I listened to majority of the podcasts a couple years ago when i got my life together. It helped me change the way i lived and im in a great place now, but im about to restart at 1 and improve my life more. @@marckg6950 You should look into Ethan Suplee's story, you might learn some valuable information on diet and exercise. He probably weighed well over 400 pounds and got down to the mid 200 range. I know that the cards are stacked against you having cancer at 60 years old but it is physically possible for you to lose weight if you come up with the right game plan and stick to it. Listen to Jocko for inspiration, he will provide you with the right mindset, good luck man.

Code,...SFQC Standard was 18 on speed, what happens is you need to copy what you send with only 3 mistakes max. You need to TUNE IN ON IT WITH YOUR EAR. I could receive at 24, but send at 18 with mistakes. Shitty Fist, cuz my sending wasn't spaced right with certain letters. The mind needs to be tuned in to hearing the Dits and DAHS, and the Spacing is critical in each letter. If you don't practice sending and copying what you send, over time it will degrade fade, then forget certain letters. It's important not to get BURNT OUT by too much code. Practice 15 minutes per day is good at a progressive speed untill your Fist is 100% copy. The distraction of noise, makes it more difficult to Copy Code. Need to memorize 3 LETTER Q CODES. BTB's, In cipher, De cipher, One Time Pad, Daily Code Word, Freqs for Radio. That's what it takes to be a Commo Operator on an ODA Team.
Building speed with a snowboard means willing to take calculated risk. Falling first with the full rush and then letting go when you feel yourself losing control. Finding a zone where you can disengage from the full force of speed. The expectation is bigger the jump with the more speed built or letting it go for full focus with any powder that might slow someone down. Getting on the real hard dry ice with a narrow land is the riskiest in my opinion. Putting in a swivel for breaking prevents a full fall.
I like jumping on the trampoline to fall into the motions of the flip. The reverberation of the jump into a flip has to be coordinated. This is something I practice on my own until I can really get into the back flip and land in my feet. It’s not really about getting more air, it’s more about using the force to the initial flip and letting gravity flow. Fully committing to the flip means standing up vertical. And once the flip is in motion you cannot wait to fully flow into the landing or it will be missed.
Swimming is about repetition and is meditative. I know because I’ve been a swim instructor since in was 15. The water suspense a person and motion brings momentum forward. You can put many reps through the water without getting overwhelmed because the only force acting against you is water. Most times it’s predictable and easy to maneuver. Fear comes in when in waters ways with active waves and currents without the predicability of a pool. If you build your a skill strong enough in swimming then really situational awareness is key so you are not slamming into anything. In open water, the current can be as strong as it is, and swimming is no problem.
There are two types of fear: rational fear and irrational fear. Fear is developed in a pattern of reasoning based on what we know about a situation, person, or a group. You conduct yourself accordingly. The rational ones do things that will not harm themselves. The irrational are willing to mess with things they shouldn’t be. Someone can very easily find themselves on that slippery slope if they are not aware of other factors. For instance I maybe very rational in my skills in swimming in open water, until the water depth suddenly drops and am going to run into jagged rocks. I’m thinking I’m swimming int the right direction to get where I need to go and then there is unexpected drag back by having to go around it or get cut up by it. it’s irrational to swim through it.
Frustration very easily turns into depression when plans do not turn out or there is refusal for anyone of the targeted parties to back down. It was talked about in Murphy’s law podcast 376. The trouble with having expectations of what will is you will conduct yourself accordingly, and might have it work against you in away you didn’t expect. Fear then has to be controlled for by suppressing it and having another plan to deal with the unexpected errors from getting in the way.
