He got the mustache to match
The molestache...
Looks like A gangster
Probably carrying the Beretta 92 or S&W 4506
@@seanchapman7165 No. Lamest joke ever lmao don’t be a dunce
Bruh say he got the mustache to match 😂
They used that shit to chase down oj 😂
Nope. One of em, not this one.
@@nwezetx1 Was definitely this one.
@@nov2263 Nope, too new. CHP Tahoes didn't exist during the chase.
@@nwezetx1 Obviously it did and it was definitely this exact vehicle.
@@nov2263 No it wasn't.
Apparently you're too ignorant to know this didn't exist then and ever so stubborn. The Chevrolet Tahoe did not enter production until *January 20, 1995* , AFTER the June 1994 OJ chase. It was FIRST released for sale in *March 1995* .
Only the bigger GMT400 Suburbans were in use, not these shorties.
Again, you do not know what you're talking about and are making a childish argument on the obvious.
A lot of you kiddies who weren't around back then or old idiots with a terrible memory, seem to be the first folks to comment on these past artifacts without the facts.
This is much newer than a 1995 Tahoe, maybe being a 1999 or 2000 police fleet model according to other comments.
I really do not see the point of arguing with someone more informed than yourself, just because you feel it's similar to some nostalgic era.
Stop spreading misinformation because you're too lazy to figure out the facts for yourself.
I bet that things got some stories to tell
Yeah how they used to go around beating on black people in the 90's and 80's
Yep just like the OJ case
My cousin is a lapd detective his name Josh cole and uncle retired from the lapd swat officers his is swat officer Jack Crabtree RIP swat officer Jack Crabtree I am friends with lapd swat and lapd officers and Fresno police department and Fresno fire department too go lapd and Fresno police department too !!!

Im glad you both said this

They don't drive an suv
Then add mods@@carreviewer6345
That's a 1999 Tahoe Z56 Police pkg and most likely one of the last "in service" units in the country !!
in my city they still have a 70-80s ford f250 pick up in service
Saw one being used by some bay area department recently
Looks like the the most reliable Chevy SUV of them all!
I believe it has a Corvette engine in it. It's cheaper to just rebuild the engine and transmission than buy a new one.
@@rona3808 This Tahoe has the Vortec 5.7 engine. The 1999 Corvette has the 5.7 LS1 engine both are NOT related and completely different designs
Even the cop has the 90's vibe
Lovin' it!

The 90’s how we all miss it
Best time to be alive
its remarkable how long vehicles last when not exposed to road salt winters.
I’m from so cal, drive a 95 jimmy that sat outside its whole life and the frame is mint. 3/4 control arms are still Oem and the bushings don’t make a squeak. It’s crazy seeing how destroyed cars and trucks get from salting the roads it seems like hell owning an old truck out there I don’t know how you guys do it.
@@alexeimikhailov7690 the thing you have to do is go through the car wash with the underside sprayer soon as it gets above freezing, and keep doing that to get the salt off your frame as soon as you can. It still rusts, but it helps, vehicles just dont last as long here as they do in warm/dry climates.
Code3 MX7000 lightbar. It was a groundbreaking design back in its day.
Still very effective.
Why was it ground breaking
@@randomdude1053Sweeping intersection lights, powerful rotators. Plenty of takedown and traffic advisory options to keep officers safe and notify traffic
@@Average_Ohio_EquinoxPlease correct if I'm wrong. But wasn't it for the longest time a simple red light on top of the car? I know in some states and departments it's different
@@DarkLink1996 It depends on what you’re referring to. In LA, it used to be one or two can lights on the roof of the car that flashed amber back and forth with each other at the rear, and were steady red at the front. Then LAPD switched to rotating light bars like the Twinsonic and Aerodynic and Jetsonic. Then they went to Code 3 rotating bars. Some of their undercover units just had a red light behind the mirror and amber blue deck light in the back. Nowadays they use Federal Signal Arjent and Valor bars.
Something about rotating beacon will always have a place in my heart. ❤
For me, it's the flashers that gradually flash instead of piercing throughout your eyes, lol
Beautiful to see this still running strong 💪🏻
Always cool to see old school stuff still being used

That is literally cool AF 👍🎉 love these GMT400 trucks and SUVS. Thing will go forever with no rust

Lmao this shit is so cool. If I were a rookie cop, and they gave me the “beater” crown Vic or truck, I’d ride that shit with pride. 😎
Ok! These days you need all hands on deck! Transportation is a must!!
That chevy better than the new cars around it.
Amen
Doubt it, a modern Camry outrunning that thing 💀
@@fritztm9261 not about speed, about longevity. If they need to chase a Camry they can use chargers and other cars... These will be long gone in a couple of years, the Tahoe though.... Will be around for many years to come.
Gotta love them older Chevys. Such a classy looking Tahoe, absolutely gorgeous.
That Police vehicle is great ‼️👮💪
I had a 1984 suburban I purchased it in Montana because my car that I was using to go from Philadelphia to Seattle for a job the engine blew up I purchase the suburban in Billings Montana from a used car business called Honest Ernie's used cars I paid $650 for it... I immediately went over to Walmart which is like a mile away and got an oil change and check all the fluids... The suburban made it over three mountain ranges on way to Seattle I work there for about a year using the vehicle everyday..... Went to North Carolina to help a friend move down to Florida use the vehicle there for eight months then drove up to visit my parents in Pennsylvania.. probably still running now
The purchase of the suburban and was in 2007
I guess his business lived up to his name!
dang $650 for a running squarebody suburban, today they’d go for at least 8 grand 😭
Why would you leave it running, was the ignition switch broken?
Philadelphia to Seattle got dayum! That's hella far for a drive...and especially in that haha.
Wow beauty! Too bad no box caprice though!
oh man, those big whale looking mofos, we called them shamus
Last box Caprice I saw in use was the Grand Isle (VT) Sheriffs in the late '00s. That's a summer tourist area, lots of officers alternate between them and ski towns so that unit probably spent all those winters in the county garage.
They probably kept it because it's an SUV lol
That vehicle is ballin. I'd rock that.
Look at that beautiful lightbar.
Hahahaha it is a veteran, it was involved in the OJ chase
😆😆😆😆
wrong that's a 1999 Tahoe ppv
@@Chicagoguy1984 looks more like a 1996 3500 w/t Tahoe

Oj chase was June of 1994
I had one of those to me when I was a Detective. It was fast and handled very well at I high speed. Tons of room for equipment.
I'm happy to see one of those still looking brand spanking new and still working
"To the O.J.mobile!!!!" 🚔
That truck is so clean
That’s nuts that thing is in that good condition and still being utilized.
I love those cars. My city still has one for the recreational areas.
We used to have a mean woman cop in our town that drove this model of police cruiser. She used to pick on all the school kids.
Congratulations
Damn
Rookie’s first patrol unit, 😅😅
Someone with some pull is holding on to this
😂Right
1991 Crown Vic in Orange Co FL is still in use as well.
Legend has it, was the truck that pulled over Chalino. 😂
Raw Utility Vehicle not fancy just a lot of room, Practical and a V8
OG Chevy goes hard n the paint! OH yeah "bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna d😮😮o, what you gonna do, when they come for you"
140ft to the gallon,love it
Bro no💀
Bro I’d rock the aviators and grow out my Stache for many months to rock that beautiful truck. People would be so confused if I rolled up next to them at a light in that
Sick AF 👍🏼with the code3 light bar
That's super cool! Gotta love the classics!
Keep OG in the fleet 👍♥️
The 90 Omega Sirens ❤😢
I love the classic suv lightbar if it is a light bar,its a shame tou don't see those anymore
Remember when they had the chevy caprice’s? Black and white they looked like willie the whale, and always scruffed the exhaust when they’d hit dips because they had almost no ground clearance. They were fun to watch when the sparks were coming out from underneath.
I remember back in the 90's, I was sitting at a red light, and 2 cops ran into each other while going to a call. One was in a caprice, the other was in a crown vic.
Absolutely beautiful
Did not know they made those Suburbans with sealed beam headlights.
Probably a custom version made for cops
It's a Tahoe. The Suburban has a longer rear
Base model and work truck had glass headlights.
C/k model or w/t… commercial/ work truck
Reminds me of the old FDNY battalion chief units pre 9/11.
Those were excursions weren’t they?
@@BranDone-qv6qv I believe the excursions were the replacement for the old suburbans.
That thing was probably on scene when they beat Rodney King
Nope, these didn't exist until '95 and neither did the '92 Suburban version. Not everything '90s was available the whole decade.🤦♂️
Absolute Unit.
i want to see this car in a high speed police chase let the 454 v8 roar
Whats shocking is that the intersection sweeps are still working. They are the first to go on those MX7000
Old is gold 🎉🎉🎉! When comes to LAPD ! These Guys Always Young & Roaring With Old Queens🎉🎉🎉
got the swagger n mannerisms
Better then most new cars
bro pulled up like the LA Riots are still going on 😭
(I do love the car tho dont get me wrong)
I know I'll never see those old cars in NY
NYPD actually has their vintage fleet as well, they bring them out during special events
That thing better go in a museum
That thing chased OJ!
If I were an LAPD officer, that's the PERFECT patrol vehicle for me. It has a minimum of computer systems. I'm basically Det. Spooner from 'IRobot' anyway. I still wear a Timex Ironman and buy and watch movies on DVD.
I don't trust Bluetooth or AI or modern computer technology in general. I DO NOT use emojis and don't know or care what "hashtag" means. I don't WANT to know. I've never had or wanted any kind of social media accounts. Technologically, I'm a grumpy old man and don't care to ever change that.
Even the siren is nostalgic
Hi this is Attie Smith lapd police officer. At los Angeles police department.
Almost prefer the old lightbars instead of Christmas tree police cars of today.
This just proves that video quality wasn’t bad back then… it was just the way back then looked 😂
I wanna hear the engine ring out to redline. Those obs v8 engines sound great!
That’s shit so cool it’s grandpa and grandson😂
32 years of living in LA and I have never seen one of those.
During the day I bet he puts on raybans.
They need to keep this gem going
Wonder if anyone would just keep driving thinking he was an impersonator 😂
Ol Skool Classic Tahoe: Patrol Edition.
Surprisingly they didn’t retire it!
What an old SUV!
Keep the classics! At least one of every model in every department, imo. Every state needs to do this. Some do, I know.

Beautiful Chevy suburban
That thing is amaaazing 🤤
That was its top speed too
That truck definitely chased o.j.
make cars look like cars again
Unfortunately safety standards and manufacturers being cheap has caused vehicles to look like straight dog shit now lol
At the time it was purchased, this was a supervisor's (aka sergeants) car. Therefore it has low miles and why it is still in use.
No salt belt to deal with means beauties like these.

Ah the old bubble gum machine 😂 🚨
wow a Tahoe with such small wheels looks odd. Interesting.
