I am a subscriber for some time now, it helps me a lot in Excel, Powerpoint and it made me a believer in OneNote in a previous video when Leila showed how she uses it, the only thing I honestly don't understand is why this valuable channel has only half a million subscribers ?! it is a hidden gem, thanks Leila for all your help
Leila, I'm awe-struck by the quality level of your video tutorials. You have a deep sense of teaching. I've produced some internal tutorials at the company I work for and I can appreciate the amount of efforts it requires. Your attention to details is truly impressive. There's not a single word out of scope, no repetition, neat examples and your speech sounds absolutely natural (with a discrete and classy touch of charm on top). Are you doing all this by yourself our do you get the help of a team?
Thank you! I'm fortunate to have a great team.

OneNote is the best app Microsoft ever created! I have used it since its intro and much of the last 10+ years of my life is documented in those notebooks but it is always great to hear another users view and application. To have meeting minutes in attendee hands before they have opened their laptop after leaving the meeting is nirvana!
Thank you Leila. You are certainly pretty wonderful in your delivery and knowledge.
As a mature aged student starting a new under grad degree this year, there wasn’t a lot of information on OneNote that wasn’t exclusively business oriented, and I had to learn by doing. I’m so glad I found your site, I have learnt so many new things to enhance what I’m already doing, which is basically the keeper of all my course notes and research. We get the office 365 suite free from my university, and it’s been invaluable to sync across my devices, a windows laptop and an iPad. My degree is heavy on academic reading, so I ‘drag and drop’ downloaded PDF’s to reading mode directly into OneNote pages (setting up folder, section and page system beforehand is important, one PDF per page). This syncs directly to my iPad, which I do most of my reading on, via a comfy chair. Clicking on Draw, selecting highlighting tool, I use my Apple Pencil to highlight and pen to hand write notes (a finger works just as well). This then syncs to my laptop. When writing assignments via Word, it’s easy to refer to highlighted notes - enabling me to go completely paperless.
Thanks for your feedback Rebecca!
Another get tool in OneNote for taking minutes is the audio recording function...With the permission of the meeting attendees you can record the meeting and type notes at the same time. When you are finish the recording play links are created that correspond to the notes your typed. This allows you to skip to a specific part of the recording regarding the note you made, to hear what was discussed. I love it.
Thanks for your tip!
Perfect! With Leila on our side, we can Unlock Power of Anything! Thanks again for another helpful video! :-)
Very helpful tips particularly web clipper & hyperlink, this makes life easy
Your explanation simplifies & i get hands on immediately
Thank for summarising all of the tips into a short concise video it’s just perfect 👍
Thanx a lot Leila for sharing your knowledge, i have tried to learn as much as possible about One Note , To Do and Outlook (They are such a good programs in my work ) and you have given me a very big help on the way.
That meeting details is a game changer for me and my note taking. THANK YOU!
A powerful tool no one talks about is OneNote's ability to index audio. In a meeting or presentation, you can click Insert and then record. OneNote will record and index the presentation. If you take notes you can indicated the spoken phrase and then later do a search for that phrase and the recording will go right to it.
Thank you! I watched both your videos and learned a lot. Linking sections is extremely useful.
Great to hear!
the 2 onenote sessions have been incredibly helpful! thank you!
WOW!!! Thank you again. Just watched other "Tips". Really helpful.
Outstanding. I keep telling everyone I know about your tutorials and videos. Best Relatable teacher out there ! Thanks again
I love and use your videos all the time. Thank you!
Leila, I used OneNote as a way to share project files with my team who were spread across the US, (we managed over 150 locations of our companies real estate and office space design projects for a large engineering and architectural firm). We placed the OneNote file on a SharePoint site and set up each office design project with a Notebook template in OneNote and set up templates sections and pages which were laid out the same for each project. This allowed everyone to have access to the most current information on the project and know where it is located (if the team members uploaded it of course). It is a very powerful tool for keeping everything organized, and even expandable to multiple people using other Microsoft applications. Thanks for all of your learning videos they are very clear and informative.
Thanks for your feedback, Dennis!
wonderful, i really enjoyed you have a good, clear and enjoyable method to present information.
thank you
I use the shortcuts to specific pages and add to my phones screen all the time. Shopping, to do lists, recipes. Love it
I would too - but I like to use google home - shopping list, and in that case I just tell google to make a list (any list) and then tell it to add things to it
Very good tips here. Linking between notebooks, sections & pages is very useful.
Thank you for sharing this inspiring and informative video. I have always been looking for a skillful technique that would help me putting my messy notes together for an easy access whenever I need them.
You are so welcome, Paul!
Love how you connect with your subscribers ❤️ Great content !

Hi Leila, I discovered recently your tutorials on CZcams. They are so helpful in my line of work. Thank you for your organization and helpful tips for the Microsoft Apps.
You are so welcome!
I use OneNote for managing thing at work and also keep notes regarding my stuff. I have locked the stuff notes since it is personal information. Really like it. I have noticed that you go to the lock icon each time when actually all you have to do is press 'enter' key and type in the password. That easy.
Great tip!
Thanks for sharing these tips Leila. Really useful tips. I'm a regular user for one note and there are lot of hidden features. Thanks once again for sharing 👍
You're so welcome!
Didn't know about the sharing meeting notes. Great 👍🏻 Thanks.
The Web Clipper is also very useful with context menu (mouse right click). This way I use it to save only selected text, or pictures, not the whole article. Thanks for your videos!
Great tip! Thanks for sharing.

thank you!
Great video Leila, very useful
Glad you think so, Chris!
Great!! I just realized there's a recording feature to it too!!!
I use an alternate method to distribute meeting notes. (I meet with many teams and don't want to manage permissions to my OneNote.) Instead, I take notes as Leila describes. To send, in OneNote select File --> Send --> Email page. I delete the link to my OneNote page that is at the top of the message as a default and send the rest! (I also the link and dial-in details for the original meeting, which appear as default). So easy!
Thank you for these tips!:D
Excellent! Useful
Glad to hear that!
wonderful explanation!
Glad you think so!
One is is indeed a useful tool, thanks for the video!
You are welcome, Doug!
leila ! as always, your videos are so helpful and give so much information on tricks and features. im a little bit late, but i have a question about the hyperlink section: can you do it automatically ? like, has microsoft added a feature to automatically create a table of contents much like word does when you structure headings, but with the title of the pages or the sections or notebooks, etc ? thank you again for this video and for your channel !
You have set a gold standard for tutorial video
Glad you liked it, Julio!
All great tips Leila. I just created a protected login onenote. :)
Wonderful!
Great video today, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Leila, your videos are precious, you are the best tutor on CZcams. If you don’t mind, can you tell me if it is possible to sort Sections so that people I share my notebooks online can see the sections in the order I listed. Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Leila. Great channel! Wondering is there a way to add saved Excel/Word documents to One Note? Thanks!
Glad I found this video. I wanted to be able to highlight and make notes from a webpage in OneNote. Google Drive works but it can not what I found OneNote and WebClipper can do. I subscribed to find our more on how I can utilize OneNote for content creation. The bonus with OneNote is that it is synced with my PC, my laptop and the Samsung 360 Pro that I preordered. Samsung is doing some great partnering with MS. Thank you for the video!
Our pleasure!
Wow! Your videos are very educational and interesting, as are you Miss... thank you!
Glad you like them Ted!

Very very useful
Muchas gracias por la informacion! ;*
Great!!!
Great video!
Thanks, Kenneth!
Good job Leila! Do u know everything?👏👏
Thanks Leila for this great tutorial.. do you have any tips how to use onenote effectively
on an Android device with Stylus?
Congrats!
Thank you - these are the best and most informative videos I have ever found. I have 1 question please - how can I delete old notebooks, or move them all into another notebook called "old stuff". To confuse me further - my OneNote is doing the OneDrive sync thing and this seems to have changed some of my functions
Thanks. I'd settle for one note which has basic features covered before all this stuff. For example - exporting a page (printing to pdf is a workaround). Or being able to easily move inside a page, like with the panning hand of one note 2016. First things first
Thanks 🙏
Thank you for share, I would like to know how I can do that on OneNote for iPad and Mac. I hope you can tell me how work with OneNote and outlook. thank you again.
I’m just learning OneNote (as of 9/11/23). Really need a quick and simple tutorial. Hopefully I’m in the right place ❤
this links are mindblowing...👍
Glad you found something useful.
If you want to save the full web page, just save the page from the browser as html only or full web page. If you want to preserve the formatting, get an extension like 'Single File' which will save the whole web page as a single file and preserve the formatting.
The meeting notes part blew my mind
OneNote is just awesome to use and almost on par with excel regarding usefulness and value. Over the period I've been using Onenote i kept wondering why the password protect function was absent, or so I thought. I didn't realize that sections could be password protected and so I'm once again grateful for this video for highlighting that. Pity that the password protect function couldn't be standardizing across Microsoft programs though. that really would have been even more awesome. Excellent content, as usual, thank you.
Glad it was useful, Peter.
Hi Lisa, really appreciated you shared those tips, and I couldn't find add to home screen (08:36)on my iphone 7.., could you give me more suggestions? thank you
thanks.
great!
