  • If you dilute your dogs shampoo, your dog will get cleaner, stay clean longer as well as save you time and money.
Learn how to make your dog shampoo work harder for you and your pet. Did you know you may be improperly using the products you purchase to clean and condition your pets? In this lesson, I will share the secret you need to know in order to get the most out of the products you use to clean your pets at home.

Understanding the dangers in bathing your dog is important also and I will share them with you in this video.
Find dog grooming products online has never been easier but if you use them correctly the results will amaze you! How to get your dog clean has some science involved, you must follow the formula to benefit completely and it is my pleasure to share my secrets of the grooming industry with you!
There are reasons you should dilute your pet's shampoo and conditioner:
1.) Shampoo is shipped and would normally contain about 80% water. Shipping costs are calculated by size and weight. Therefore if the shampoo we purchase for our pets is concentrated and 80% of the water is taken out of the equation, our shipping cost is less burdening than if the shampoo contained a substantial amount of water in the product.
With that said, concentrated pet shampoo is not meant to use unless it is diluted. Meaning it is too strong to use on the skin and coat without adding the appropriate amount of water it was formulated to contain. Dilution ratios are clearly noted on the bottle of your concentrated shampoo or conditioner for dilution instructions.
2.) The results your shampoo will produce for you and your pet may be discouraging if you improperly dilute the product. If you use too much water than recommended, the active ingredient will not clean your dog as intended because the shampoo is far too watered down. On the other hand, if you do not add enough water when diluting your shampoo or conditioner the active ingredient could prove to be too harsh…irritating the skin and coat as well as leaving product build-up into the coat. This will weigh down the coat, cause things to stick to the coat instead of repelling dirt, dander, and grime.
3.) Some products are not meant to be diluted and you just need to read your labels and follow the instructions suggested by the product developers.
4.) Another important thing to remember when diluting your pet shampoo and conditioner is to use warm water instead of cold when mixing your dilatable product. Warm water will activate the ingredients which will produce the results the product promises to provide for your pet.

What if its only for 1 dog? I know if you don't use it within 24 hours it can be dangerous to use because of bacteria.

If we're supposed to use the product the day of then how do we portion it just enough for the bath that day? Or do you just recommend buying ready to use shampoo for home users

Hello! Is there any special shampoo and conditioner for a Black Russian Terrier dog? I’ve heard horse products are good, what’s your take? I also have a Bernadoodle and would i be able to use the same for both? Love your channel I also subscribed 💕

Hi Maria:) you have very cool dog breeds! Honestly I think you would like the coat handler undercoat control shampoo and conditioner for both.

Oh wow! I had no idea!
What would you recommend for daily washing of paws after walks. I would waste a lot of product if I couldn’t use it all... perhaps using pre boiled water?
    Thank you for your suggestions.

I saw the DUZ dryer at Super Zoo last year. I liked that it was lightweight and you can easily move the dryer nozzle around in different positions. I think it would be good for use in a pet home with a couple of dogs, but I’m not sure it would stand up to heavy use.

Hi, I’m a home groomer and I just started diluting my dog shampoos. I use tropiclean and follow the instructions, but I’m not getting any suds on my dog, certainly nothing like what you’re showing in this video. Is that wrong? It feels really watered down. Thanks!

I buy tropiclean shampoo and it’s very thick. But there is no ratio on my bottle. I buy the 20 oz bottle so it’s much smaller than yours. Do I still dilute it according to the 16:1?

👎 This is absolutely the wrong way of diluting‼️ Such a measuring scale on the bottles was created by the manufacturer specifically to make you waste more product‼️ This method ignores the size of your dog.‼️ For example, if you need to wash a mini Yorkie, then you do not need 1 liter of mixed liquid, you only need 320-400 ml of water and 20 ml of shampoo mixed in a bowl and this is at a dilution of 1:16 But using this bottle you will spend 900 ml of water and 100 ml of shampoo for one wash🤯 Plus the shampoo won't dissolve because there isn't enough free space left in the bottle to shake. So don't use those stupid mixing bottles‼️
