I was half-expecting you to paint them to look like burnt gingerbread cookies hahah!! That could be a cute Christmas theme!
Just a little tip if you do this again (that would be great :D) that I used to use for clay (slightly different from the clay in this video), if you draw a little sketch on parchment paper/baking paper and press in on the clay then the drawing will appear on the clay. it would be easier to cut out for custom shapes! Anyway, the pins look awesome! Will definitely do this sometime
Omg they turned out great--consider adding them to your shop. I may buy them ! Especially the cat-yolk one. :)
More clay videos please!
Little tip with clay! There’s a clay “glue” called liquid sculpy! It’s a glue like substance you use with oven bake clay! It bakes with the clay and helps it stick! There’s clear and glittery but it can be a life saver! Especially when sticking clay to clay or items to clay! It’s super helpful!
They are all so cute!! And the purple dog with the air bubble looks like he's nervous because he has something in his mouth that he shouldn't have, classic dogs
If you struggle to get them off their sheet you can refrigerate them briefly to make the clay firm up so they won't get warped coming off it
the steadiness of your hand when you paint with that teeny tiny pointed paint brush never ceases to amaze me :) love this vid! can’t wait to experiment w clay now 🙈
the air bubble on the dog looks like they have something in their mouth they are trying to hide 😭😭😭 too cute!!
Tip:
How high did you have your oven? At 100 - 110 celcius you can bake them nearly as long as you want without risking burning. Also you can cover with foil to prevent some burning. But yeah its only really an issue if you're using coloured clay that you don't intend to paint, gessoing over is a totally valid option! One of the earliest tips I got was to bake my clay at a lower temp than the instructions said, but for a longer amount of time.
These are super cute! I think you can use tacky putty or a kneaded eraser to use to prop up on for painting if it becomes awkward
Can we appreciate the fact she always boosts our moods.
These are so.FREAKING. CUTE!
I love the little egg yolks and peas in a pod, they're so cute! I definitely wanna try making something like this sometime :D
Thank you for showing the fact the clay got burnt. I have fear of imperfection when I start a new medium (heck even when doing something I'm used to...) so seeing an artist I really look up to and are inspired by go "I'm learning! :D" is super motivating <3
These turned out SO ADORABLY! I love playing around with clay but it never turns out half as good as this!
These are so amazing! Looking forward to seeing more!!!
i cant remember the last time i loved any art this much- THEY'RE SO ADORABLE AAAA ALL OF THEM!! THE LITTLE ANIMAL MONSTERS, THE CAT EGG YOLKS, I LOVE HOW THEY CAME OUT <33
oh i ADORE these!! it feels like how your style was meant to be seen somehow!??? just perfect
