    • @tpeack
      @tpeack Před 4 lety +66

      reason i said 28 was because it's 5 years after episode 3 so he would be 28 at some point that year, though we obviously don't have a day or month to go by/
      as for his prime i don't think it works like that anymore, pretty much every force user is stronger the older they get, as old ben was far stronger than obi-wan.
      and in vaders case the physical limitations of age are offset by being mostly cybernetic,
      and as far as i can tell unlike the legends version having cybernetic limbs is no longer a hindrance for force power (best change they made imo), so vader should've continued to grow stronger in the 14 years between this and anh, though he would never reach his potential due to losing his drive/inner fire when "he killed" padme and his unborn child.

    • @IDyce88
      @IDyce88 Před 4 lety +24

      @@tpeack and the reason i said 27 is because that is what the makers of the game actually STATED....look it doesn't matter, 27 or 28 they are pretty much the same. and actually it is stated that Vader is far stronger here than he ever is...primarily because he is younger...in later years his age combined with conflict weakens his power (plus maybe the emperor was suppressing it). other Jedi of the Galactic Empire era stood no chance against Vader (please bear in mind Force Awakens is none canon, end of story on that subject, i accept everything Old Republic/ Eternal Empire as canon but not Force Awakens...primarily because those stories end with logic if you follow the Jedi Knight version...Eternal Empire perishes and sith and republic go back to war...which leaves Episode 1 open to how it starts many years later). but i digress Yoda was in hiding in GE era...obi wan felt it was more logical to give advice as a spirit and rightly so...Vader had killed most other Jedi. Luke and Sidious were the only other real Force users...but sidious was a pussy who used words not weapons (i never liked him).

      I wish that was an actual choice and it's own separate ending, but I guess it's hard to give those options with multiple endings that both have to fit within the same canon of the Star Wars universe. Giving Vader and the Emperor that list of force sensitive children would have a huge effect on everything that would come after.
      Loved this game though, it's nice to get a single player focused Star Wars game these days that's actually a really great game on top of that. Bring on the sequel!

    This was honestly perfect for ending Trilla. A redemption would have felt forced, while neither Cal nor Cere feels right dealing the final blow, specially since it probably would have turned Cere fully. Instead, having Vader come and finish things, it feels right. Trillas fear in the end makes her feel like such an unfortunate character. Makes her sympathetic. And it does not feel forced, Vader would discard her without hesistation and it feels like a plausible and impactful outcome.

      To those who say that _TFU_ undersells Vader…you must be a prodigy of a gamer to have considered him easy. The game, the comic, and the novel make it clear that Marek had to _work_ for that, even when he possessed force lightning, which we know Vader is weak against if it hits him, and Marek also had an advantage over Vader in that he had sparred with him before, with predictable results in the form of Vader winning. Marek knew what tactics to expect. And of course, Vader didn’t take Marek seriously until it was too late. All these factors added up and allowed Marek to achieve a victory over his former master. Not to mention that Marek used the most overkill methods to defeat Vader, who _still_ lived through it.

    I had the exact same thought when Vader showed up, just like “Welp, these characters are about to be wiped from existence.”I just gave every character involved up and figured ‘em for dead. I know that’s not really how it turned out, but it kind of gave me an idea about a new Star Wars game like this one... one where you’re some specific Jedi Knight with a tragic backstory who was raised in the midst of the Clone war kinda like Cal here, and along the journey throughout the story of this game you see this protagonist grow thanks to you, and you become attached to him. You also become dearly attached to his pet droid(because droid companions are a staple in anything Star Wars) and any other main character who are with him. And finally you reach the final mission or missions. You face off and defeat an inquisitor with the help of your companions.... then at some point, where you least expect it, a scene similar to the one at the beginning of this video plays out, where the worst possible nightmare that could happen in Star Wars is happening and Darth Vader makes his awe-infusing, mesmerizing & petrifying entrance, seeming all to at ease with making himself known. Then, instead of the story playing out like every other Star Wars story, where the protagonist wins & lives on or dies for the sake of something good & significant, I want the player to have to helplessly deal with the character getting inevitably & helplessly cut down by Vader outright along with the rest of the companions. Then Vader sheathes his saber, walks over the bodies across the pitch black room to the door, opening it causing piercing white light to break upon his menacing silhouette before he briskly steps out and we hear his footsteps recede along with his respirator fading away... and then black screen. Nothing for a minute before credits start to roll. That would be such an unexpected & horrifying twist for a Star Wars game!! It would be fresh too, nobody has seen it before in Star Wars, and it would captivate anyone who enjoys anything Star Wars.

    Funny trivia: holocron which the game revolves around is copy of the same holocron that was featured in 2017 Vader-comic second book, "the dying light." Same series is also canonical appearance for ninth sister(who has bigger support role in "Rule of five" and "The burning seas") and early cameo of Trilla. i.redd.it/ck6br8v1z2s21.jpg

      Hell my favorite Vader "scene" doesn't even have Vader in it. It's in Star Wars Rebels when he comes to Lothal and Ezra and Kanan just feel his presence when they aren't even on the planet.

I am definitely excited for Fallen Order 2, but I want to be a Sith sooo badly. Also a Mandalorian game would be incredible. So this game was one of the few things that properly showed Vaders real strength. The movies made him seem normal, even weak. In reality he's one of the strongest Sith. Up there with Darth Sidious and Darth Bane. Cere's use of the dark side stopped him for a second but he easily overpowered it. At the end he was holding back the damn ocean. Imagine all that pressure he was holding off with the force. Sith lords are always stronger than Jedi. Darth Bane once took on 3 Jedi at one time and they were under the influence of force battle meditation. He killed them all as his apprentice killed another she was fighting
