    My former CO is (hopefully still is) the definition of a man. He is over 2m tall (way over 6 feet for Americans), had muscles like a Greek god, and was so soft-spoken - I never saw him raise his voice in anger. He always was modest, acknowledged the achievements of others, always had a helping hand for others, and was an absolute monster with every weapon you could give him - the word 'killing machine' is not strong enough to describe how fast and smart he was.
    One day, after the work was done, I went for a run. Headphones in, focused on my run in the woods around the base, entered the base, ran a few extra rounds to give it my all, and then collapsed on the mat we had there for high jumps. I was there for a minute or two, then a "Thump" and he was right next to me and said, "That was a good run!" He had been behind me the whole time. I was 21, he was around 36. I was at that time really fit and not slow - yet he shadowed me AFTER doing his training. He told me that he saw me starting while leaving the gym and just thought "Yeah, let's do that!". He didn't know how far, how long - he just did it. And did he boast about it? Hell no. He complimented me on how fast I was, told me he struggled and had to push in the last round because he was falling behind (I sprinted), and asked me if we could do that again.
    I had the honor to serve 3 months under him before he had to move along - I and others have countless stories like that, where he was just there to help, to give advice, to comfort... If that man were to call me up today, I would follow him into hell itself knowing we would win - we may not live, but the job would be done.

    This may sound a bit nerdy, but a good role model is Aragorn from Lord of the Rings. For me, this fantasy character is more masculine in every way than all those pseudo-alphas on social media. Aragorn represents a modern idea of masculine identity that is more focused on altruism than dominance. He is respected by his peers as a leader, not because of his physical strength or fighting abilities, but because he embodies qualities such as selflessness and wisdom. He is stoic and courageous, yet he shows emotion and empathy.
    Fantasy or not, this role was written by a real man born at the end of the 1900s.

    I can speak from personal experience (as an ex "player"), a high body count damages men. It damages their brain's dopamine receptors, the same way that porn and frankly any addiction does. It also leads to deep soul wounding that makes it very hard to commit to anything worthwhile in life. It also becomes hard to emotionally feel any sense of intimacy or depth of connection about anything on a deep level. Most guys (and females) with high body counts are deeply depressed and seeking validation in all the wrong places. You are not James Bond (read the books, he's usually depressed and rarely gets the girl). You are not Conan the Barbarian (watch the movie- he lost everything). You are not some fictional character. random youtuber here, but I hope my experience does any good for your situation. I was 19 y.o when I gave my first kiss and lost my virginity, to the same girl. My primary reason for having sex was so if people asked, I could truthfully say I was not a virgin, and had in fact kissed at least one girl. Because I felt ashamed that I didnt up to that point.
      The only thing that changed after having sex was feeling relieved of that shame, that it was no longer there. It didnt change who I was or what I did, it was just an event or action lost in time.
      Looking back, though, what kind of asshole would make fun of someone for not having sex? Its ridiculous, and thats the kind of people you wouldnt want in your life anyway, so ignore them and move on.
      Try to think what you really want out of it, and not what society expects you to get, because chances are it wont fulfil you.

    That body count flex at the beginning of the video was diabolical lol. I always like to point out, that it’s the types that have had the experiences that always echo they don’t matter. They weren’t saying any of this in the process, or else they would’ve stopped. Similar to a millionaire saying money doesn’t matter or a black belt saying belts don’t matter. It’s very easy to say that once you’ve reached the end state. I don’t think body count one is a lie, it’s an experience young men absolutely need to have in order to have the appropriate experience going forward.

    • @-glitch-8195
      @-glitch-8195 Před 5 měsíci +5

      Oh the irony of you calling that "diabolical". Please explain how body count helps you have an "appropriate experience" moving forward. If anything, males who sleep around become accustomed to it. Therefore, making them unable to keep a healthy longterm relationship. They rarely learn anything, & instead repeat the same mistakes because they're thinking with the thing between their legs. Reality kicks in when a death occurs in the family, wife has a miscarriage, children have disciplinary issues, financial issues arise, etc. How exactly is body count gonna help you then? 😂😂😂😂

    • @TitansQuarterback16
      @TitansQuarterback16 Před 5 měsíci +3

      @@-glitch-8195 that’s a solid question. Personally I would typically agree with you, but the way things are now, generally speaking the woman you’ll settle down with is likely to have much more sexual experience than you. Statistically speaking most men don’t have sex these days anyways. Having experience with a lot of women gives you perspective on things and have a general understanding of what they truly find attractive. Anecdotally I’ve had a lot of experience and settled down with a virgin and if anything it’s helped me be a better partner. You need to understand a variety of viewpoints and racking up bodies allows you to do so because you understand those women on a rather deep level even if it’s a one night thing. It takes a lot for a woman to sleep with someone and if you’re truly paying attention there’s a lot to learn. What’s your thoughts? Genuinely interested in your perspective.

      Sure it may be nice to have someone who knows what they’re doing. It makes it less awkward in the beginning. But it might also be exciting to have someone who’s inexperienced. Nothing wrong with learning along the way. Either way, if your woman dumps you because you don’t have impeccable technique right from the start she’s not the one you’d want to spend your life with anyway.
      And to get that kind of experience you don’t need to sleep with 30 women either. You might as well sleep with the same one 30 times. There’s no magic switch that sexually satisfies all women to discover, no matter how many you sleep with. Maybe you can observe some general trends what’s received well and what isn’t but nothing more.
      Everyone’s different. The most reliable way to find out what YOUR woman finds attractive is to ask HER. To experiment with HER. And not with 30 other women.

    Antonio, I don’t often comment on videos, but this one begs exception. Your message in this video is something every young man in this country should hear. Stellar advice, stellar no nonsense presentation. You have given a glimpse of what is inside yourself, and after seeing that, I think you have given much more merit to all the other advice you give on your channel. At age 72, I worry for our younger generation. You are showing them, and maybe some older guys too, what values really count in life. Above all, that without self-respect, why should you be worthy of respect from anyone else. Great job on this video!

    This is good advice for young men. However, having a high body count when you are young (under 25) isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It does increase your experience and you can learn a lot of things that otherwise you wouldn’t. But its very important to protect yourself during this time.
    Building wealth isn’t a bad goal for young men but I think setting goals and building them out is more important than just chasing money.
    Having a strong sense of community always helps build character. Regardless of the community you choose.

They would pretty much agree with you on all your points. That being said we all know that successful men = high body count and yes money doesn't equal success but it helps a LOT to your success and freedom.

    I think the last part about Happiness is especially important and I think there are multiple ways to learn that lesson. The best one in my opinion is watching a role model live that reality, the worst one is to actually reach the goals you set with a motivition of "if x, then I will be happy" and then realise that absolutely everything is empty and lonely. You start to feel like everything except yourself and you get so angry that you are not happy that you enter a self destructive cycle until you hit rock bottom. If one gets out of that state of mind, they definitely learned a lot about happiness but they also lost a lot during that journey.

    Regarding topic #1: the absurd extreme on sleeping with many women is a poor take. But it’s clear right now that a growing number of men are becoming sexless. That’s not due to pr0n or video games or weed. It’s cultural and technological shifts altering women’s dating preferences. When men appear to have zero shot at a sexual relationship, whether it is short term or long term, that can lead to some real problems. And to have a long term relationship, you have to start said relationship.
    Abundance solves many problems in life, and I would submit that the ability to be attractive matters. How you use it becomes a point of subjective morality.
    sure, there’s no magic number, but you at least need the skill set. And that skill set requires some success with women to affirm “okay, I can do this.” If you want to refute person A, you also should to offer an alternative.

    • @nelsoncorreia7293
      @nelsoncorreia7293 Před 5 měsíci +8

      Just to add onto this -- if you have less experience you may be willing to settle for what you can get in terms of long-term relationships, even if it's not for the best.
      The ability to find a partner easily and the experience gives you the ability to say "I will not tolerate this" in relationships, whereas a guy with no experience is likely going to pedestalize his first girlfriend which can lead to problems.
      It's not a black and white issue, but having more experience is typically better for men than less experience. So, I agree 100% with the abundance part.

    • @blancantutumu2338
      @blancantutumu2338 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@nelsoncorreia7293 i don't think having sex with many women is the same as knowing them, you can have sex with many and still don't have any experience with women. Each woman is different and what You did with one or two might not be what your future wife will want or need. That's why relationships shoul start with a solid friendship to know each other, when sex enters first before friendship, people don't ask the correct questions anymore, they don't take the time to really know each other anymore. And You find out You are rotally different from the person You are with. And of course You can totally have a succesful marriage with the first woman or man in your life, no need to fool around before cause You will end up full of traumas and bagage.

    • @nelsoncorreia7293
      @nelsoncorreia7293 Před 5 měsíci

      @@blancantutumu2338 I agree partially -- having many one night stands doesn't really "teach" you much at all.
      But at the same time the whole idea of settling for your first partner, and having this marriage turn out well is overly-optimistic and is frankly just too risky for men. I'm very glad I didn't end up marrying any of my exes, but I am not dismissing the possibility that it's possible that a man's first girlfriend be a great wife, it just happens that they probably are not going to be marriage material.
      A young man in his late teens or early twenties frankly does not have much going for him and is not as "competitive" as a more mature man in his 30s, but when you consider what men value most in relationships, younger women in the late teens/early twenties have it much better than men do. There's a reason it's pretty common (and easy) for college-aged women to dump their highschool boyfriends than it is vice-versa. I get where you are coming from, but it is nothing less than harmful to men to be so attached to their first in many cases.
      My first girlfriend was my friend for two years before we dated but that did not stop her from looking around behind my back, and as a naive young man I was too infatuated to really do anything about it.
      Call it what you will, but with experience I tolerate less and less in relationships due to my experiences. 18 year old me did not have the choice but to have low standards. As the poster of the above comment said, most men really need abundance before they settle down. It would solve a lot of problems in their life.

    I just discovered your channel. Great content, especially the ones about how to dress.
    I must take exception with one point you made: Happiness is not your end goal. To which Aristotle would say: "Hold my beer." Ayn (rhymes with "fine") Rand was expositing what Aristotle had claimed 2,200 years ago.
    Here are some of Ayn (again, it rhymes with "mine") Rand's quotes from her own writings regarding happiness. I think the last one of these quotes (Quote #5) is somewhat more in line with what you said about happiness being a by-product:
    1. "Happiness is that state of consciousness which proceeds from the achievement of one’s values."
    2. "By the grace of reality and the nature of life, man-every man-is an end in himself, he exists for his own sake, and the achievement of his own happiness is his highest moral purpose."
    3. "Happiness is a state of non-contradictory joy-a joy without penalty or guilt, a joy that does not clash with any of your values and does not work for your own destruction, not the joy of escaping from your mind, but of using your mind’s fullest power, not the joy of faking reality, but of achieving values that are real, not the joy of a drunkard (or the mindless kicks of a man-slut!), but of a producer."
    4. "Happiness is possible only to a rational man, the man who desires nothing but rational goals, seeks nothing but rational values and finds his joy in nothing but rational actions."
    5. "Existentially, the activity of pursuing rational goals is the activity of maintaining one’s life; psychologically, its result, reward and concomitant is an emotional state of happiness."

    Hey Captain, So I'm 72, did 29 years as an Officer and Aviator active and reserve as well as working in Silicon Valley for companies such as SanDisk. When I was mobilized in 2002 I stayed until I hit my MRD in 2010. I realized that working in business was interesting but now as satisfying as doing something for a greater good so instead of going back to business I took my skills and went to work first for Customs and Border Protection and then for the Navy. The satisfaction that I am in a small way supporting our country and the service members on the front line is much more important than making a lot of money. We have communicated before and I think you are doing a great job of mentoring the younger men we have in society. Semper Fi Marine and keep up the good work.

    I'm going to be 30 in January, and you know what, it's been a while ago now that I've realised I'll never be rich or super successful with women. But I know that there is a piece of cake out there for me and I get after it.
    When I was 19 my boss saw me talking to girls that visited our agency for seasonal work, and he gave me one mark of advice, he said; never allow a woman insult you, never. Really helped me on the way, and that's because criticism is fine, but insults, no body should put up with that shit.
    Oh, and almost forgot... the director gave me one more, he said, you always have a choice, always.

    Narcissism in its original form was about extreme vanity . Narcissism is a personality disorder involving manipulation , need for control extreme selfishness. ive known narcissists who arent visually attractive. You can be very vain and still be considerate of others and have a good heart. Real narcissists have no heart. Love your videos, im 52 and overcoming a lengthy illness. Starting physical fitness and restyling from scratch ,You videos are a real motivation. Thankyou.

    I did 26 years in the RAN. I wouldn't say I was well off, and yes, like most other defence personnel, there was drinking and picking up in the regular. However, there were never any real connections, and that only turned into those feelings of what am I doing. That was 13-14 years. After I found my wife, I saw what was missing. This helped me appreciate my skills and what I had to offer. So, after almost 13 years of marriage, a life change after discharge and being part of extraordinary communities like this one, I now believe I am a richer person for it. Not dollars rich, but mentally and socially.

    The world could do a whole lot worse than learning more from Antonio.
    I'll tell you what I discovered this channel what feels like about 10 years ago as I was learning how to dress better and wanted more info. This channel is a great resource.
    But it feels right and well earned to hear this man with a large platform keeping it real and sharing some real knowledge alongside all his sartorial tips.

    I can remember when people would say “Money isn’t everything.” Or “Money can’t buy you happiness.” A few years ago I moved to a small town from a big city and I agree with you. The pace of life (in general) is so much better than in a big city. Housing is generally cheaper both for renting or purchasing. The attitudes of people in general are so much more freer.
