Time for a bit of rod fishing, this time Jamie is back on Arena lake to look at an aggressive approach to bomb fishing which has been catching him loads of carp this year.

i wound like to say thank you you have got my heart back in fishing after loseing my dad 3 mouths ago he was my fishing parter and said we wound go fishing when he got better but seeing you to as made me think that he wound still what me to go thanks andy and jamie

Great video lads as per, I noticed jamie did something I do too when bomb fishing by adjusting the tension through just touching the spool instead of winding the handle

When using silicone on hook it goes up the shank after a bite which is a great way of showing if ya been done I've been doing it for years

I fished flouro hooklinks and was having the same problems
Switched back to mono a lot better
Alows the bait to rise that bit quicker.
Quality as always. When i fish the bomb i use a plastic coated line for hook length and peel coating back to tie hook on it keeps the line so straight and lets the carpies hook themselves on the weight of the bomb.
Most match venues ban braid but if allowed it’s a good option

I use a method feeder set up as a bomb. Basically it's a method feeder without bait in the feeder. It also means I can use it as a feeder without having to change a thing 😁

Just scale it up so bigger hooks and hookbaits to make sure it still stands out.

Doesn’t really offer any pros, if anything you want something more supple so it’s less likely to spring the hookbait off the pile of feed.

Generally open water when you aren’t fishing to a feature like an island. So the pellets become the feature in your peg

Just something to add from the carp side of things. Just a little tip I found out about the rigs make sure the hair is in a straight line from where the eye of the hook is when using silicone. Something like this
