i play with glasses, and almost couldn't see anything without them. but when i play without my glasses, i find it weird that i made almost around 95% of shots but straight straight shots are still very hard
im thinking maybe my ability is pretty bad since i can play as good with a way worse vision. what do you think?
im an average player, run racks at least once every 10 attempts

If you miss straight shots (with or without your glasses), you either have a stroke issue or a visual alignment issue. For more info and help, see:

I am right handed but left eye dominant and I feel like it is physically impossible for me to align my vision with this stroke. Do you have any tips?

Find your personal best stance using the advice in the videos here:
      billiards.colostate.edu/faq/stance/
It will probably help to open your stance.

Also make sure you first carefully find your "vision center" head position using the procedure in the first video here:

When I try this, I can’t get the ball in the air. It only works when I use the regular stroke. Any advice? Thanks!

Keep the grip and wrist as relaxed as possible and use a throwing or flicking type motion. For much more help, see the videos here:

Im not saying jumping the ball doesnt take skill. But ultimately i think it takes away from the true skill of the game. I think the ball should stay on the table.

The jump shot is a very important weapon in modern pool. They demand excellent safety play.

@@DrDaveBilliards I just think it ultimately is more skillful to play your angles than to just jump over the ball. They both have their risks and I'm not saying it doesn't take skill. But the fact that they let them use different cues for jumping is over the top. This is just my personal opinion and I'm very aware that is not gonna stop it from happening. 😂

@@stephenchampagne1534I agree. For me, kicking takes more skill and is more fun to watch; especially when you have specialized cues for jumping.

@@ruffdawgg Agreed. Accurate kicking definitely requires more knowledge and skill.
