help out with loading trucks the bosses never complained about my hours worked the summer was awesome I had to show up to unload and reload the kiln with lumber then back to the lake to build the cabin Monday morning I push in and Friday night I push out I was warned to be on land by 8 am that when work, starts at the lake that when my boss gets up we go fishing for an hour, I start working and have breakfast short time after that we work to 6 and supper was done them we fish to dark have a camper I live in there
if I had to start at 4 am I go home right after we eat was nice to have a hot shower then a cold bath in the lake supple we needed for the lake I would pick up at work too
the year later I was going to my sister place she was transferred to New Brunswick plan 3 weeks of the holiday he has given my 6-week drive with my parents down their and back that was an awesome trap to be able to see Canada I worked harder after that too
I never got paid overtime each hour I worked overtime I got 2 hours regular time and it was banked time for rainy days when the place sold out I had 252weeksk of pay I got paid out to me a short time after o move on was not the same place it was I still hard the hours but was not like it was like before we kept in touch with each other after the company was sold we still go fishing together still
we now have a larger group to go fishing with we have now 3 boats to fish with we have it in for each boat I have put a pressure pump on mine now 200 feet I can get both boats soaked too the fish cop did not like it much when it was turned on. on them selfs they wanted to check the boat for fish they hit the switch the pumped the water and soaked them self never had on on board after that they did find as in the campgrounds they ask as to join them for the night that got the ground talking when we had to leave with then
had an awesome time there one of the officers was a friend with one of us
What language is that supposed to be?
I have a 96 Merc Black Max 135 that still runs great. Light, a lot of torque, and fast. Also burns a lot of gas but who cares if it is still running well. Nice work on your Proline. Bonus spare ss prop too.
That's *_not_* noisy.
You should meet my ex-wife...
“Spotlight’s wired up” proceeds to blind neighbor lmao love the vids
"Saving boats, one at a time!" I really enjoyed the transformation, you all did an amazing job!
I've been binge watching your videos all morning long. I want to say thank you for taking the time to film all your hard work. These projects make me want to find restore an older boat ! Thanks again!
Awesome job guys! From NC, READY TO RIDE.
You should be so proud of your new "old" ride, beautiful job brother.
Great story
Thanks for sharing
Great job guys! Super glad to see the old boat back on the water- She's got plenty of years left in her! Can't wait for the next video
Sweet boat. Really looks good. Hard work but great job! Enjoy!!!
Nice job man! Run like a champ now! Keep them video coming👍
Great job!!! You did amazing! So happy the boat is back on the water where it belongs making memories!
Love fishing in John's Pass. I go back near the boat launch and go under the 2 bridges at night to catch Snook. So much fun!
The mouth of the Bayou I believe if that was Bay Pines ramp
Beautiful job. Always love seeing someone turning something forgotten into a beautiful work of art. The LEDs set that boat off, totally worth the time and money. You have yourself a wonderful fishing boat. Very nice! 👍
Nice Job guys,really nice job.
That looks so good. Super impressed lads and I’m jealous of the boat you now have.
So awsome to see a older boat saved and back to running and looking good!
Another Great Job! Awesome video! 👍
I absolutely LOVE the sound of those 2-strokes ! Nice job !!
At idle that 2 stroke sounds rowdy AF
Awesome to watch each transformation!! Love the dedication you guys have awesome team.
Awesome job bringing it back to life, love the lights!
I am super impressed with your efforts. Keep it up. Love watching this stuff.
You guys do fantastic jobs man, I proud of you both
What a fab project. . Loving the night lights... looking forward to the next one... 😊
I have the same exact boat sitting in my driveway. With a mariner 200 2 stroke. Going on 9 years now.
Awesome work man love the finishing touches you just gained my following looking forward to more
Nice job can't believe how far you came true transformation keep them coming love the video
You do great work... love your videos... I grew up around these boats as a child.. I love seeing these old girls come back to life.
You should be proud of it! Amazing transformation!
Great work guys! She had 1 foot in the grave. Engine sounds strong, love me some 2 strokes.
you love 2 strokes because that's all it takes wink wink
Good job 👍 looks good sounds bad ass mercury best outboard cheers 🍻
So awesome that you guys are bringing these boats back to life. Even better that you can turn a couple bucks in the process.
AMAZING! Absolutely AMAZING!! Awesome work guys. Such a shame anyone would let a sweet boat like this rot. But you guys brought her back to life. Kudos!!
In the berth you'll need to put carpet back on wall's and ceiling, as it will prevent condensation to the cold fibre glass.
Also helps with the sound, from echoing.
Good job bringing her back to life! I like the deck layout on this boat. You do a great job on these old neglected boats. I enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.👍
That was pretty cool to watch glad you and ur old man got a chance to go out and enjoy it.. thanks for sharing
Magnificent, boat guy, just fantastic. You are a very talented man.
Excellent job! you made it look easy - I have been there and know it's not easy! haha. Props to you. Nice job.
Love the sound of those old 2 stroke mercs
demoCRAPS suck so that's how those are supposed to sound? Goollllyy, sounds like there's steel cutlery in the combustion chambers :/
Excellent restoration job! It just proves that one man’s junk is another man’s treasure! Congrats!
Wow! What a difference. That boat looks sweet. 👊😎
Great work = Great results! Nice job!
Truly admire your work ethic, knowledge and attention to detail. You would make a killing as a boat mechanic.
I couldnt have said it better! I am amazed as well with his work ethic! Im sure he could make it doing about anything marine related.
He is a boat mechanic and boat restorer now.
Not an expert, but using a power washer doesnt make a killer marine mechanic
Amazing job and sure looks great! Love the video and sweet drone shots that really showcased the maiden voyage for its second life.
I bought a 16 foot Arima that sat in the desert for 20 years! Luckily it was covered with a Sunbrella cover! It needed 2 new tires. The 60 hp outboard actually ran, roughly but ran. I was tired of playing with old motors so had a brand new 90hp 2 stroke installed along with a new steering system. I used it for 7 years and sold it last year. Of course I didn't make any money on it but had many fun fishing outings.
Proline are fantastic boats. You truly were fortunate to have landed that and it looks great.
Funny seeing you here lol
ATribeCalledCookies6dotcom Heya Stranger :) Good seeing you out and about too.
Awesome restoration and didn't cost an arm and a leg either. Nice move tearing the fuzzy carpet off the cabin walls. It looks so much better with a coat of paint in there. Nice choice using rustoleum instead of some hundred dollar a quart boat paint. The money spent on the upholstery was very well spent. Its impressive how much you accomplish with a lot of work and very little money. If you ever get over to port Canaveral, the beer is on me!
Would it be acceptable to put Rust-Oleum on the outside also? Top cap? Hull?
The one I'm redoing will only be in the water when in use.
I was born in Lakeland and raised in Tampa. I spent MOST of my young life on the gulf and this video brought back SO MANY wonderful memories. I bought a used Glastron in my early 20s and had it for MANY years !!!!! I really miss being on the water and LOVED you restoration !!!!!!
Love seeing those old boats reconditioned! Cause recycling matters! CMTFU!!
Awesome find. Are you keeping it? Gonna make a nice offshore boat and even an overnighter. Great job giving an old boat new life---love it!
That's awesome looks great!! Engine sounds a little rough at idle but seems to run good. Good luck with it !!
Great job! Wish we had those kind of finds out west here... everyone out here thinks whatever they have is worth a gold mine... well done guys! I'd love to have a boat like that!!! 😎
So cool, you get these old boats, and make them nice again. Y'all did a nice job.
It would be pretty cool to know how much it cost out of pocket... at least for the things you needed to buy to freshen her up. Great videos !!! Really enjoyed them👍
I wouldn't imagine more than a couple grand. Definitely not like these dudes that take a boat they could buy in good condition for 5 grand, then spend 10 grand replacing everything, and doing a ton of glass / structural work.
@@notsure7874 I have a catalina 22 I'm working on myself.I hope it come out as good as work y'all do.
@@jeffereyhayes7216 My first boat was a Catalina 22. I loved that boat. I had the fixed keel version, not the swing keel. I did end up with the kick up rudder from a swing keel one, and it was awesome because I was moored in very shallow water. Boat would bottom out a little bit every tide swing :D
@@jeffereyhayes7216 The pop up hard top was FIRE! I'd love to have another, but I need a trailer boat where I'm at now. You can trailer a cat 22, but stepping the mast every time is a bitch.
Live bait source on board.. nice !!
Great Job, those old 2.5 Mercs are Great Engines.
Nothing more satisfying that watching something being brought back to life.
Those old black max engines are bloody powerful compared to a new 200 hp
My dad had a black max 135 then he sold it and got a 150 the old carb engine had way more power than the new injected engine
Man, I love these restoration videos. so satisfying. Is that your full time gig or do you just do that on the side. I love working on my own boats so I could see how it could be a fun career. wouldnt work where im at though. I live in NY . boating season is short. I would have liked to see that light bar working, never though of putting one on a boat before.
Cool to see a whole project from start to finish in one video !
Amazing!! I wish I can find a beauty like that one. Great job guys.
When your boat's lit up it looks like a lap dancing club. Seriously though, well done...J.
It's crazy to me how long boats/motors last when taken care of,and even sometimes when not taken care of.
Great job on bringing that boat back, really looks good, enjoy!!!!!!!!!!
great video, loved the before and after, the upholstery, and the LED lights are Killer!
Gear oil looked pretty good surprisingly
I love the sound of the old 2 strokes you just don't hear that sound out on the water anymore. They are really bullet proof just doing a sink and link and standard maintenance will keep them going forever. Great job on the boat guys keep up the great content. Just got a Sub hopefully you already have sold it and are trying to find the next one.
Only a young man has time and energy to fix an old boat. It is a pleasure to watch your project.
Excellent job. You saved another one from the landfill! Just shows what some hard work and perseverance can do.
You know nobody wants to put in the sweat to make this a nice boat again, but good work!
No mention of the structural support - I take it the stringers and transom were in good shape?
Earthworms living in it would give me pause. Sure, they could just have been feasting on the leaves/mulch that had built up above deck, but I'd have to take a peek own below just to be sure.
Love the content - keep it coming!
Sopwithcamel44 I was thinking the same thing. Those stringers and transom HAVE to be shot. The hydrofoil is kind of a giveaway that the boat is waterlogged. Looks good though. I would love to have it.
I'm guessing the old owner ran out of money from the fuel bill and just gave up. The big black max is a thirsty beast. Great restoration vid mate Cheers !!
Markolav70 I had a 1994 150 Black Max. Good motor, but she LOVED fuel. My new Yamaha F200 gets 2.5 times the economy and is so quiet....not knocking the old two strokes.
Good job! I did the same thing with a Sea Ray 26' cuddy. About 25 ago. Had alot of fun! Mine was I/O but outboard is the way to go!
Just makes me smile.. great work!!
That’s a really loud motor at idle.
I was thinking the same... Anything they can do to fix that? Besides decreasing the idle...
Old 80’s style two stroke. Loud and proud. Things were badass back in the day sounded like you had a muscle car on the water
@@tty117 think thats a 90's motor, but with that i guess the same tech mostly unless it was an EFI
The sound of a thirsty two stroke Merc GUZZLING fuel... sweet.
Great boat mate. Loved the video. Happy cruising!
Awesome job guys. Inspires me to tackle a project like this. Im a tinkerer so this is right up my alley.
Awesome video, definitely got a new sub from Australia. Geez $1400, is a bargain, well it would be here in Aus. I purchased just on 18months ago a 1979 14.3ft glass skiboat with a 1979 115hp Chrysler and had to do pretty much same as you(touch up seats, service motor), except clean/paint and I paid $1250aud. So I think it's bargains all round.
Awesome work guys, always cool to find a someone local!
Hi buddy, I'm intrigued by your videos of boat restoration so much so that I've just bought myself one to restore. It's a cruisers holiday 2570 with the mercruiser 5.7 v8 and alpha 1 outdrive. I cant wait to get my teeth into it and eventually hit the water in sunny Scotland 🌧 😂 anyway I wanted to ask which transom lights you used. Keep the videos coming bro. 👍
Your videos are great! Thanks for sharing.
Truly impressed. You’ve inspired me to take on a project myself.
8:35 yoo built in bait
Great video love the old boat restore been working on boats my whole life as a hobby what did you do to address the gas tank fuel system as it must of been skunked out thanks for sharing
You guys did an absolutely amazing job on a boat that's a keeper for me
Phenomenal job guys👊🏻 it looks Great!! I have never thought about doing a boat.... that was too cool 👍
little trick if line the inner cover with a sound suppressant you can reduce the noise by quite a lot.
That particular cover is air restricted as it is. Adding sound deadening make it worse... if anything. Open up the rear air inlet tray and let it breath
Sad that someone let a nice boat like that go to $hit. Nice work BTW...Should be able to get $6k for it
Very nice job. Amazing what some cleaning, elbow grease, and relatively cheap fixes can do.
You and your friends have some talent, that was a very good job on that rig anyone would be proud to have it
I can't imagine how the previous owner of that boat felt when he saw that he cleaned up to boat so much
Those old 2 strokes love to drink gas!
Sucks gas , hauls ass,
I owned a 1983 walk around cuddy with a 200 johnson.Fished offshore Jax and the Keys .Had the boat for 10 years and i loved the boat.Used to put 4 or 5 divers with tanks and gears and it still would run 30 plus mph.
Great video and an amazing rehab...amazing job!!
$1.400! Wow!
For that money here in Sweden I guess you only got the trailer.
Trailers worth that!
MrMae77 In Norway, you’d be lucky to get the trailer wheels for that!!😂😂
SHOULD HAVE JUST TOLD THE GUY YOU WOULD CARRY THE boat away for free
MrMae77 welcome to America
All those years sitting out getting wet being covered in foliage there is a good chance its got rot in the stringers, transom, etc.
sdvten exactly what I said. Leaves dirt , rain and small rodents are great for making rotten wood in a boat!! I just hope he checked it out
This boat is rotten to the core. Guarantee it. That transom will be covered in cracks after using it like that.
To those watching these, the cosmetics are the easy fixes. This hull/transom is completely rotten inside and would be super dangerous to be on.
Nice boat , one of the best motors Mercury ever produced !!
Beautiful boat, credit to the hard work you Guys put in... bloody ripper👍
